+ -1 moreQuinn paving was excellent from start to finish. The quote was reasonable and their people knew what they were doing. They excavated our long driveway plus parking area to our specifications. Towards the end of the first day they put the rock down and paved it the following day. They also successfully graded the driveway away from the house. This was a serious concern for us since the driveway sloped towards the house. All of the workers were polite and professional. The work was completed on time.
Description of Work: We had an asphalt driveway installed.

+ -1 moreThey gave me a verbal quote. I had to call them twice to get a quote. I'm assuming they came out, but we did all of this over the phone. They were the highest estimate we received. I never actually met them.

Description of Work: It took three phone calls over a period of one week asking for an estimate to have my driveway repaved before anyone called me back. They came the following week to look at it and the gentleman said I would have a quote by the end of the next day. | |I encountered him at my place of employment a week later and he made excuses of being busy and that he needed to talk to the owner for his input. I waited another two weeks before emailing him and asking if they were serious about bidding on the job. He assured me that they were and gave me more excuses as to why it wasn't done yet. I waited a few more days and emailed him back asking if he was going to quote or not. I received no response. | |I called their number and left a voice mail asking to speak to the owner and got a call back a few days later from someone else (not the owner or the first person I dealt with). He apologized and said they did want to quote and I thought he was going to come the next week. | |After waiting two more weeks I called another company that did bid on the job and made arrangements for them to do the work. | |I think I gave them every chance possible and therefore would not recommend them to anyone. |

+ -1 moreThey did exactly what the work scope required on time and on budget. They actually did a little more than was required at the entrance of the road.
Description of Work: Quinn did the Landings private road (Hillcrest Drive) back in 2012. Their price was equal to one other paver (Richards Paving) but the reputation was much better so all else being equal the HOA decided on Quinn. We were happy we did. We also had 3 other quotes ranging from $85,000 to 65,000.

+ -1 moreCalled contractor three times over a two week period, leaving a message each time requesting that he contact me to schedule for an estimate to repair paved driveway. Finally received callback and was told that representative was performing job on adjacent street and would stop to look at driveway. He further stated that he would later call me with an estimate for the repairs. Contractor never arrived and as of another week later, have not heard from the company. Will be using a different contractor.

Description of Work: Quinn Paving paved our driveway in October of 2013. It was a very large driveway and they did a good job. One issue I had with them is the width of the driveway at the road. I was told that it could only be so wide because of the town regulations, but I later discovered that was not true. I believe they cut the width at the road because I had negotiated them down from their original estimate and made that loss up by making the width smaller. I will consider using them in the future but I will be more attentive to the actual deal.

+ -1 moreThe called back the same day and set up an appointment to provide a quote. Was very accommodating with the time of day. Showed up on time and walked through the project with us. They were not not the cheapest but one of the most professional personnel that came out. The dug the gravel out of the driveway down to 8". Some areas required a fabric to be laid down because of clay and sand. This was explained during the quote that it may be necessary. The did not need to use as much gravel or the material layer as they originally thought so the extra cost for the material was not charged and the extra stone that was ordered was not required because half the drive way already had a good base of crush rock. They laid 6" of crush rock and 2 1/2 inches of binder and compressed each layer separately. The cost work out to $2.64 a sq ft. The Supervisor called the a day ahead since they were finishing up another job in the local area and started the next day they finished in 3 days and made sure they had proper water drainage through out the drive as the rain water all over the paved area to ensure it properly rain off.The person that came was very informative and did not talk about any of his competition to make them sound better. Spoke about the fact and gave us 2 options with different prices. Individual answered all are questions and made sure we knew we could call anytime if we had any question about the process or driveway when it was finished.
