Description of Work: Called Apex when I had mold in an appartment in Sunnyside....they came right away sent a report and corrected the problem. A very professional company and I was very satisfied.

Description of Work: We purchased the big deal from Angie's list to have mold checked out in our basement. The guy was only in the house for about 10 minutes, if that. He was also very late due to getting lost. The product describing the mold was very helpful. Some of the interactions I had with the gentleman who he led the mold out were somewhat heated as he was very defensive and would speak over me when I raised any concerns (which was me trying to get more information as I'm not a mold professional). He was very rude when I called to have the mold remediated, as we were in a tight timeline to get it fixed between our closing and move-in date. When he said he couldn't do it due to the holidays, I was disappointed and told him I'd have to go with another company because of our timeline and he actually raised his voice with me on the phone. I got another company out there and they said the mold was very Common and the levels of mold spores detected weren't bad and explained how we could remediate ourselves. This saved me $1800 that I was going to have to pay to Apex.

Description of Work: they inspected for mold. then tested. the test showed mold &moisture in one spot. they recommended remidiation.so image an appointment for remediation. by the time of the remediation appointment, tho moisture had dried . they arrived on time for the appointment and determined there were no leaks to cause moisture or mold. they sprayed the small spot that tested positive for mold. all this took less than 2 hours. I think the $1450.00 charged was excessive for the services performed. | |

Description of Work: I expected more than ONE infrared photo. Those photos were the reason I went with Apex. I knew we had mold, we could see it, I wanted to know about what we could not see. Considering the extent of the mold (which was not much), the quoted price for removal was in my opinion extremely high. But they were very nice. No real problem with them.

Description of Work: They tested the air in our basement and outside for mold. The process was quick, the men were polite and professional and the resulting report was thorough and delivered on time.

Description of Work: Vendor called me asking me who I was and didn't know that he had already scheduled an appointment with me for August 28th between 3 and 5 pm. I then proceeded to ask him about what he'd be doing in my home and he told me that I already purchased the package online and I should know by that. Other companies I called explained their procedures to me and he was curt, fast to get off the phone and actually wasn't listening to what I was asking him. Therefore, having said that, I feel that this vendor was not someone I would like to deal with as this is a serious situation I have going on in my home and need to be informed not cut off.
