Description of Work: i thought i needed an architect for adding a front porch to my home. I wanted a ballpark quote for the plans and it was over $1,000. - i decided to pursue the ordinances for my town for such a project and was told I would not need architectural plans.

+ 5 moreJoseph of Renaissance designed and oversaw the remodeling of the bathroom in my house. The bathroom was a basic 1950’s style bathroom. My husband and I had just the most basic idea of what we wanted in a new bathroom. Joseph was able to tease out what we liked or did not like in other bathrooms and come up with a concept of New England country style with wainscoting. The room was stripped down to the studs and redone. He was able to bring our bathroom up to date with a beautiful tiled shower, modern lighting, streamlined storage and many artistic touches that transformed my bathroom from “basic vanilla” to a true conversation piece. I would and DO recommend Joseph’s work in all phases of construction from design right through to construction.

+ 13 moreWell now they are finishing my home in Kingston and its coming along like a masterpiece! I mean WOW! I don't think there is anything like it anywhere in the world and I mean that. They said they would put it up on their website when its finished. (about 6 weeks) so its going great, and as for details there are way to many, but they're all good As for the Don'ts - Just tell them what you THINK you want, then let them design it and let them go!!! let them design it for you, they don't charge you for it, they are truly professionals with very tasteful visions, they're artisans. go to their store, see for yourself and have an amazing coffee that's free too :}
Description of Work: This is a renovation and a demo of old kitchen and bathroom down to the foundation. newly structured foundation was poured and both rooms were enlarged - Bath 16' by 9' being finished as I write this. Kitchen size to 15' by 15' . I live in New York City and own 2 homes in Upstate NY , New Paltz and Kingston and I first used " The Renaissance of New Paltz" in 2013 to build a safe walk out from my side door as the home was built in 1840 and the walk out was not safe for me to enter or exit from. They designed a small deck area incorporating the entrance needed, it was very different and kept with the look of the 1840 home and they even stained it to look like it was on the home from day one, but very sturdy and safe, even the towns building inspector liked it. I reviewed a few local contractors for the job and one of them was The Renaissance of New Paltz. I immediately liked them and just hoped that they would give me a good price and they did, so that was that, now they do everything for my needs and its been 3 1/2years with absolutely no regrets. They are like family to me now. work they have done in my two homes 2 bathrooms A deck A natural stone walk way - front and back of home A refurbishing of my Kitchen- tile work - custom made cabinets to match the originals and stained to match Homes Mantel place My homes rear deck My staircase - built new , now its easier to walk up - all their stairs are very easy to walk as they actually measured my legs and came up with a stair height for all my steps and they now are so simple to walk up with no pain to my legs or hips (they are very clever) Designed a Master bedroom stunning! A beautiful wooden property fence Refreshed a barn to look amazing Designed 2 metal roof systems Designed and built a Sunroom - which also converts to a Screen room They also were the interior designers for my 1870 home in Kingston
