A & J Reliable removed an old roof, installed a new roof, gutters and gutter toppers. All work was done within 3 days with no issues. Prior to the job the sales person was very thorough in what was going to be done. The cost for new roof was slightly higher than other quotes I received but worth it. The workers that installed the new roof were professional, hard working and did a good job. After the job was done the entire yard was cleaned wonderfully with very little sign of debris. The unique gutter toppers match the color of the roof which in my opinion looks better than those provided by other companies. We had no issues with the new gutter installation. I would definitely recommended using this company for a full roof replacement.

We contacted three gutter repair specialists - all found here on Angies's list and recommended. A&J Reliable was hands-down the most prompt, courteous, professional AND the most reasonably priced. As a small business owner myself, I am quite impressed with the superior quality of their entire operation, from start to finish. I even called their competitors to make sure they knew how high the bar is being set by A&J and exactly why they did not get the business. A&J is going to be hard to beat.

We even ended up upgrading our original quote to include gutter covers. we have had no leaks since the roof repair which is very reassuring and the gutters work wonderfully. Called A&J because of water leaking in ceiling of den since I was concerned that it was coming from the roof. They came out immediately and inspected the roof for water leaks. They were truly professional and honest in telling me that there was no apparent roof problems and that I should contact a plumber to look for a pipe leak. In fact, there was no charge for the time spent. I then contacted a plumber who found that the water leak was due to a hole in a water pipe in the ceiling .While we often hear stories of disreputable roofers who will seek to get roof work where none is really needed, A&J stands apart from such contractors. A&J brings credit to the roofing trade with its honest and professional approach. It is indeed gratifying that there exists such reputable contractors like A&J.

We had a tree fall on our house during hurricane Sandy. It did a lot of damage. We went through 2 other contractors that both bailed on us and wouldn't finish the work before we called A&J.. A & J was very reliable! They showed up when they said, worked quickly and did a great job.

I had delayed repairs on the roof because of reluctance to begin the contractor search (I had had a bad experience before with inhouse repairs). I finally joined Angie's List and found A&J Reliable and their numerous glowing reviews. Wendell of A&J responded right away to my call and we discussed the work on the barn and scheduled an appointment. He arrived on time, and was pleasant, knowledgeable and patient. l got the impression that Wendell and A&J take pride in their trade and pride in being a professional and stand-up company; that was big plus for me, as well as their being in business for 34 years. Wendell got a proposal to me in 24 hours and we scheduled a day to start work. The first day of work the team of three skilled roofers (all employees of A&J) came on time and spent a long full day working on the barn. They were all polite, respectful and hard-working; and tidied up before leaving for the day. The next day, they again arrived on time and finished up the job, beautifully. They cleaned up so thoroughly there wasn't a shred of evidence that they had been there - except for a handsome new cedar wood shake roof and new soffit. I was charged exactly what was put forth in the proposal, and with the cedar wood shakes and high quality of work performed I'm comfortable I paid a very reasonable amount to get this roof replaced. (FYI, had I preferred asphalt shingles rather than cedar wood shakes and didn't need the soffit repair, the new roof would have only cost $4000.00.) One more thing, we've had a considerable amount of rain in the 2 days since the new roof was completed and the inside of the barn is dry as toast!.

The representative Joe came to give us the estimate in mid-November 2012; he was timely and explained the process well, and got us the scale drawing needed for the town permit. The deposit was given to them 11/27/12. The mostly non-English speaking crew was here 1/7/13 - 1/8/13 to do the roofing job; they were polite. Each day the clean-up appeared good; I saw them use a blower to blow debris off the driveway. I found the debris (including dozens of nails) throughout my yard and gardens as I cleaned up this spring; thankfully, this was found prior to mowing and no one was injured. Several days later as the snow melted, I found the bathroom fan exhaust laying in the backyard, and not on the roof. The company returned to install a new one. The town building inspector came 1/15/13 and we did not pass, due to plywood being too close to the chimney. A&J was notified that day, and a (very efficient) 2-man crew came on 1/24/13 to make the necessary changes, and the inspector subsequently gave us the CO. The interior repair team was supposed to come 2/9/13 due to ceiling damages on the top floor (broken wallboard and extensive nail pops). It did snow, and they did not come, nor did they call. Over the next 10 weeks I left messages for Joe on his cell, at his work office, and with people at the office to reschedule; never did I get a call back. After sending a registered letter to the president of A&J on 3/23/13, I had results. As of 4/16/13, all work was done. Unfortunately, the non-response of the representative Joe at the end of the job has put a very negative spin on what was actually a decent job. It was winter, daylight hours were short, and I expected some hiccups. If the company had better managed the "finishing touches" I would have given a much better rating.

