Apex came out the same day, called 30 minutes before arriving, and performed all test. The owner answered all my questions, initial inspection was good and did not show any mold issues, so now I am waiting for the lab results.

The service went wonderfully and as I await the results of the inspection, I feel good knowing it's being handled by such a professionalism, reliable company. Please refer above for details but again, I would recommend this company without hesitation to anyone requiring their services.

Most importantly, went just like initial phone conversation described - no pressure and performed additional walk through to avoid unnecessayy test and expense.

We paid Apex more than the going rate, thinking that you get what you pay for. Unfortunately, they did barely any work (essentially just brought in big HEPA filters and left them there for a while), and after some research, we learned that they have lied about their credentials - the accrediting organizations had never heard of them, and forced them to take down their logos. When we began legal proceedings against them for consumer fraud, they settled with us, but we never got back the full amount we spent, the time we wasted, and we had to find another company to do the mold abatement. The new company - which did a solid job - confirmed that Apex hadn't really done anything, there was still plenty of mold around, and that they had taken samples incorrectly, vastly overestimating the amount of mold in the first place. Don't waste your time, your money or gamble your health with this rip-off artist.

They cleaned everything thoroughly, demolition was complete and I was very happy and impressed with their work.

My experience so far has been extremely pleasant. I like that David and Lea is always available to answer my questions. I will post another review after the remediation has been completed.

We used this company because there was an Angie's List deal for mold inspection. The mold inspector was punctual and interested in answering all questions. However I felt the answers could have been more detailed. We were looking for a true expert opinion and a company that would walk us through all of the steps with thorough explanations considering the cost of the initial consultation. Although we ultimately did not use his service, the inspector still followed up with a call to inquire about our satisfaction with his visit. We would have given him a B+ overall if that rating was available.

I purchased a $99 whole house mold inspection a while ago and finally got around to contacting APEX today for an appointment. I left a message and got a call back within the hour from David. I mentioned that when I went on Angies List to get his contact information I noticed that the deal expired last month. He told me I was correct but said he would be perfectly happy to refund my money once I provided my address and email address. I agreed that would be the best solution since I had in fact purchased his inspection service by mistake and had actually meant to purchase a $99 heating inspection in the first place. He said that he normally speaks to clients before he does the inspection to get some background on their mold issues. Since I don't have a known mold issue he said he probably would have recommended against the inspection any way , regardless of the expiration date. In any event he was prompt in getting back to me, quick to offer a reasonable resolution and came across as very professional in our conversation. I hope I never have a mold issue but I'm sure I will contact Apex if I do.

He moved from room to room, with various machines, one of which was an air sampling machine. David tested 6 rooms in about 45 minutes. we had to move furniture which slowed us down. He was helpful in all all phases of the process.

David showed up at noon, on time (scheduled between 11 - 1). He was quick & through when he did the testing. I did not expect there to be the extra charge for the '2nd sample' as I did not realize two air samples meant not being able to do the entire apartment - only one air sample is included in the initial cost (which is documented in the contract so they are not trying to fool you - just that it was not properly explained to me that if I wanted the entire apt. done, which is a one bedroom, that it would cost extra...I thought the 2nd air sample would have to do with doing something extra or above and beyond the apartment in entirety-) - just be prepared to pay for the 2nd air sample if you want them to check mold in more than one room. Overall I am impressed with David's and Leah's responsiveness, courteousness and efficiency. I am waiting to get the results now. Thank you, David and Leah, for your help today. They came and did a survey of the premises looking for areas of mold. performed and air quality test. After receiving the lab reports with the results we scheduled and appointment to perform the remediation. They were prompt, professional and polite. Performed the remediation. Followed up with a visit a month later to check the status and make sure everything was ok.

From the very beginning, he put me at ease, explaining that the mold would not travel and that everything would be taken care of. His estimate was the lowest of the three people who came and hismanner reassured me.

We are still in the process.

I hope to write more when the lab results are in but overall I would recommend Apex again. They were prompt and very professional and after all the losses I've been through this was one of the positive experiences I've had in the past month.

Two representatives came to our rental property in Red Hook and tested for mold in the basement and first floor apartment, using various diagnostic equipment, and also took a sample of the air in both areas, to take back to test in the lab. They documented all their testing with photographs, they were very thorough, and communicative, explaining to me each step of the process as they completed it. Overall they were extremely professional, friendly, and efficient. A very pleasant experience.

David came on time to inspect if there's mold in our house. No problem were found and we are satisfied with his service.

Checked for mold, found none, did not pressure for remediation. Overall very positive experience.

I was extremely pleased with the service. The technician, Nelson Rodriguez, was extremely professional and knowledgeable. He and his assistant were punctual and got into the work very quickly. He explained in clear and thorough terms the nature of the work that was to be performed and the job was done in a very timely and efficient manner. He and his assistant were a pleasure to work with and I will definitely use Advent again. I completely recommend this firm.

Arrived promptly with tools in hand and went room to room inspecting for mold. At end of review let me know that I did not have a mold problem and gave me a recommendation on how to avoid mold in basement as it was my largest concern.

He called and explained everything. I like his professionalism. He said he could but unless you see mold. He very pleasant and compassionate. He was understanding.

I purchased a "Big Deal" coupon for a whole house mold evaluation and then scheduled an appointment. When the inspector arrived he asked me why I schedule the inspection and I explained I'd moved into a new home and could not identify a "moldy" smell and that I was worried about moisture/mold I could not see. Only a foot inside the door, he told me that this is why the company has pulled the Big Deal offer off of Angie's List, because of people like me. The company cannot make money off of people like me. He then looked around the area of the home where the smell is for a few minutes with a moisture instrument, and then spent 1 minute in the basement with the moisture instrument. He then said he didn't smell mold and and that there was no mold in the home. (In fact, a home inspector pointed out mold around the windows in the basement, but the mold inspector did not inspect the basement completely, so he did not see it.) He left a pamphlet for me indicting that the company does extreme clean-up work on some serious mold jobs - and may in fact do this very well. And maybe I do not have a serious mold issue, which would be a relief, and the reason why I scheduled an inspection- but I am writing this evaluation because this experience was awkward, unprofessional and obnoxious.
