A Perfect Goldman Electric

It was okay. I don't remember the price. I wasn't concerned about it. I thought they were okay. Responsiveness was fine. Punctuality was okay too.

Extremely satisfied with the professional quality of the work and pleasant folks who provided the estimate and did the work (Rob and Rob). I initially hesitated to use A Perfect Goldman because I know they are more expensive than others around but not anymore. The other 2 electricians from whom I obtained estimates insisted that I needed an entirely new (higher amperage) circuit breaker panel which is expensive (one quoted me $5700 and the other $3000 for all of the work described above (including the new higher amperage panel. A Perfect Goldman looked at the circuit breaker panel and explained I had plenty of excess power left and what I really needed was just a new sub-panel extension where additional circuits could be added (i.e. much less expensive and time consuming- no Con Ed involvement necessary). He was also clever in finding ways to run the wires unobtrusively (for example, he noticed a pipe in the garage that had one wire running through it so he used the existing wire to fish through the new wires coming off the additional circuits they added). They were very clean and I was even able to work at my desk while they worked in my office drilling through the exterior wall to run the new wire and install the new outlet. Couldn't be more pleased.

Professional, punctual , courteous and clean. They also communicated very clearly on the issues in plain English. They could not have been nicer and fixed the problems in a timely manner. I would highly recommend, and would definitely use their services again.

They seem to be pretty responsive. They do nice work. If we use someone more than once they got to be good. They are very professional. For example, Sandy the hurricane came through here on a Monday. I called them on Friday about 4:25 and said I got one of those crank generators that you run the cords to. You can't have the cords running through the window when you have a hurricane coming through. So, I said, can you do this for me Monday morning? They said no problem, we can do whatever you want the only thing is we don't have the parts. I was actually able to get these things. They showed up at 8:30 Monday morning. They had me up and running before the hurricane came. A couple of weeks ago I bought a dryer and I had them come out and switch it from being a hard wire to a plug and a receptacle. They came over right away, they did it very quickly, they did it very cleanly. They cleaned up everything. That's how they always do their work.

They were great. They were highly regarded. I would absolutely use them in the future.

The technician was great. He was professional, understood exactly what I needed...ordered a few odd light bulbs to return and replace soon after, and helped replace the outside light bulbs that were impossible for me to reach.

From my very first call, I had a great expiereince with A Perfect Goldman. I spoke to Jay, who was responsive and patient with my questions. After visiting my house, he provided me with a fair estimate. We spoke numerous times about what type of generator and transfer switch to purchase and discussed the benefits of a transfer switch vs an interlock. He was patient and thorough. Two people came to install the generator and transfer switch. They also installed outdoor lighting, a timer for other lights and did some other interior work. They work was just what we wanted and they provided a very fair price (as compared to numerous other estimates). They tested the work to make sure there were no issues. I will not hesitate to call them for any electrical work in the future.

When I called and asked for an estimate, the man I spoke to asked for details, then said it didn't sound as though I had enough work to send an estimator. But he then went through the work item by item, explained how they calculated their costs and how he would assign the work. That enabled me to figure out roughly what the job would cost, enough to know I could have them come this month. I had been assigned a crew of one on Thursday; Tuesday afternoon, they called, asked if a crew of two who had finished a job early could come by. They charged me only for one man, as agreed. Both electricians explained in detail what they planned to do and did. Nice job, very polite and informative.
