Michael White Painting & Coatings

Mr. White did work for us in June and July 2018. The Good - Mr. White did a very nice job at washing the home with a power washer. The Bad - Mr. White repeatedly postponed the start date of the work and, more importantly, he repeatedly failed to answer phone calls or respond to phone messages (unless they related to his bill being paid). He put the wrong color and the wrong type of stain on our deck and, when this was pointed out to him, he first insisted that we were wrong. Once he realized we were right he never apologized for the error; instead, he blamed us for not letting him know sooner. He assumed no responsibility for anything that went wrong in the job. It is now eight months after the deck was stained, and already the work has deteriorated and the deck is in need of restaining (see photos). A thorough waste of our time, money, and the stress of dealing with such an unreliable, difficult service provider.

Did all the above but having problem with garage & porch floors. #1 it is slippery especially when wet on cold. # 2 The paint is coming off in spots in the garage. Mike gave me a 2yr warranty. I notice the slippery condition this past winter. I almost fell & also our paper person almost fell. This spring I started to clean the garage & noticed the flaking of paint. I called Mike left a message & about 2-3 days later he stopped by to see what the problem was. Said he would get in touch with S-W paint & have them look at it. They came a few days later & took samples of paint & said would be back in a day or 2. Did not hear so emailed Mike & his return email said he has not heard from S-W. It's been about 3wks. I think it time to do something.

He is the jack of all trades, that's why we have had him do a bunch of projects. We think that Michael is great, and we would recommend him to everyone. The thing that we particularly liked is that after he finished the work, he did what he said he was going to do, and came back and checked up with us to see how the work had held up, which we felt was really nice. We are happy to give him a recommendation. The price was very competitive. The most important part was that he showed up, we had a hard time getting contractors to even come out when they said they would. He is a very professional, nice person. We are thinking about using him next year to do some asphalt work and to replace our driveway.
