Randy was polite, punctual, and informative. He did a thorough check of all areas and systems and even returned to check the central air when it was warm enough (too cold the day of the inspection). He made sure we went into each area with him and invited all our questions, and believe me I have many. He provided us with additional professional recommendations. When setteling up, i forgot about the Angie's List coupon, and he reminded me. Imagine that, he could have got away with an extra couple of bucks but didn't. Without hesitation, I would use and recommend Randy again.

A potential buyer for our home hired Advantage, and Randy came out to do the inspection. We are on a well with a septic. At the start of the inspection he opened EVERY SPIGOT IN THE HOUSE, and started the dishwasher and washing machine for good measure. After running them for the entire inspection (over an hour), and then leaving, we discovered that our well was dry. After several hours, it recharged, and, fortunately, our pump was not damaged. Our realtor contacted several other inspectors and confirmed that you do not abuse a well the way he abused ours -- ever. The guy who drilled the well can document that it has plenty of water to run at 10 gal/min -- what you would expect from a well. The potential buyer knew that previous owners had "had problems with the well". In fact, it was the equipment they didn't maintain, not the well itself, and since we repaired the equipment we have had no problem drawing from the well in a normal way (including showering while doing dishes, etc.). Of course, after this "inspection" the potential buyer came in with a ridiculous offer for the house "because there are problems with the well". Yeah, if your inspector abuses it, there are problems. But, not if you treat it properly. My husband has now forbidden Randy from coming onto our property, so any other potential buyer will not be able to use Advantage Home Inspections.

Having the home inspection performed by the individual who assisted us was a wonderful and easy going experience. He was extremely professional but easy going and willing to answer quesions. He was clear in explaining things that we were not clear on or had no idea about and he was on time each time. This is the second time we have used the services of Advantage Home Inspection and are very pleased to say that we do not have any negative thoughts and would definitely use them again and recommend them.
