Additionally, Steve patiently answered all my questions and made sure that I was fully satisfied with the job by giving recommendations before and throughout and letting me have a look during the installation. On top of that the pricing was more than fair. I would hire him again anytime - which I recently did to install recessed lighting in our living room. Again, we had the same very positive experience.
Description of Work: I first hired Steve from Connect Electric to install some new outlets in my garage. For a second project, recessed lighting in the living room was installed.

+ -1 moreSteven from ConnectElectric was recommended highly to us, and so we hired him to do an electricity job at our house. He exceeded our high expectations and we were impressed by the high quality of the outcome. I myself am an avid DIYer and do things neatly and properly, and I am very particular about that. As such I find it extremely difficult to find contractors that work to my standards. Steven is such a rare find; he is very knowledgeable, professional and courteous, and he has that virtue that drives him to not just get a job done but to get it done right. When it comes to electricity, we definitely would never hire somebody else. Without any reservations and with full confidence, we recommend Steven and his company ConnectElectric.
Description of Work: Steven installed a new 20amp circuit, running a wire through a wall and ceiling from a breaker box to our garage. He communicated excellently to make sure that all new outlets are placed properly and the new lines would match the overall looks of the garage. He also consulted and recommended details to make sure that we would get the most out of the work done. Overall, two outlets were added for pendant lights and one 20amp outlet for high-powered electric tools plus wiring and conduits.

We were not disappointed and we have used Steve several times now, including for a complicated renovation project. We always feel we are in good hands and that we could trust him 100%. He is friendly and always looks for our best interest unlike some contractors who are just interested in maximizing their profit. Would recommend using him without reservation!
Description of Work: Steve installed 6 recessed lights in a downstairs bedroom. He also replaced a defective 3 way switch in the bathroom and replaced some outlets.

+ 0 moreSteve Villani did an excellent job. Was responsive from the beginning, He came and gave a clear estimate, and was able to provide a few different options for the job. His price was reasonable -- I got a number of estimates which varied widely, and my sense is that after Sandy, prices for generator hook-ups have become unreasonably high. He spent a lot of time snaking a wire to locate an amp meter box in a more convenient location, and spent time with me labeling my house circuits so we could label which to use during a blackout. He gave a flat rate and stuck to it. Totally professional and thorough; he followed up right away with some questions I had after the job; emailed me type written on/ off instructions. I would definitely call him again for another job. A real find.
Description of Work: Installed whole house manual transfer switch for portable gasoline powered generator.

Description of Work: i bought a Generator after Hurricane Sandy and I needed a transfer switch installed.i got a recomendation form a friend in White Plains for Steve Villani at Connect Electric who had upgraded the circuit breaker panel at his home and was very satisfied with his installation and price was reasonable and was licensed in Westchester. i connect Steve and he responded quickly and guide be in selecting the best equipt to run most of the circuits (10/appox.60amps )in my house off the the 7000 cont.watt generator I had bought. He was able to do the work on the weekend and i did not have to take off and power was only shut down shortly and work was completed that day He located the outside outlet at a convenient location more than 10 ft from the transfer box which required placing an extra terminal box in order to locate the outlet box where I wanted it.This was his suggestion at no extra cost beyond his original estimate. He then tested the whole system to see all circuits he wired in were working correctly and instructed me on operating the whole system on the portable generator . He made sure the transfer box was labeled for all the circuits that they seerviced. He is an experienced professional and a pleasure to do buisness with.
