Things are great when you're in contract. Post-contract customer service is utterly disappointing. My husband and I decided to go with NDA after speaking with multiple contractors. NDA was the most expensive option, but they were also the most thorough and professional. NDA's contract is extremely detailed in regards to material and pricing. Their designer, John Nelson, is amazing. Big shout out to John for designing a beautiful and functional kitchen. He took the time to design a great dining area while other contractors simply wanted to keep the old layout and slap on new cabinets. The workers on-site were efficient and diligent about keeping the place as clean as possible. The one major complaint I have is the grout and caulk work - both in the kitchen and the bathroom. The caulk between the backsplash and countertop has separated - for the second time now. Grout in multiple areas of the bathroom developed a crack. The grout at one corner of my bathroom window is cracked and yellowing. Our major concern is possible mold, which is a pain to remedy. We've reached out to NDA about these issues several times since November. They still haven't been able to resolve the issue. There's a general reply about checking worker schedules or reviewing the request but NO follow through. This has been very frustrating. Based on these events, I would not recommend or use NDA again for future projects.

If you want to renovate your kitchen like they do on those tv shows, and if you simply want to tell someone what you want and then have them miraculously deliver, you need to call NDA Kitchens. We recently renovated our entire kitchen, and NDA made the experience easy and comfortable. Not only did they complete the renovation in 4 weeks, just like they promised, but they also took care of any problems that arose along the way. They took care of everything, from drawing up my design wishes, to ordering supplies, to planning a detailed day by day schedule, to following that schedule perfectly. Everyone that I dealt with was friendly, knowledgable, and dedicated to getting the kitchen done correctly and on time. A big thank you to John, Michelle, Mike, Tommy, Chris and the rest of the group! You really are the best. I highly recommend NDA Kitchens!

They drew up blue prints/ autoCAD and we were able to see where everything would go. Even down to light switches. Their showroom had everything that we needed to pick from- one stop shopping! When they didn't have the granite for our bathroom that we liked, they ordered what we wanted! They finished by their deadline. Were EXTREMELY responsive to any questions or changes along the way. We had a customer service rep that worked with us the entire way. She would send us an email detailing what we could expect the next day. Even after the last check was given, they have continued to answer questions and assist us to obtain other things we needed (i.e. an extra shelf for the cabinet). Redoing the basement next year and they will be back again!

NDA was Top Notch to deal with!!! Walter was our kitchen designer and was knowledgeable, thorough and really listened to what we wanted! The project ran right on time and every person that came to our house was professional, timely, and always cleaned up before they left. I would highly recommend NDA! Three weeks and our kitchen was done!

After more than a year of extensive research, to plan our kitchen project, and reviewing numerous price quotes and evaluations of contractors we chose to go with NDA Kitchens. NDA had the very best of reviews and we liked the fact that they handled every aspect of the project. We were somewhat skeptical at first that they could go from a complete rip out to a complete renovation in 4 to 6 weeks after hearing stories about other contractors taking months to get such projects completed, but when they agreed to the performance terms in their contract with us we knew they were genuine. We received a complete and very detailed construction schedule - indicating that the job would run 20 days and the schedule showed every detail as to what would be accomplished and on what day. Each day a different crew showed up of 3 to 4 guys each specializing in one aspect of the job ( and they performed each aspect with expertise). Every day a project supervisor showed up in morning to ensure everything was understood by the crews and by us as to what would be accomplished for that day. And again every afternoon we saw the same project manager pop in to check on progress. Their coordination and project management and communication with us was outstanding. They even have one person in the office tasked with follow up and scheduling to ensure that you have someone to speak with even if the project manager isn’t on site and she will make sure that any questions with regard to the project are answered promptly should you need to talk to someone. The Workmanship, the cleanup and the care with which they accomplished their tasks also was also exemplary. They are truly a cut above their competitors in every aspect of performance and I highly recommend them. Can’t say enough good things about NDA. Work was done in the 2 week time frame they promised and that was taking the kitchen down to the studs. They also leveled the floor( it is an old house). They were meticulous in their work and very clean. As far as cost, you get what you pay for!

