ASSURED ENVIRONMENTS

This company sends inexperienced, oblivious so called technicians who do not come when they say they will and when they do come, do not follow up, even when there is clearly a pest control problem. When I spoke to the representative of the company by phone, it was clear that the left hand did not know what the right hand was doing.

We had used this company in the past to help us to get rid of a prior bedbug infestation. We were fairly satisfied the work they had done in the past. When our first round of treatments were not successful, they did a second round without charge and helped us to pack up our belongings again. Approximately 19 months after our last treatment, since we were moving out of our apartment, I wanted to make certain that we would not be bringing bedbugs to our new home. I asked Assured Environments if they could make certain that we no longer had bedbugs by bringing one of their bedbug sniffing dogs and they were happy to oblige. Since I'd been a customer in the past, I asked for and received a discount. Two days later, the handler and dog came to our apartment and searched for bedbugs. Unfortunately, the dog alerted in a few different places in our apartment, which, I believed, meant that we still had bed bugs. However, the handler told me that, actually, this particular dog could not tell the difference between live and dead bedbugs. Thus, the dog could very well have been alerting to the smell of dead bedbugs (or bedbug skins, bedbug waste, etc). Therefore, Assured Environments should never have agreed to this service, since their dog would not ever have been able to complete the assessment correctly. Despite not knowing whether or not there were actually bedbugs in our apartment, Assured Environments was happy to treat all of our belongings in a moving truck with pesticide so that we would be "bedbug free". They recently sent me an invoice which I have refused to pay, given that their service was fraudulent.

I called for help with a severe moth infestation. The office people were competent and professional over the phone, and we set up an appointment for a couple of days later. Two men arrived only slightly after the agreed time. They were dressed in slacks and ties, not work clothes to look at bugs, and they did not bring the necessary equipment with them. They asked to borrow a flashlight, and they asked me for bags or jars so they could take specimens of various bugs back to their office/lab. They asked me for sample contaminated items, which I provided, but then they decided they did not want to carry them. They did not appear to know anything about moths, which is the particular pest that I had specified when making the appointment. They could not answer my basic questions or provide any information about what treatments were available, how long the treatment might take, how effective I could expect treatment to be, or how much it might cost. They could make no recommendations or suggestions at all. Their condescending attitude was particularly inappropriate in light of their lack of expertise. They seemed distracted and were in a big hurry to leave. They ran out the door, taking the specimens in the bags I provided. I had to call out to them as they ran down the stairs to ask what the next steps were. They said their lab would identify the specimens, and they would call back the following day to propose a treatment plan. They never called, which did not surprise me, given the field reps' unprofessionalism.

I think that so far they have done a really good job keeping the roaches away. The price that I pay for the service is reasonable. This company was recommended to me by another exterminator. I also think that they are very professional.

THE EXPERIENCE WAS FINE. THEY TOOK CARE OF OUR PEST CONTROL IN THE ENTIRE BUILDING. THEY ARE VERY EFFICIENT AT SPRAYING THE ENTIRE BUILDING. THEY DO NOT LEAVE ANY MESS OR RESIDUE BEHIND AFTER THEY SPRAY.

THEY WERE GOOD TO WORK WITH. THEY CAME ON TIME, AND THE CHEMICAL AGENT THEY USED WAS NONINVASIVE, AND I HAVE NOT SEEN A MOTH AT MY HOUSE IN MONTHS.
