I had my bathroom partially remodeled by Sears Home Pro in December 2017. So far it has given me nothing but grief and they are impossible to reach! I had my shower/tub combi changed into a walk-in shower, but the chrome top part of the sliding door came scratched. They promised to replace or fix it, then went silent. Follow this by mold in the caulking at the shower basin bottom (and NOT I can assure you for lack of cleaning, because I'm that crazy person who wipes down the shower after every use). It is so deep in there I haven't been able to remove it. The caulking around the drain is lose and also has mold. And the caulking where the shower surround meets the ceiling is already fully cracked. This is after 7 MONTHS of use, though the mold problem occurred within 3-4 months. So far I have tried to reach them for 3 months; zero response. DON'T USE THEM!

Guess I said it all in the first paragraph. It was horrible service - was overcharged and treated in a very poor manner. No call backs to explain, no calls to make sure they finally fixed the problem (which they didn't completely).
Description of Work: I'm sure this will never get any attention, but we had a repairman come to "diagnose" the problem with the brand new ice maker in our Kenmore Fridge. It was not making ice. The repairman could not find a problem and assured us if it didn't start to work soon, to call back - He definitely told us not to worry there would not be an additional diagnosis charge. After he left, not only could we not get ice, but then the water stopped working. A call back (we were assured by someone on the phone that we would not be charged another diagnosis charge of 119.00 plus tax. Well he came back a week later, finally got the water working and we started getting ice (at a very slow pace). We didn't care as long as it was semi-working. When he left after 1'1/2 hours, we were charged for his time and another $119.00 plus tax for him to diagnose the same problem. When we contacted Sears they pretty much told us "too bad". That is their policy. When I got a follow up from them asking how things went, I tried to give them a 1 star rating and explain what happened. It kept sending me error messages. Guess they don't want the general public to know about their poor policies. Will never call them again and hope to start replacing appliances as they wear out with anything but Kenmore. Have been with Sears for years and was treated so poorly, I don't ever want to deal with them again.

It took less than a half hour to diagnose and repair problem. Tech cleaned up after himself as well. Did not try to sell me additional services which is rare and important to me.
Description of Work: 15 year old fridge was leaking water.

I've had no problem having them come out and fixing things. They're very prompt, and you get to speak to a real person who knows what they're talking about.
Description of Work: They're replacing an oven in our kitchen.

Description of Work: Very unhappy with Sears. They fixed my washing machine. The bill was 300 dollars and that was with a 20% coupon. It took 11 days for them to come back after the first visit and the part was ordered. The reason was because the first technician had a full schedule. That first tech never came back and they sent another tech. The part arrived in a few days. The machine was fixed in less than 1/2 hour. $300??? 11 days ???? I will never use them again.

Description of Work: Complete kitchen renovation. Included demolition and gutting of original kitchen, installation of new cabinets, countertop, floor, plumbing, etc. All work was done well & very professionally. Cabinets are of good quality for the price, as is the countertop. Of course, job took a little longer than expected/hoped for - as these types of jobs always do - but overall length of time kitchen was completely unusable was not too bad. | |And let me add one more note. I experienced a very serious family emergency literally just as this job began. This diverted my attention from the work, and caused major havoc with my schedule and availability. I give a lot of credit to the job coordinator with Sears who could not have been more understanding and helpful during this time. She kept the work moving as best as possible when I could not be available, and was constantly willing to work with my ever changing schedule. For that reason alone I would highly recommend Sears. Problems are unavoidable with this type of project, it's the ability of the people you're working with to address, & resolve these issues that is most important. Sears excelled in this area in my opinion.

Our snow blower was a pretty good one but the starter was not working and it had a flat tire. We debated, get it fixed our buy a new one. Well all the lower cost new ones the motors come from China. We knew ours was Canadian and kicked a*** in the winter. So we called Sears. The guy came out and boy did he know his stuff. Just terrific, professional guy. Had to order parts which he did, then came back, fixed the unit and we it ran like a charm during all of last winter's many storms! BTW did not matter that we had not bought this from Sears. They fix anything right at your house. Highly recommend.

.One of the worst experiences of my life. Equipment promised was not what was installed. Sears uses sub contractor and then tells me to speak to them. I signed the contract with Sears based on I thought a good name. They have done everything possible not to give me what was ordered. If not resolved soon am considering litigation.
