NEW YORK CHIMNEY & FURNACE CLEANING COMPANY INC

I had requested chimney caps and cleaning for two chimneys. After they left, I noticed one chimney didn't have a cap. I called and was told the technician had decided to install a grate rather than a cap. I had not been told this beforehand. (A grate had been installed several years previously by a roofer.) Several months later I noticed the cap on the other chimney seemed to have partially fallen into the chimney. I assumed the cap was not affixed properly. A technician came over to replace the cap. However, I now notice that the cap is obviously too small for the chimney. One larger or two smaller caps should have been installed.

We scheduled to have our chimney cleaned about a week in advance. They were supposed to come on a Saturday between 10 & 2. When they did not show up at 2:30 I called and left a message on their machine. At approximately 3:20 I was called and told they were not coming (they did not check their machine). We rescheduled for the following Sat, between 11 & 1. At 11:30 they called and said the truck broke down and they would not be coming that day. We decided not to reschedule.

After not showing up for the first appointment they arrived promptly for the second appointment. The workers they sent were experienced and friendly and seemed to know what they were doing. I felt the company was not very organized.

There are never any problems with them. They are professional and they are done quickly. The price is reasonable and I am very satisfied with the work. I would recommend them to other people any time. They have a great service that is worth trying out.