They were responsive and professional throughout the whole process. They gave us an estimate which was on the lower end of the proposals that we received and it ultimately got bumped up a bit because of the number of sheets of plywood that we needed. They started on schedule, removed the old and installed the new roof within a couple of days, and cleaned everything up. An electrical line in our roof was accidentally cut during the removal process and they sent an electrician to fix it without any hassle. Wendell was our Product and Sales Consultant who gave us the proposal and was always reachable throughout the job to answer any questions. After it was done, I mentioned the Angie's list discount and they immediately honored it. I would definitely use them again.

Darren visited us for an estimate. Incredibly professional & courteous. Everything they did and discussed with us was above and beyond the expectations that other Gutter companies had established. Although we ultimately didn't need much work to be done, I would hire A & J in a heart beat. Fantastic company.

We have seen no leaks so the work seems to be of quality. They did the work without us being there and they cleaned up after themselves.

They did a good job as far as I can tell. However, the job was just done within the last couple weeks so I can't relate any further than that.

Request for setting up a time for the company to come out and review to provide an estimate went well. It took longer than we would have liked/expected to get the initial quote which we had to request a few times via email/phone. When we did get the quote, there was a fairly large gap between it and what the insurance company was proposing, which led to a second on-site inspection from the insurance adjustor, who then negotiated with Reliable to arrive at an acceptable solution. The revised quote was completed promptly and approved, and soon thereafter a date was scheduled. The work was done quickly and professionally in one day as scheduled. We were quite happy with the final result. There was a follow up call to ensure we were happy with the services performed which was a nice touch. We suspect that the sheer amount of damage from Superstorm Sandy and other, perhaps more urgent, repairs needs affected Reliable's ability to respond quickly. We would certainly use them again if needed.

Our gutters were blocked and our downspout had been damaged by the neighbor's lawn mower. We also wanted to redirect the water out to the street and meanwhile steer clear of the lawn mower blade in the future. Someone came almost the next day after we called to look at the gutters and design a solution for the downspout. This was fast and thorough. We got a written estimate on the spot and agreed and signed. We were told they would come as soon as possible and we didn't need to be here. I explained that I didn't own the lot directly next to our house and we would need to get access from our neighbor. They gentleman said someone would call to set up an appointment. Instead two or three days later a crew just showed up to do the work. Our neighbors were not home and unfortunately we had to send them away. We got a call next morning to set up an appointment. This time we had approval from the neighbors and work went ahead. The crew spoke minimal English making it hard to communicate and while they had a drawing, they did not completely understand the plan for running the downspout around the neighbors fence. Because of this the fence was slightly compromised and they had to reroute the spout and fix the slight damage to the fence. Cleaning the gutters was very messy but I think that is normal. That said, they did an excellent job cleaning everything up and in the end the new downspout installation works perfectly and looks great (and the fence is fine too). I wish I could give them a B+ or A- but because of the confusion with scheduling and the difficulty communicating with the installation team I can't quite give them an A so i have to go with a B. I would hire this company again. They came up with a good solution, had a good price, and did the job quickly and effectively.

The came when they said they would, they spent time really looking at the problem and offering feedback. Then when the time came to repair, they were on time, on budget and did wonderful work. Very, very good experience.

A&J did a great job. They came and gave me estimate on a Saturday and returned on Tuesday to start and complete the initial project. Upon completing initial project they discovered additional damage to roof shingles and repaired those at later date. I was very pleased with A&J. As a result of Superstorm Sandy A&J and other roofing contractors were overhelmed with projects. I was extremely pleased with A&J's responsiveness to my call and am very satisfied with their services.
