MERRY MAIDS

My experience with Merry Maids was awful. I wanted them to come every other week and had a good experience with a different Merry Maids. They did not come when they were scheduled and I called and called to get them to call me back. I left a message that I would not be here and asked them to let the crew know not to come to my home. A couple of hours later three or four people showed up and I explained that they couldn't come in because I would be leaving. I was billed for the whole thing and had to go through American Express before I got a refund.

We weren't sure if we'd like this company or not because they are larger, but I've got to tell you that they did an awesome job for us. The condo unit they cleaned for us looked like it was a good ten years younger than it actually is. We were really impressed with them. They sent out a team of people to do the work who were diligent workers and easy to communicate with so we'd be more than happy to put in a good word for them.

Very poor service. They said that they could agree to matching what I paid another service for the same job. $125.00. Other services sent 4 people. They sent 3 the first time and brought a contact for 10 cleanings (or we pay the remainder) but for $200 the first time. First cleaning was acceptable except that they missed part of the kitchen. Subsequent cleanings were done by 2 people and whole rooms seemed untouched. On the 6th cleaning, the workers said that the manager came and told them that they were instructed to only clean the bathrooms and living room-for the same $125. I renegotiated cleaning the entire house, now for $150, but something was always undone, like sweeping any of the floors, the kitchen, etc. A few things went missing as well. Also, they agreed to come first thing in the a.m. On several occasions, they called in the afternoon to say they'd come in the next hour-only to come 4 hours later. After fulfilling our "contract" for 10, I fired them.

They didn't clean under the sink, only cleaned half of the curtain rods, and my floor was just as soiled as it was before they came. I feel like I paid them for absolutely nothing.
