I started my business in Westchester in 1999 and since then have had the pleasure of working on apartments, houses, and businesses in Manhattan, the Hamptons, Westchester, Fairfield County, the Connecticut coast, as well as Washington DC and London, England. With a Master’s Degree in Architecture and a specialization in architectural preservation I have a strong background in spatial planning and a deep knowledge of ways to preserve the integrity of a home, no matter what age it is. Years of travel and collecting plus a longtime interest in fabric and color have honed my eye and given me a firm command for designing curtains and upholstered goods, finding unusual sources, and using color and pattern. Working with clients is a joy, and making their homes comfortable and reflections of who they are is a huge inspiration. Reworking space with clients’ own furniture and memorabilia, using wallpaper and paint to transform and creating new arrangements of furniture and belongings can help highlight and hang on to the things you love, but also see more clearly what maybe needed. I can find anything and love to search, whether it’s at high end sources, or via eBay or Ikea. And I work with exceptional contractors who are reliable and meticulous.

Having never owned a Spanish style house, I was at a total loss on how to decorate. I didn't have a lot of money and wanted to use much of the antique furniture I already owned. Victoria's sense of space, color and style transformed every room, while miraculously keeping us on budget. My house was not only comfortable and beautiful, it felt like mine, except, thanks to Victoria's brilliant sense of style, way better. Now I never have to turn to my husband in the middle of a movie and whisper, "What do you think of that wallpaper?" I have Victoria and I never take a decorating step without her.
Description of Work: Victoria completely decorated my turn of the century Mediterranean house over a period of four years. This included wallpaper, paint, furnishings, kitchen re-haul, and outdoor planting. All on a shoe string. I have recently hired Victoria again--this time to decorate a pre-war apartment in Manhattan. I had used Victoria before on an old Colonial house, as well as a post and beam house on a lake. She had been brilliant on both.
