Description of Work: The technician was prompt and exceedingly polite. He gave me good advice about my aging central air conditioner and tuned it up. He made a point of saying he liked to educate his customers about their system and I really appreciated that. I did learn something! Lovely young man. I trusted the service and felt it was worth the money.

Description of Work: Installation of a 4 zone ductless split heat pump (A/C and Heat). The installation crew did a great job in terms of installation, cleanliness and flexibility with weather (finished the job while snowing). Only used the heat as a backup from our boiler so far, but really pleased with the whole process.

Description of Work: I recently had my unit serviced by TF O'BRIEN in 2015 for a winter tune up on 10/29/2015. I even went with a package to get a summer tune up as well for a reduced rate. The tech was ok and did a very basic job. He was not Carrier certified and did not know my unit at all. I payed a premium fee for service from a generic HVAC tech. | |My unit started making noise on Monday 2/15/2016 and I needed someone to come check it out. I called and left a message being told someone would get back to me shortly. I then tried calling three hours later. The rep said someone would get back to me shortly and not to worry. It is over a week later and no one ever called me back or followed up with me. | |Avoid this company. Ignore the reviews and the professional website. They are terrible. Try calling during after hours and see if someone will even talk to you. You wont find anyone.

Description of Work: We needed a new heating system in our home. While most qualified services could perform the change needed, it was the professionalism, cleanliness, attention and respect for my home that impressed me. This was a two day project. Mr. O'Brien visited my home during the initial hours; a nice reassurance. As we were not able to use the system overnight, portable heating units were provided offering some comfort for the overnight period. A very very minor setback was experienced the day after the unit was installed, they were called and arrived immediately to provide the necessary adjustment. I could not be more happy with my overall experience working with TF O'Brien. This expense at this time of year was really not the holiday "cheer" I was expecting. However, the seamlessness of their operation may it a bit easier.

Description of Work: I booked an appointment between 8:30 AM and noon. It was a no show and not even a courtesy phone call. Very disappointed!

Description of Work: Freon leak in air attic air handler. Before trying to replace coil, tech, Roy suggested replacing freon and returning to apply a product called superseal. We agreed to try this solution first. We were called by service dept. within a day to schedule next appointment in 10 days. Hope it works. Experience so far is what I expected after reading positive customer comments on Angie's list.

Description of Work: I call them for a service call because my HVAC unit was not working. I advised them where it was located. Once they got there he did not have a ladder with him, to look at the unit. It was on my back roof, which is one floor up. I lent him mine and he told me there was a $45 ladder fee to take a look at the unit. I never heard of that. So I complained to the office and advised them and they said they cannot do nothing about it. The service call was around $150, which I have no problem with but to charge a ladder fee on top of it and he had no ladder is a ripoff. I will never recommend this company to anyone

Was extremely neat and wore booties while in the house, which made my wife extremely happy. Recommended some additional work, but no hard sell. I would definitely recommend this company for heating and AC work,
