PC Richards

Purchased a large Friedrich AC window unit without a hitch from P.C. Richards by telephone. Was looking for a transom installation of unit, which is the top half of the window. I usually use a specialist because retailers only advertize standard window (lower half) installations. Salesman said he never heard of transom installations, but found the option on their computer system and set it up. Unit was delivered on time, but communication breakdown occurred between store and installer, who expected to install in lower half and didn't have the parts for transom installation. Followed up with salesman and was assured problem would be rectified. We rescheduled for a few days later and the unit was installed appropriately without a hitch. I wasn't too upset as most retailers don't do transom installations as they are more difficult (and more expensive) to do. So this was a special request of sorts. I prefer the transom mounts because you can still open and close the window and can leave the unit in all year. The Friedrich AC unit itself is fine, though I've noticed some deterioration in Friedrich quality over the years as I've replaced other units. Cooling is fine, though a noticeable clicking occur, which appears related to the thermostat. Louvers also rattle a bit when the compressor is running. Rattle disappears when plastic cover is removed.

Salesman great and informative. Prices good. Delivery when promised.

Went to showroom looking for a Viking range, was shown an array of options. Asked for the soonest delivery possible, got it 3 days later. Salesperson (Lucy Marina) was very accommodating and helpful. Delivery was on time and the truckers were very genial, even after having to physically lift this monster of a range over my kitchen counter! The installer was a bit clueless, and since he was sent by PC Richard, I guess the comment belongs here. It appeared that the range wasn't working, but he gave me all sorts of excuses (which were totally bizarre - and wrong) until he finally acknowledged that it could be the unit itself. Long story short - it wasn't the unit, it was a negative polarity electrical issue and when the repair service, Elkay, came the following day, the issue was resolved and I LOVE my range. PC Richards store staff, including a self-described "senior guy", Mr. Charles were exceptionally helpful with this transaction, my perceived problem, and its resolution.

I was very happy with the service they gave me. The men were very professional and responsive to my questions. I am thinking of purchasing an oven from them as well. I highly recommend their services and will continue to use them.

THEY WERE A VERY GOOD COMPANY. THEY WERE NOT THE BEST, BUT THEY WERE BETTER THAN SOME OF THE OTHER COMPANIES I TALKED TO. WHEN WE BOUGHT THE UNIT, THEY ANSWERED ALL OF OUR QUESTIONS.

I AM VERY ILL AND I COULDN'T BRING THE VCR TO THEM. SO THEY MADE A SPECIAL TRIP TO MY HOME TO PICK IT UP AND DELIVER IT. THEY DID A GREAT JOB AND I AM VERY HAPPY WITH WHAT THEY DID FOR ME. THEY ARE VERY KIND PEOPLE.

THIS IS A FINE COMPANY TO WORK WITH. THEY FIXED EVERYTHING VERY WELL. THE ONLY THING I DIDN'T LIKE IS THAT THEY WERE THREE HOURS LATE FOR MY APPOINTMENT.

WE USE THEM ON A CONSISTENT BASIS. THEY ARE ALWAYS HERE WHEN THEY SAY THAT THEY WILL BE. THEY GET THE JOB DONE THE FIRST TIME AROUND. THEY ARE VERY POLITE.
