Description of Work: Installed a cloth canopy door hood. The first install was too low.It blocked the door from opening fully. The second install was too high I still get wet opening the door when it's raining . I did not call them back because they left holes in the siding when they moved the door hood up so that I could open the door.I am not sure why they left the holes. Everytime I look up at the siding above the door I wish I had done something else to provide protection from the rain when opening the door because this did not work.

 + -1 moreIt went very well. We contracted them through Major Improvements. The salesman said the awing would be ready in 6 weeks. I said I had hoped for 2 weeks and sure enough, it was ready in approximately 2 weeks. The installers arrived on time and went right to work. They said it would take about 45 minutes, but they were done in about 20 minutes. They worked quickly and neatly. The awning works perfectly.

I called him and left a message but still didn't hear from him. We had been talking back and forth on cellphones to arrange the time of the visit, so he has my number. He was perfectly pleasant on the phone.

The most impressive thing was his responsiveness and prompt callbacks re: the awning. He also volunteered an idea about a retractable awning for the back of the house which I may pursue in the future.

 + -1 moreI talked to a bunch of other flaky companies and Chris was the opposite. He showed up practically same day, was prepared, well-informed and professional. He was terrific and when we needed something done post-installation he was just as responsive. Can't recommend highly. We did a huge renovation and he might have been the easiest sub-contractor we dealt with.
Description of Work: They installed a custom electric awning on our rear terrace in Manhattan. We picked the fabric from a huge book of fabrics he had with him and chose the awning material. It's great.
