The team at Peterson Dobbin is fantastic. Our A/C finally gave out after a few years of having a small leak. Al and his team took the time to diagnose the problem, and identify a fix, while still considering our budget. They managed to fit us in at the busiest time of the year and we were up and running again in just a few days (frankly, a miracle). The team is professional and knowledgeable, and I wouldn't use anyone else.

We purchased a 1920's house in Larchmont without air conditioning and Al was able to install a 2 zone system of traditional air and high velocity air with minimal visual impact (no huge ducts, etc - he's like a magician). Everything works well. He installed and connected an EcoBee system and tied our existing heat into the EcoBee too. We are super pleased and continue to stay in touch with Al - he is always a quick text or call, and his customer service is above and beyond.

Very well. We live in a converted 19th Century church that had no air conditioning. It was quite challenging and Peterson Dobbin did a wonderful job.

My contractor used Peterson-Dobbin as a subcontractor for the new heating AC unit as well as adding duct work and extended out the intake and exhaust pipes for my existing forced air system. So happy he did. He did an amazing job and was very personable and professional at all levels. He even called ahead when he was going to show unlike my contractor! I will absolutely use him in the future for any repairs or maintenance it may need.

Al and his experienced crew provided the highest level of service in replacing my entire HVAC system (convertible 2-stage gas furnace, condenser coil, outside condensing unit). Every dealing I had with Al was straight, informative and enjoyable. He quoted and completed the job, swiftly, with the highest quality workmanship, at a very reasonable price. I can't think of anything that could have improved Al's work.

I had my furnace breakdown over the weekend, and reached out to Al late Sunday night about coming by for an estimate. He promptly responded and arrived for an estimate early next day. He was very thorough with his estimate and was very honest with me about the pros and cons of updating to a high efficiency furnace and air conditioner. In the end, we couldn't make a deal, but I would recommend them to anyone looking for HVAC work based on their promptness and honesty.

Very well. I was expecting a large bill. The unit was out of warranty and I thought I might need replacement of the whole unit or, at least, a major component. Instead, the technician determined that a pin on the thermostat had broken off. The absence of that pin prevented the fan from engaging and unit itself was engineered not to engage unless the fan was turning. Based on his advice, I bought a new thermostat from Home Depot, installed it myself and the problem was solved.

They were not the least expensive quote, but I felt Al Fama was more experienced than the other vendor who was less expensive. They did a great job. Everything was done perfectly and on time.

Couldn't be happier with the work and service. Al is really great to work with. He has a wealth of experience and information about HVAC systems. He always recommended what was right for us, and not what would increase the price. His team is great as well. The install was fast and the work is high quality, prompting praise from the inspectors that had a look.

My basement is one of those that is half underground, so this installation was a challenge on many different levels. Al Fama, the president of Peterson-Dobbin, explained every aspect of what would need to happen to insure that what I needed would be taken care of. He made not one but two trips to my home to go over with me what was going to happen and how. I am a very picky person with very high standards, and from start to finish, Al and his entire team far exceeded my expectations. Their attention to detail is unlike anything I have ever experienced before. Their professionalism and courteousness was outstanding. It is a rare thing in this day and age to come across someone that is honest and honorable and I truly can not say enough about this company. Saying I highly recommend them does not come close to how I feel.

I have worked with Al Peterson for 22 years. He did the original installation of several air conditioner units, duct work, etc., when we did our renovation and addition. I have used his services ever since for maintenance, fixing troubles, and updating old units. He is respectful, thorough and very competent.
