Horrible. Steven Infante was hired as a consultant(5k fee was paid for this service when the contract was signed) for the extension I was having built, a 2 to 3 month job per the contract. Per his contract he was responsible finding & choosing various skilled tradesman for the construction process and would ensure trades meet or exceed code requirements for the work, in this contract it also stated 2 20 yard dumpers would be brought in(never was a dumpster brought in & all the building debris was left in my yard & in the extension. phase 1 was for excavating & foundation of the extension & grading of the yard(consultant paid 10k for this phase) these 2 items were sub-contracted out. prior to the contractors doing work, I text Mr Infante and asked if he had the insurance certs for these sub-contractors & was told yes. After the excavation & foundation was poured, Mr. Infante was to put a door from my existing garage into the new extension. I came home to find 1/2 of the concrete wall of my garage cut & left wide open, where anyone could have entered my garage & home. I contacted Mr. Infante regarding this issue along, also being that it was extremely cold when the wall was opened he left the pipes in my garage exposed & could have frozen, and I voiced my concern about rodents entering my home through the open wall. Mr Infante also never put any type of plastic tarps up to cut down on the concrete dust. My home upstairs was completely covered in in concrete dust which took 3 days to clean. He winded up coming back to cover the hole. While I was on the phone with Mr. Infante I wanted to know why he did the work, he was the consultant for the job, no reply. phase 2(paid 10k)this covered the framing, roofing, siding, stairs, the balance of the outside work. The material was delivered and sat in my driveway for a few weeks uncovered from the elements before anyone showed up to start the framing, the framing took approx. 3 weeks to be completed,Mr. Infante was doing most of the framing himself along with 2 other people, again I asked Mr. Infante if he has the insurance certs for all the workers he hired to do the framing, siding & roof & was told yes(I have all these text messages) I was starting to wonder why Mr. Infante was doing all the work when he was the consultant on the job, not a contractor. At this point Mr. Infante was going to order the siding & roofing materials, but being that it was going to take a few weeks to get the product he wanted the 3rd installment for phase 3(another 10K) I refused to give him that payment being that he hadn't finished the work that he was already paid for. While this phase was being done one evening we had heaving rain, I was in my garage & saw water dripping from one of the bathroom pipes(so I thought), when I looked closer I realized the water was leaking through the floor about my garage & traced it back to where Mr Infante has ripped of my existing siding next to the extension & water was going through my inside bathroom wall going into the garage. I contacted Mr. Infante, he came back & sealed up where the water was coming in. I informed him my concerns about mold being in the wall because I was highly allergic to mold and sent me a text message stating he would change the sheeting outside the bathroom wall where the water went through the wall, he would also change the insulation and would spray it with a anti mold prior to siding up the house. about 5 weeks later the siding finally came in & Mr. Infante started siding the house, he was doing the work again along with another worker. I contacted Mr. Infante requesting copies of his, & all the workers insurance certs, was told no problem. A few days later, I requested the insurance info again & then again a day or 2 after that & still received nothing. I noticed Mr. Infante sided up over the bathroom wall the he was going to fix & replace everything, questioning why this was done without anything being replaced. He told me he opened the wall & all was fine(the wall was never opened)I confronted Mr Infante & taped the conversation regarding the wall being covered up & also where were the insurance certs & was told he was still working on getting them. The next morning I contacted Mr. Infante telling him he was not allowed to be on my property until I had the certs(while looking at your site, it doesn't look like Mr Infante is even licensed, to be doing any of this work. At that point he told me wanted to stop by & get some of the tools that were at my house that he no longer needed at my house. At that point I knew he was going to take all the tools, keep the money he was paid & not finish what he was paid for. I refused to let him onto my property. 2 days later I come home to a state trooper threatening me & that I was being arrested for not giving back his tools. I explained he stole my money & didn't finish a portion of the job that he was paid for(siding was not finished along with the stairs, the final grading)I finally had to let him in to get his tools. So now I'm faced with, paying someone else to fix what he didn't finish, pay to have that wall opened & replace everything that was damaged by the water pay extra to bring in a dumpster to clean up the mess that was left & having to take him to court. Steve Infante is nothing but a liar & dishonest, and a thief.
