+ 0 moreAfter doing extremely little apart from placing his hand in the drum I was asked fior USD 700 for a new drum, I sent the repairman away for a second opinion. Another company visited, the belt had come loose from its holders, a charge of USD 200. I am truly disgusted that repairmen come to Manhattan, see a woman and think it's easy money. I would not recommend this company at all.
Description of Work: I asked for a repairman as my Bosch Axxis washing machine was making a banging noise on spin. He entered my appartment, moved the drum side to side and said I needed a new drum USD 700. He looked at nothing, unscrewed nothing. I said the machine was 5 years old used once a week and highly unlikely to have a worn drum.

+ -1 moreThe were really Great. The were Superfast and before i knew it the dishwasher was fixed. Very professiontheand the dishwasher was fixed in1/2 hour. Best of all, we could pay on the spot by credit card. One word. Awesome

+ -1 moreThe initial visit was excellent. The technician was Max. Max was on time, professional and quick with an answer. Unfortunately, the rest of my experience was AWFUL!!! Terrible, terrible follow-up. Never heard back on the process for ordering parts. Multiple calls on my part. Every time that I called, a different person would answer my call. Return calls were always from cell phones, so I doubt this company has a real operation. It's now March 8th and I still have no idea when the replacement parts for my washer will arrive. Last follow-up was yesterday, still no response. Moving on to a different shop.

+ -1 moreOur washer was not having good water pressure. We called another service company and they were going to charge about $130 just to come take a look at the Whirlpool washer. This company was going to charge $100 to take a look. The repair cost $250 cash. The technician went out to buy a tube and unbolted the copper piping that was bent and done. He left the old copper tubing on the floor. What I like is he came same day, knowledgable, and was able to repair it quickly. What I don't like is the price is really too high for a simple tube replacement, although he did do a diagnostic too, and that he didn't clean up better. However, in the myriad of appliance repairmen, they aren't bad.
Description of Work: Replaced a bent copper tube in dishwasher.

+ -1 moreResponsive on initial phone call, and the person they sent was punctual to the appointment. The diagnosis appears to be accurate as well. However the repair for our Viking stove was for two igniters which cost ~ $40 each (Viking) or as little as ~$12.00 (non-Viking), and he was going to charge me $500!! for the repair. He had one (non-Viking) Ignitor with him on his truck, and would have had to go out to get another. So for a ~$24 expense he was going to charge $500. Fortunately we looked up the cost of the part and said 'thanks but no thanks.' The $100 we spent for the 'diagnosis' was enough to spend on these guys. We ordered the correct Viking parts on the internet for ~80.00 and my husband installed them himself. Most telling, when I called All Appliance repair to complain about the ridiculous mark-up and they defended the cost. Rip-off extraordinaire.

+ -1 moreQuickly diagnosed problem in call two days earlier, offered to get me a new dishwasher but told me my old one was of better structural quality than new ones, installed th emotor and pump that had worn out in two hours and left leabing place very clean.

+ -1 moreLeo is very smart, knowledgeable, friendly, and extremely neat. I think he must have been a physicist in a former life, he knew that much about the electronics of ovens. The work was done professionally, with a great deal of care given to not scratching my floor or leaving any dirt or mess. He took his sneakers off when he came in. The price was very fair, for repairs in Manhattan, given the amount of time, skill, and effort involved. I will happily use Leo and his company for any repair in the future.
Description of Work: The oven in my Thermador pro range stopped working. It turns out it's a fairly common problem. When the power goes off and on, sometimes the "PC board" gets fried. So, I knew what the problem was and how it needed to get fixed. The part is expensive, about $400 from a distributor. I called All Appliance. The phone was picked up immediately, and we made an appointment for an estimate the next day. He explained that the estimate would be $100, credited to any repair.The next day, the repair man, Leo, arrived early. He was waiting for me when I got home. He proceeded to methodically diagnose the problem, eliminating every possibility, and arrived at the same conclusion, that the PC board was fried. Leo gave me an estimate of $695 for the job, exactly matching the price I had found for the part, and $300 for labor. The first day took over an hour of hard work. Leo said the part would be delivered in a few days. A few days later he called me and said the part was in, and he was ready to install it. The next day, Leo was at my door, early again. He showed me the new computer board, explained the recent improvements over the old one, and got to work, again explaining everything he was doing and answering all my questions. Thermador didn't make it easy for him. There was a lot of dis-assembly and reassembly involved. An hour and a half later, my oven worked again.
