Apex Mold Specialists NY NJ CT

The minute the guy came into my house for the inspection he asked for a good review from me. I was a new mother at the time and wanted to make sure that I did not have black mold. I expressed to him that I was concerned and would like to find out as soon as possible if we did have a mold issue. He said that if I wanted an answer right away that I would have to go to my computer and give him a five star review. Then he could give me an immediate answer about if I had mold or not. He charged me for the lab fees and for the inspection. He then took some samples and said they would send them to the lab. They gave me an answer by letter saying that everything was fine and that there was no mold in my house. I hired a general contractor to come in and give a second opinion. The new contractor was very adamant about cutting a little hole in the sheet rock to make sure there was no mold behind it. There was black mold behind it. I ended up hiring the general contractor to treat for the mold. I did not reach out to this provider at the time because I was so busy. I just focused on getting the issue resolved. I feel like this was unprofessional and a waste of my money. It makes Angie's List look disreputable that the provider would ask for a review before the service was even done. I am very disappointed.

One guy came over on time and did infra-red inspection of the unit and took air samples inside and outside of the house, he also found two areas that weren't addressed by the water damage remediation company. He was very nice and professional. One of the best service providers I've dealt with on Angie's list. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

David was very thorough in his evaluation and inspection of our basement. We scheduled an initial appointment with the Angie's list deal to have the structure of the basement reviewed, air quality tested and reported. Following the report, the remediation services were completed, the team led by David was very thorough and detailed. They were helpful to us to include the follow up testing in our package. I hope we don't have to call Apex again but if we did, we would certainly rely on David and team to help us with any future issues.

I had a request from my lender (I was in the process of doing a refinance) to have a mold inspection done due to a stain on a wall in a bathroom. The lender had notified me a week before my rate lock was due to expire! I called Apex on a Friday, explained the situation, and David came out to my house in Suffolk County Long Island (he came from Brooklyn) on a Sunday morning in order to expedite the process. David went over the situation with me, took the needed tests/samples, and expedited the lab tests. I received my results on that Tuesday and was able to coordinate the closing within the needed time frame. As it worked out, I did not need any remediation done but if I had I would definitely have worked with David. He showed up on time, was very professional, did not rush through the process, answered any questions I had, and did make some recommendations for my house that I will definitely consider doing in the future. I would use him again in a heartbeat!

It went very well. They use state of the art equipment. Sends the samples to a lab in florida and they send you back the printed results. They were very thorough.

He took his time to assure me that my problem was not as bad as another person in the field had previously informed me.David told me I would get a full report within 3 days and I did.The report was very comprehensive. David from Apex scheduled an appointment on the same day I called. He explained over the phone exactly what he would do and how much it would cost. He arrived on time and visually inspected the entire house including a basement and three floors of our private home. He determined the ideal location to take a lab test. In addition he scanned the house with an infrared camera and used other electronics testing equipment. He explained how the camera works and what he was looking for. He explained the various scenarios of what kind of mold we may find and what would treatment would be necessary. He also took a lab sample outdoors for comparison purposes. David was extremely patient and carefully answered the many questions I asked. It was very clear from the process that he has a lot of experience and knows exactly what to look for and what he is doing. Two days later we got a call from the office explaining the results of the lab test as well as an email with the lab results. We were extremely pleased with his service and having the peace of mind knowing exactly what we are dealing with. I highly recommend anyone who suspects that they have mold to use Apex Mold Specialists and have David come down and inspect your property. Apex was very professional and thorough. After the inspection I received an extremely detailed report on the mold issue along with an estimate for remediation. Even though we were somewhat delayed in getting the remediation done (it was a building leak and we were waiting for an insurance settlement) they stuck to the quoted price. David was very polite and helpful and talked me through everything, in addition to working with our schedule. They did a great job treating the problem and getting rid of all the contaminated material. We noticed a difference in our sinuses right away! I would definitely recommend Apex and hire them again if need be (though I hope I won't have to).

After my hvac unit in my bedroom leaked, leaving me sick from the mold that grew there over the course of 6 months, I called Apex to come take a look. They were timely and professional, and gave me a comprehensive diagnosis and plan for a "cure" within a few days. After contemplating if it was worth the price to have them remove the mold or do it myself, I decided to hire them, and I'm so happy I did. When my job proved to be larger than they originally thought, they stuck to the original price, and completed the job, leaving my space totally spotless when they were finished. I'm now able to sleep in my bedroom knowing I'm not going to wake up with red eyes and unable to breathe. I would highly recommend them to anyone considering mold removal in the NYC area.

provider checked several walls for moisture content with a hand held meter. they said that if there was no moisture then there couldn't be any mold, even though i occasionally smell it.

It was great. They contacted me about 12-15 hours later, and serviced me the same day. They even came from New York to New Jersey to do the job.
