+ -1 morethe $100 service call gets them into your home to tell you if they can help you with your units. After they tell you it's $250 per unit to "service" them you say OK and off they go. The next day a call about more Freon needed; $100 extra per unit. $350 per unit by taxes and tip.... $800. They were clean and on time. My units had not been serviced in 10 years so they were long overdue.
Description of Work: remove 2 PTAC units (through the wall units), take them to their shop for cleaning and service, replenished Freon too.

Description of Work: On the hottest day of last summer in New York City (over 100 degrees), my medical practice's air conditioner broke in the early morning. After only helping a few patients, it was just too hot to continue, so we cancelled all patients and I let all employees go home. I called Amersterdam Air Cooling and the owner, Jerry, answered. What could he say, there were a dozen calls just like mine. I explained my situation and an hour later, Jerry himself came to my practice! He had sent out all his team to other places and took care of me himself. Jerry worked for 4-5 hours straight in the hot heat both indoors and outdoors and tried everything to get our AC unit back up. Finally, he had to give up as the motor was dead and it would take a few weeks to fix. I explained that I would have to cancel my patients for all that time and hoped for a better solution. I committed to be there all weekend if it helped and Jerry came to my practice on Saturday, his weekend, and spent another 5-6 hours in that heat replacing our AC motor! He was professional, pleasant, courteous, understanding, and more! I paid him $1400.00 and he saved me much more and the health of my patients. Jerry is a true professional and a selfless man. If he runs his business like the person he is, you know that you will get their very best. I will only use Jerry and Amsterdam Air Cooling in the future and suggest you do too. Jerry, you are the best! Thank you a million times!

+ -1 moreTHE EXPERIENCE WAS BAD. THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS LOUSY. THEIR EMPLOYEES WERE INCOMPETENT OF WHAT THEY HAD TO DO. INSTEAD OF THEM FIXING WHAT WAS WRONG, THEY MADE THE PROBLEM WORSE BY CHANGING A GOOD FAN MOTOR FOR A BAD MOTOR.
Description of Work: THEY SERVICED OUR SLEEVE AIR CONDITIONING.
