They had three guys come out to replace the roof. They are true to their name they are very reliable. They are the only roofer that comes out when I call them. It took a couple a days to complete, they were there for six hours per day. They answer the phone, you make the appointment they actually come, they give you an estimate and honor that price. They are honest and reliable which is hard to find around you. They say themselves we make an appointment and we come. You'll get exactly what you expect and if they break something they will fix it for free. It's almost like doing business in the 1950's

The work was done as discussed. Connections were replaced and the damaged gutter was fixed. all completed as scheduled. It was quite expensive for the work done.

They were on time and proceeded with the installation as promised. I would have no problem hiring them again.

I am very disappointed with them because they have good ratings. He had said that they need to put a new roof. When I called them back to try to get an estimate for that, he won’t return my phone calls. I asked for their services on the quote because they worked on a friend of mine and they recommended them to me. When they gave me the quote, they came right away, they were very responsive in getting me the estimate right away. Maybe he thought that I just want a quote that is why he is not returning my calls. I called their office and they said that I should contact him because he was the one who came for the estimate. I gave up on him.

There was some sort of algae on my roof and I called A&J to take a look at it. The man who came over was very polite and helpful and said that they could do a safe chemical wash. I also asked them to look at putting in an attic fan. They emailed me a quote a few days later and that's when the lack of responsive started. I had some questions but simply could not get them on the phone to answer them despite repeated calls. They finally called back and I decided to schedule the roof wash but not the fan. Once again it was a nightmare getting them to respond to my phone calls and schedule a date. I left messages with the office as well as the guy who visited the house. Finally the office called and told me that the guy who came by the house no longer worked there. That does not explain why the office did not return my calls. Extremely unresponsive, but quality of work when done was good. Doubt I would use them again since it is so difficult to get them to respond.

I used them 19 years ago to put new gutters and gutter guards over the top. I started to have a leak in one of my gutters 15 years later. I called them up. They came. They fixed the problem and they took the tops off of all my gutters, cleaned all my gutters out but no charge. So, when I was looking to put a new roof, I got five or six different estimates, I ended up going with them and they did a terrific job. They weren't the highest. They weren't the lowest.

This was a large endeavor for my wife and I. We first met with Charlie Venezia to discuss the scope of the job. Right off the bat we were put at ease discussing all of our options of color, style and pricing with him. The first crew that came were the roofers who finished the job in one day. This was a rip up of two layers of shingles and installation of new. Next came the siding. This part of the job took approximately eight days. This crew also showed excellent craftsmanship. This job included ripping off all the old siding and installing new. The next crew installed 13 double hung windows plus a picture window and a bay window. A& J's carpenter Wayne Gibbs is a superb craftsman. He made this job look effortless. He is a definite asset to your company. Last but not least was the installation of new gutters. My wife and I were very happy with all of the A&J workers. Everyday they cleaned the worksite before leaving.Their workmanship was very professional, and their attention to detail shows in the finished product. They roofed my house under previous owners 10 years ago. I called them to have them check a leak in the porch roof. They came promptly and inspected the roof. The man said that he'd send guys over to patch it up. Never showed up. I called several times. But the guy never called back. FINALLY, THANKS TO MY REVIEW ON ANGIE'S LIST THEY CAME AND GAVE ME A QUOTE FOR A NEW ROOF.

Roofing work performed on time and done well however the clean up was abysmal. The crew left hundreds on roofing nails and pieces of scrap metal around the property posing a significant hazard to anyone walking around in bare feet or sandals. The lack of appropriate clean up should be a cause for concern for families with young children.

Job started last fall but due to weather final details could not be completed until last week. The roof performed very well over the winter with heavy snow and recent heavy rains. Overall it went really well. The roof and coping are beautiful. They went the extra mile with details. Charles Venezia delivered what he promised and more. I plan to use A&J for my next big project -- metal siding.

Charlie V. came to the house with a professional estimate with prices and parts to be used. The crew arrived on time and did a very professional job. They took $100 as a down payment. I can't say enough about their workmanship and professionalism.

They were there when they said they would be. even in the nasty weather they got the job done. Wendall is very professional and any questions I needed to be answered he would call right back. We had our gutters done last year by A & Reliable and a roof. I highly recommend them. They leave your property like no one even worked there. I had other estimates and they came out the best.

No leak since. I will definitely call them again.

