Yost & Campbell Heating & Cooling

Wish they had an A+ rating. My experience with Kevin from Yost and Campbell was great. I would highly recommend him. He was prompt, courteous and knowledgeable. He explained in detail what the job entailed. Submitted a clear estimate which was comparable to others I had received. He walked me thru every step and answered all my questions and concerns promptly. After much consideration, however, I decided that converting my furnace was not right for me at this time and did not have the work done. I most certainly would have had Kevin do the job and will if I decide to go ahead with it at a later date.

Totally pleasant experience. The 48 year old gas heating/hot water system quit and was shut down by the gas company. I live in a different state and I rent the home to a relative who was now without heat and hot water. I immediately logged on to Angie's List to find someone reputable. Thankfully I found Yost & Campbell. From the initial phone call to completion of the job it was a totally pleasant experience. The owner's assistant is very pleasant. The owner was out to look at my home within 2 hours of my phone call. The estimate for the entire job was emailed to me within a half hour after that. He also responded quickly to the various questions I had emailed him. The company offers various payment options too. The job, which is an all day job, was completed efficiently by 3 workers who worked from 9-5 with a 1/2 hour break. My tenant said the workers were extremely pleasant, very clean, cleaned up perfectly after the job. They removed and disposed of the old equipment. They even covered the lawn before placing any pipes on it. About mid-day a supervisor came by to make sure the job was going well. The workers thoroughly explained to my tenant how the new boiler and hot water heater operate and showed her the shut off switches. They did not leave until she had heat and hot water. If there were a choice for A++ on Angie's List, I would give it to Yost & Campbell.

The entire process took only three full days to install the above components into our house. On Day 1 they removed the old hot water tank and boiler and installed the new system which was operational by 5:00 PM ... Day 2 and 3 the Mitsubishi air conditioners were installed on the inside walls of two rooms and the outside compressor with the electrical and refrigerant lines to the unit was installed as well. While outside work was being done the gas line to the new dryer was installed. During these three days the owner (Tom) and 2 field supervisors checked several times as to the progress of the job. The crew never left the house. All equipment and supplies needed were brought to the house by the installation team on a Yost Campbell truck and if any additional supplies were needed, another Yost and Campbell truck expedited the necessary supplies. Unfortunately, the three days they worked were wet and cold but the crew took great care in protecting our floors, beds, etc. cleaning up at the end of "each" day of work. When the job was completed, the house was clean and in the same order as before work started. Old boiler, tank, parts, etc. were all removed by Yost and Cambell. It is also important to note that the crew doing the install were knowledgeable, concientious and extremely pleasant professionals through and through. The entire experience with Yost and Campbell was A+++ and we highly recommend this exceptional business to everyone.

The guys from Y&C were excellent. Very professional, courteous, honest and neat. They showed up when then said they would which is uncommon in the service industry from my past experiences. They answered all my questions before and after the job was done. Would absolutely recommend them.

They are very nice and efficient. They get the job done. They are a reliable company and have been around a long time. Their technicians seem to really know what they are talking about. They do the job very well. You do have to follow up with them some because they are so busy.

Incredibly nice people!! Wanted to be friends with them.. They came out to do the estimate within a couple of hours of my call (because I was without heat and it was cold) and had it fully installed in ONE DAY!! Their workers were really thorough and awesome and cleaned up well. The cost was several thousand dollars less than the company sent out by my home warranty company, and they threw in a years' free maintenance!! I am new to the area and had no idea who to call, but this is the most awesome company I've ever had do major work in my home, anywhere! These guys are the absolute best!!!! And it's been a couple of months, and the new system works perfectly!! I love Yost and Campbell and would use them every chance I get and recommend to everyone. I was just so impressed from the first contact. It just never goes this smoothly, I was amazed.

I was very impressed with the service I received with Yost and Campbell and I would definitely hire them again. When I contacted them about getting an estimate to have a new boiler installed, they not only sent someone quickly, but the owner of the company was the one who came to my house. I found him to be honest and fair with explaining all of my options, and he didn't try to oversell to me, which the other place I called certainly seemed to do. The team that did the installation came right when scheduled and really knew what they were doing. I liked that the owner even came back while they were working to check on how it was going. They showed outstanding professionalism and I felt that they really appreciated my business.

I contacted a few companies about getting my furnace replaced, and I am so glad I went with Yost and Campbell. I was impressed with their professionalism and expertise right from the start on the phone. The owner himself came to my home to give me an estimate and happily answered all of my (many) questions! The technician who came to do the work came right on time. He was very friendly and knowledgeable, and I appreciated the care he took to protect my floors from getting dirty or damaged. I am so happy with how well my new efficient furnace works! I will definitely be recommending Yost to my family and friends whenever they need any heating or cooling work done. Thank you!

My disappointment in them was they did not analyze the problem properly before they charged me and after they charged me that did not solve my problem. They did not benefit me because and then they found out it was a crack in the thing and the original insulators had done when they put it in. They did not analyze that and they did not see that when they did their part. They been in business a long time and I don't think they did it deliberately.

