No heat in house, Called plumber who installed the boiler. He said that the problem was the chimney. Asked for a referral, but he didn't have one for me. Went on line & researched local chimney companies. Called 2 for estimate & went with Dieter . They told me what the problem was & what needed to be done & cost. I wasn't expecting such a large bill, but I was in no position to put it off. They did the work in a couple of days. They were on time & quick but they didn't do such a great job on cleaning up. Also the cap on the chimney was crooked & I had to put it out to them so that it could be corrected. All in all, I thought they were good & I hope to never have to use them. Would recommend to others.

Excellent. We have been using Dieters Hagen for approximately 10 years. Mike Valentine does excellent work. He is thorough and reliable. He will answer all your questions and will not try to sell you anything that you do not need. Over the years, besides the annual chimney cleaning, he has done other work for us - re-pointing bricks, installing a new damper, installing a chimney liner to name a few. I would highly recommend him.

They recommended another contractor however which gave a heavy sell for a very expensive chimney liner job. I would recommend Dieter's Hagen however, I would suggest that he not recommend the other vendor.

I have used Dieters Hagen in the past for chimney cleanings and some chimney repair work. Based on my previous experiences, I decided to use them for some bigger home improvement projects.Last summer (2011) it was time to replace my existing roof. I already had three layers so it needed to be ripped. In addition to the roof, we decided to update the siding from aluminum to vinyl. Some important things from my experience:They started on time. (both the actual start date and daily). They didn't bounce from my job to other jobs. The showed up every day until it was completed.They completed everything on schedule. We needed additional repairs once the job started, but excluding that, the final cost was right in line with the estimate. My overall experience was excellent and would highly recommend Dieters Hagen to anyone.

I called Dieters Hagen to get an estimate for my roof and siding. Mike(Valentine), the owner, came to my home and introduced himself. He gave me a written estimate, and a contract with a fair price. The job was done on time, perfectly, and thoroughly cleaned up after. He came on time, put up scaffolding, and worked steadily on the job weather permitting. The roof was done perfectly, the siding, the same. When he removed the old roof, some underlying, old damage was found. This was removed and replaced at no additional charge. When the job was done, all the rubbish was removed, and the area was completely swept up. (didn't expect that!) My wife and I were very satisfied with Mike @ Dieters Hagen, and the exceptional work he did. What a great guy! I would use him again without a doubt!

I have been using this company for chimney cleaning and repairs for many years and have been quite satisfied with the service provided. The owner is professional, knowledgeable and punctual. I recently recommended them to a friend who was very satisfied with their service. Their charges seem reasonable.