All the work and all of the workers were as skilled and friendly as one would want when work is done in your home

NDA was absolutely amazing! All teams from demo to carpenters were perfectionist, every detail was taken care of and all concerns were addressed immediately. The quality of their workmanship was outstanding! Also the office manager Michelle was stellar! She organized everything down to the smallest detail and was in constant contact with us to make sure all is satisfactory to us. We are more than happy with the outcome of our project and would highly recommend this company!

When researching companies to perform my kitchen renovation through Angie’s List, I came across NDA which had many glowing reviews. Given the horror stories most people tell about home renovations, it was hard to believe that this could be true. Now that my project is complete, I am pleased to say that NDA exceeded expectations. Samantha (designer) was very knowledgeable, helpful, efficient, and flexible. We are very happy with the outcome of what has been built based on the space, our requests, and her design acumen. Before the project began we received a work schedule for every day which the team actually finished ahead of schedule on several occasions. Michelle (Customer Service Manager) was in contact with me every day throughout the process – promptly responding to inquiries, providing comprehensive explanations, and just a pleasure to work with. I met a number of workers and they were very friendly, courteous to neighbors, clean, and responsive to my inquiries. On more than one occasion they went above and beyond in addressing a request I made to have something done that was not included in the contract. The experience with NDA was the fantastic; I would not hesitate to use them again.

This is an excellent company. Everyone, from plumbers to electricians, were professional, neat, and most of all, competent. NDA was in communication with me throughout the project. I would use this company again and have recommended the company to others.

Everyone at nda were truly professional. From the first meeting with John who designed our new kitchen to Chris Courtney Michelle and all of the workers all were polite courteous on time and did excellent work my wife and I are thrilled with our new kitchen. Nobody tried to steer us in the direction they wanted to go they let us decide. a very important point they made suggestions but we had the final word. I would very strongly suggest to anyone looking to have a new kitchen done to make nda your first stop you won't need another. Thanks again nda for a truly GREAT job.

We were very happy with the company on both occasions. There was one glitch with a flooring issue . NDA took care of the problem immediately with no additional expense to us. We would hire them again. They are professional, on time, do good work and are responsive.

NDA walked me through everything. From the moment I walked through the door to even after the project was finished. EVERYONE works hard, is dedicated and has the utmost professionalism. They don't leave one thing out! I trust them emensly and will CERTAINLY use them again. Not to mention the receptionist, Michelle is ALWAYS available for questions and concerns. It doesn't matter the time or the day. She will answer and get in touch with either Courtney, Anthony, Phil, or the designer John. The project came out beautifully and was even completed before the expected time.

Prior to selecting them we got two other bids from other kitchen remodeling companies. NDA,s sales rep, John Nelson was the only one that listened to our needs and made wonderful suggestions. We wanted a second oven and the first two companies reps said this wasn't plausible without taking up more floor space in our already small kitchen. It was John who mentioned a dual temperature oven that was the same size as our old oven. In addition to which he designed the kitchen in a way that we would have more counter and cabinet space. The pull out pantry gets the most buzz when friends come over. The carpenters were equally as wonderful. They were personable and followed the job schedule to a T! We love our new kitchen and we would highly recommend NDA to anyone considering having any remodeling done.

It took approximately two and a half weeks. I was provided with a complete schedule of what was to be done each day. Everything was completed exactly as scheduled and as I was told. Every crew that came in to complete their task, whether demolition, electric, plumbing, tile work were exceptional. They were friendly, polite and really competent. Everything looks beautiful. I was really impressed with their organization from Walter in the design showroom who helped me select all the materials I would use to the project manager Courtney who stopped in periodically to survey the work and check with me. Michelle in the office would email me each afternoon to indicate the next day's work and was immediately responsive to any questions I had, every single day. She was terrific. I would recommend NDA to anyone and use them again. They are a truly professional operation.