My tenants could not get the heat to come on. Yost & Campbell determined that it was an emergency switch that we didn't know about (an old house) and they located it and turned it on. They had us look for all possibilities for lack of heat before they came out to save us the service charge, which I appreciated. They installed the system about 5 years ago and have done any and all service. I like them a lot. They are honest, show up when they say they will and are not over-priced.

Our Boiler was not working when I came home. I called Yost & Campbell and they had a technician over within two hours. He was polite clean and explained everything. He could have sold me a new unit but didn't. He changed the Gas valve and everything has been working perfectly. It was a great experience.

Excellent work! This past October I had issues with a water heater in my mother's basement. Upon arriving at her house, I saw that the basement was flooded. After failing to get in touch with the company who had installed the water heater just a few years earlier, I took a shot on Yost and Campbell (saw a local television advertisement). After leaving a message at 9pm, I shortly received a call from one of the owners, who informed me that he could swing bye within an hour and take a look. In addition he told me several steps to take so that more flooding would not occur before he arrived.Within 30 minutes, Kevin arrived and immediately went to work. After performing a thorough investigation, Kevin determined that there was an issue with the furnace, as well as the water heater. Explaining the expense that comes with this type of repair/installment he told me to - talk to mom, compare prices, and get back to him whenever I could. In the meantime, he bought a pump to clean the basement (at 10pm on a Saturday). After comparing prices, I had Kevin come back Monday and perform the installment. What impressed me most was that I had the owner overseeing the work that was done. Regardless of what type of field/industry you are in, bringing someone at the top level in, makes the customer feel better. There have been no issues since and I was told that if there was ever an issue, I could call and ask to speak to Kevin directly. I would highly recommend both Yost and Campbell and Kevin to anyone who needs any work done with regards to heating or air conditioning.

Unacceptable and unprofessional. If they can not manage an appointment I have little confidence they can service my furnace.

If you have a problem, even if it is 2 in the morning, they will come and take care of it.

The AC is running beautifully now. I'm sorry we wasted our money on previous attempts to repair the unit. The agent was professional, courteous and careful not to dirty the light colored carpeting. We are satisfied with the outcome; the unit has continued to perform well.

We moved into a home with an old, ancient boiler. We did not have hot water, but when we bought the home a few weeks prior, there was hot water. Yost told us that it was not a problem they could fix, that the whole unit needed to be replaced. Another company came to see it, twisted a few knobs, and we had hot water! No charge! Then to fix the heat, they replaced the circulator and we had heat and hot water all winter by just spending a few hundred dollars. Y & C did not give an honest estimate, or they just lacked the expertise with our old unit.

Their quote amount was about $7000. They are doing the job right now. The price was right and the person who gave us the quote was very knowledgeable. He was not trying to oversell us anything like other people.

AGain, we wanted to use Yost as for a problem with our furnace but they were unable to come when expected.

Got three estimates - Sears, Home Depot, and Yost + Campbell. Sears was very professional and made a good presentation when visiting to estimate the job. Unfortunately their price was much higher than Y+C. Also Sears uses contract installers. Home Depot was terrible. Very unprofessional. The gentleman came in, spent about 3 minutes looking at the furnace and came back and said - "we can do the job for $3,500 - and you get no-interest financing from Home Depot." I said, OK - can you give me an written estimate? He said "you want it in writing?". I said yes and gave him my fax number - never got an estimate. Yost & Cambell was very professional, spent time looking over what needed to be done, and provided some options. This was on a Friday. The gentleman was going to pick up his daughter from college and he said he would try to get the estimate to me by the end of day - but that it might be Monday. I had the estimate later on Friday - so he exceeded expectations. Price was very fair for the work done. The installers that came were very professional. They worked very efficiently and quietly in the house. Laid-down protection for the floor. The lead installer asked questions about how we changed the filter on the current furnace and created a much better option for the new furnace. The time to complete the job was about 6 hours for both the furnace and hot water heater. The installers cleaned everything up and left everything in order. As they were finishing a supervisor arrived to check and make sure everything was OK and that I was satisfied - he left all of the necessary documents and thanked me for the business. Very good experience - I'll have them back to do some additional work.

They seemed fine. They were professional and punctual. They contacted me via email without telling me, which wasn’t good. I wouldn’t consider using them in the future.

Yost & Campbell were very professional. They stuck to the price they quoted us and we signed a service contract with them afterwards. They showed us the broken part and had the new part right on the truck because they keep a large stock of parts with them.

They are very nice people. The gentleman who owns it seems like a trustworthy person.

They are one of the best companies I have ever used. I always receive great service from them. They are well worth the price.

we asked for four bids , then narrowed the scope and specifications for boiler conversion I asked for three times for estimated -twice they came in wrong and the third time -no response . So based on the estimating service described above I decided to give the job to the more accurate and responsive contractor