Dear Readers: On March 22, 2014 we received an evaluation from A & J RELIABLE, Inc to examine our Roof to determine the water leak we have had for years. Charles Venezia arrived on time and went straight to work. Charles informed us that our Roof is in fine condition. Charles stated,the chimmney is the cause of the leak. Specifically,the stone Facia is Flaking and breaking up. Considering that fact that my Grandfather and Father built the home in 1954, this issue was bound to develop. Charles, is a very knowledgeable gentleman who explained the proceedures a Mason should take to repair the leak issue. Charles will recommend a Mason by the name of Pedro. I received Mr. Hill's estimate 2 days earlier. It and a competitor's were within $15 of each other, but no other information about materials was included. This job may be a no-brainer to installers, but not to this home owner and new customer. Two days later, without my approval or authorization and while nobody was home, they started the job. It was half-completed when I got home. After some words with the installers and phone call to the office (Mr. Hill not available), I allowed them to complete the job. I let Mr. Hill and Mr. Gallina, A & J President, know of my displeasure. All it would have taken was a simple question: Is Tuesday, March 4, acceptable? I'm sure they weren't shaking in their boots, but they certainly lost any chance at a roofing job later this year, which they also estimated for me.

Requested an estimate for two sections of my gutters to be replaced. One section I wanted a quote for both 5" and 6" width gutters. They came on-time, knew exactly what I wanted, gave the quote on-site for everything, and even offered to schedule a specific date and time to do the work. The only reason I didn't hire them was that I had an outstanding contract that initially said they wouldn't be available till early March, but just happened to show up the day of the estimate. I wish I could've given A&J my business!

Darren was able to identify exactly why our roof was leaking. He is professional and takes the time to explain what is wrong. They were sub contracted by another business to install our new gutters. We were happy with that work, so we called when we had the leak. Most recently, he was quite helpful to explain ice dams and what we can do to prevent them.

Wonderful service. Came within 24 hours of our call. They charge per hour - the first hour is a flat charge. When I called to make the appointment, the gentleman on the phone was very detailed in his explanation of how they charge and how much. They sent two workers - both very nice and pleasant. They finished clearing the roof in about half an hour and used the remaining time I paid for shoveling my walk and deck. I'd asked about doing the walk, but the deck they did on their own. I'd used this company in 2011 to replace some gutters and was very satisfied with their service then. Highly recommend. Will use in the future to have roof evaluated if the winter ever ends....

Very poor. The individual I spoke with kept on telling me I had an ice jam problem & could not help me. I tried to explaIn to him THAT IT WAS MORE THAN AN ICE JAM PROBLEM. I never had the problem before. About 3 years ago I had the gutters replaced and the problems thereafter. The recent ice & snow is merely an onging of the probelm. None of my neighbors with the same house have this problem, He wouldn't even look at my gutters. Obviously he had many other calls and did not want to be bothered by me. I was ayailable at any time for an inspection. Did not want to schedule me. When you cannot be bothered your not professional.

I had an interesting experience with them. The company?s sales rep came to the house and gave me a whole stack of paper to show me their credentials. I was rather impressed with the resume that they had. It was part of their marketing sales pitch. He talked about the company and provided a list of referrals. The sales rep. showed me up-to-date insurance. At the same time, I told him that I have another window project at a different property. He told me that they also do window projects, but handled by his boss, so I asked him to have his boss call me which he never did. I tried to call the boss twice and wasn?t able to reach him. I tried to reach the sales rep. several times and he gave me the proposal 5 days after his initial visit. That was rather a lengthy time. Their responsiveness is really bad. I tried to negotiate the price and next thing I know, I got an email saying he could not dot the job. I asked them why; they never responded and never heard from them again. Updated on Feb. 11, 2014 Any company has right to refuse to work, nevertheless, it is very unprofessional to disengage the discussions abruptly and refuse to respond the customer?s repeated requests for explanations. The revised proposal was based on two other proposals that I received; it was not only realistic, but also achievable. The job was completed in full scope and under $13,700 by another GAF certified Master Elite contractor. All the negative comments could be avoided if they just exercised common courtesy, and treated the customers with some respect. Most importantly for the customers, it PAYS to shop around.

The price reflected is for the latest job. Other roofers offered a lower price but there is no substitute for quality. I have a very large roof and would rather do it in sections to make it affordable and use A&J. I even used them for 2 window replacements.

All went smoothly and when one section needed to be adjusted, they promptly made the correction. The only issue was that nails were left on the premises, though again, they sent a crew to remove them.

They came in and gave advice quote did not actually use them yet but will definitely use them in the future.