We put off this project for quite some time due to the amount of time we would be without a kitchen and some nightmare stories we heard from others. Two co-workers both had NDA and highly recommended them. So glad they did. When NDA says a complete kitchen upgrade in 10 days, they really mean it. We had other estimates from other companies who gave us time frames of a month +. Our project began in February meeting & working with the owner of NDA. He was so knowledgeable and personable. He gave us ideas that we never would have thought of and the floorplan he designed for us was fantastic. All of the workers who came into our home were courteous, professional and their quality of work was incredible. They even closed the access to the front door and used the side door to remove debris and walk it around to the front of the house to the dumpster. By doing that it allowed us to have a clear access to the rest of the house, kept the rest of the house warm and minimized the amount of dust, etc. I think most would have just taken the easy way and they didn't. They thought of the customer first. I wish I could name each of the workers in this review as they were all phenomenal. I do have to give kudos to Michelle the Customer Service Manager. She is always upbeat, and kept us up to speed on every step of the project, from schedules to deliveries to payments. Even now though the project has been completed for several months, any issues, questions I have she responds back and resolves any issues quickly. To sum this all up, for something we were skeptical about starting; this experience was great. I absolutely recommend NDA. I wish there was a higher rating than A because they all deserve it.

We contacted NDA initially around the holidays in 2013. They came and measured the full existing area, sat with us and went over various design options to better utilize the space. After the initial measure, we were asked to come to their showroom, where we went over the design plans and an extremely detailed estimate. To my astonishment, they include every detail of the renovation in their proposals...the only items we were asked to purchase on our own were appliances and light fixtures. It was this level of detail that led us to choose NDA. We had other contractors see the home, and they were quick to give lower figures but never with backup information and definitely never with an estimate packed with that much detail. I knew in the end we would get hurt by those companies and their lack of forthcoming information. After making all of our selections we received a call a few weeks later saying we had a start date and were sent a schedule that detailed each day of our project. We literally knew which day the plumber would be there, when the tile would go down...all of it. And the biggest surprise, the job went exactly according to that schedule! Obviously there were some small hiccups, but being its construction that is to be expected...and they were always taken care of quickly. The kitchen was finished in a little over 3 weeks and we could not be happier with how everything came out! Every single person that was in our house was friendly and thorough, and they swept and vacuumed at the end of each day. We were so happy with the whole process that we recently finished a bathroom renovation. Since we only have one full bathroom in the house, they worked with us to complete the whole project while we were on vacation. I can't imagine having that level of trust with any other contractor. After 7 days away we came home to a completely renovated bathroom and a clean home and again, we couldn't be happier! I can't say enough good things about NDA and our experiences with both the kitchen and bathroom renovations. My only recommendation is that when you're trying to choose a contractor, make sure you're comparing apples to apples. If a contractor can't detail exactly what you're getting and how much it will cost from the start then you're bound to get hurt in the end.

I got a beautiful kitchen loved everything until one year later when all my cabinets split at the seams, they came and gave me new cabinets. One year later again all the seams split, so they gave me new cabinets, not the same that I originally chose and not the same color (They did not make my color anymore) so they had all of the cabinets refinished to match as best as they could. So I now had cabinets that were not the ones I chose and were not a perfect match to all the moldings they left from the original cabinets they originally, put up. they should have given me everything all new and made me choose a different color becasuse now ALL of my cabinets have a dark orange color bleeding through them from the refinishing. I called the owner Ed who refused to speak to me, wrote him letters, he still refused. He had his daughter call me and tell me I could have $1000.00 to refinish some of the cabinets because my warranty was up. I told them it shouldnt be because these cabinets are not the original ones and are still under the ten year warranty but they wouldnt budge! So I got 12 out of 42 cabinet fronts refinished!! All the rest have spots! DON'T PURCHASE FROM THEM!! Obviously members mark is not a good brand of cabinets and I am now stuck.. The also pieced my granite in front and back of the kitchen sink instead of the usual corner and my granite keeps getting wet and shifting. Last year we had NDA redo our kitchen. It was an elaborate job that required load bearing walls to be moved, and took over a month to complete. We could not be happier. These guys delivered on everything they said they would do and more. Every aspect of their work was outstanding. They were professional and honest. I normally don't like leaving my house unattended with workers inside, but these guys were totally trustworthy. Their was only one thing that required us to call them back (a defective hood from Wolf [Not NDA's fault]) and they were responsive and did the right thing. They were not cheep, but you get what you pay for, and I would not hesitate recommending them to anyone: they were awesome.

