r Will Henel was referred to us by family; he had performed work for them in the past at their house in Rockland County. Will arrived on time for our appointment on October 22, 2014. We had discussed the general scope of work (see and quot;What did the provider do?and quot; section above) over the phone before his arrival, then delved into the details during his approximate hour-long visit. Overall, Will seemed to have a good deal of electrical acumen. He suggested changes that fit into our holistic view of the results of said electrical work: safety wiring (we have a young son), installation of lighting for our backyard to illuminate a rather large area, and improving the energy efficiency of a house that suffers from large Oand R electrical bills each month. He diagnosed small mistakes in previous contractors' electrical work and provided recommendations. He never discussed prices of such changes, but we felt that omitting that particular topic was apropos to the visit, as we only addressed overall vision and not, per se, how much effort would be required to fix and quot;thisand quot; or and quot;thatand quot; particular electrical item. My biggest concern with employing Henel Contracting stems from his significant delay in returning the estimate for said work. He informed me that he would get an estimate to me within a few days after the visit; he did not. After two weeks passed, I sought the consult and availability of other electricians. He finally contacted me within three weeks stating, in summary, that albeit I had a personal priority to get the safety wiring and backyard lighting completed, he could not rush the job to ensure these priority items (paraphrasing) fit into the electrical master plan we discussed. I did appreciate his apology for the late reply, but completely disagree that the 1) safety wiring and 2) backyard lighting cannot philosophically or empirically be separated from the and quot;energy efficiencyand quot; or moving of junction boxes parts of the effort. This was quite a disappointment after hearing his company's recommendation from others: there was no apparent middle ground in our attempt to just get lighting and safety addressed in the short term. It was also a disappointment that he also stated his availability to take on this work would not be until mid-December as he had committed to two standby generator projects in the meantime; this would have been nice to hear this earlier at least as a topic of scheduling our potential work together. I generally think others can benefit from the electrical services of Henel Contracting. However, take caveat in my experience with the company in obtaining an estimate and subsequent communications.

lI have not had to do any serious electrical work since initial installation. This speaks highly about the service provided. I know several people who have used thier service recently and were very pleased. The owner and one of his employees did all the work they were prompt professional and very neat.

I have used Henel for more than 10 years. Will Buechli ALWAYS returns calls, shows up when he says he will and the clean up after the job is perfect! I'm going to keep using him and have recommended him to others.

THEY'RE GOOD. THEY DID WHAT WE WANTED THEM TO DO. THEY DID A VERY GOOD QUALITY OF WORK. THEIR RESPONSIVENESS WAS PRETTY GOOD. IT WAS BETTER than OTHER COMPANIES.