My wife and I decided to renovate the entire downstairs of our home and refinish our master bath upstairs. We came upon NDA at one of the many home shows on Long Island. After speaking with John Nelson, who was manning their booth at the show, we set a date for him to come to the house. He showed up on time, took some measurements and discussed some ideas that he had. Unlike many other home improvement contractors, he spent several hours coming up with detailed plans without asking for any deposits or fees. We liked the proposals, and , based on that, and a recommendation from a good friend, plus the many favorable reviews on Angie's List, we contracted with NDA to redo our kitchen and master bath, take down walls, remove flooring throughout the lower level and install new porcelain flooring. We met with John several times to finalize selections of design and material, during which times he patiently guided us through the process. We liked the fact that NDA is a one stop operation, furnishing all materials and labor. We did not want to have to hire separate carpenters, electricians, etc., and have to worry about coordinating them. This company takes care of everything for you (with the exception of appliances and painters) which makes life a lot easier. About a week prior to the scheduled start of construction, we were sent a schedule that listed the work and the contractors that would be showing up on each day. The schedule also listed payments that were due. Then came the surprise. They actually adhered to the schedule. Imagine that! A contractor who gives you a schedule in advance, and then shows up every day, on time. The men knew exactly what had to be done each day, and each crew was amazing. There was a demolition crew, a sheetrock and taping crew, and then a finishing crew to install cabinetry and trim. Plumbers, electricians, tile workers, all showed up on time and were well versed in what needed to be accomplished. The quality of the workmanship and the materials that were used were excellent. If something went awry, I called and spoke with Michelle, who is in charge of coordinating the schedules, and it was made right. After listening to friends and neighbors tell us their horror stories about dealing with contractors and their long delays, NDA seems like a e breath of fresh air. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for quality workmanship and as hassle free an experience as possible.

My wife and I were very happy with the work done for us by NDA. The kitchen was a complete renovation including new windows, sliding door and all new electric and plumbing. The job was pricey but we did pick out all high end materials. The workers were very neat, clean and courteous, not to mention very meticulous craftsmen. The fit and finish was superb. Part of the job required us to move our deck so they removed the old deck and built us a beautiful new composite deck. We did have a few bumps in the road along the way but in the end but I guess that is to be expected with a job of this size. Ed (owner) was quick to respond to any issues and did whatever was necessary to make us happy. Walter was very helpful and patient during the design faze and Michelle in customer service was a pleasure to deal with. She was very responsive and always followed thru. If your looking for high quality work you won't be disappointed using NDA.

NDA did a fantastic job on our kitchen and constructing a new laundry area in an adjoining hallway as well as a walk in closet and a broom closet. We have a very old house and our old cabinets (which were only put up 15 years ago by a kitchen company who's lower prices matched their low quality work) were pulling away from the ceiling and the wall. Ed, NDA's owner, said he would gut the whole kitchen, leveling walls, ceiling and floor and putting in new wiring and plumbing. This company takes great pride in their work. They delivered on all their promises. All work was completed in three weeks as promised and it was done beautifully! We couldn't be happier with our new kitchen.
