Muffetta's Housekeeping, House Cleaning and Household Staffing Agency

It's the same with all 4 of the agencies I tried to reach. Either they don't answer the calls have a voice mail? No success with the 4 agencies I called. It seems everyone wants a job but no one wants to work?

To start we have no kids; a cat and dog both small; three bedroom and 2.5 bath house. We have had two different cleaning people and both have been very good. There is communication if there are scheduling issues and we have worked those out - this includes both our schedule and the cleaning person's schedule. Very happy with everyone we've worked with: thorough, professional, attention to detail, friendly. Always a nice way to find your home sparkling.

Overall, the experience wasn't painful. However, since the service acts as somewhat of an employment agency, the fees are pretty steep. (In my opinion, @$30-$35 per hour, is expensive for a cleaning lady). I also don't like the concept of paying by the hour as opposed to paying by the job. Simply too much room and temptation for "I'm on the clock" work ethic. To their credit, the office staff were all personable and accommodating. The lady that came to clean was also very nice but worked at a somewhat "leisurely" pace, resulting in a fee that was about $100 more than I wished to spend.

So, the woman shows up at my kitchen door with the cleaning products and I step aside to let her in. She does not even come inside but begins to yell, "I can't clean here -- look at these counters! So much stuff!. I was shocked and a little insulted. I have had cleaning people for 40 years and have never had anyone yell at me about my counters (or anything else). She called the office and demanded to be picked up immediately. Then she stood in the street, waiting for the ride, yelling on her cellphone (don't know what she was saying, but she was gesturing wildly as she was speaking). 10 minutes later the car came for her. The company refunded my money and the owner apologized. As I said above, I don't think when you hire a cleaning service you must pre-clean your house. I did get someone else in a few days, recommended by a neighbor. She is still with me, almost 3 weeks later, and charges $120 for four hours and cleans my whole house beautifully and also does 3 loads of laundry. So, if you have a real life with a job and family and don't have time to neaten up everything before the cleaner comes, then in my opinion I don't think Muffetta's is the right fit for you. If you are obsessively neat, then I guess they will be happy to clean for you. Perhaps it was just this one woman, but truly this was a very unpleasant experience. Just wanted to let everyone know. . .

I called Thursday and Muffetta's agency selected Kora within two hours. Kora showed up Monday ready to clean for my houseful of guests. She was punctual, efficient, courteous, and lovely. She ironed, scrubbed, polished, turned over bedrooms and baths, and kept my ever-busy kitchen sparkling.

The housekeeper did a great job as far a pace of work, the detail orientation involved in cleaning such as dusting, corner areas, hard to get around places, and cleaning around furniture and household objects. The pace could have been just a bit faster, but overall I would recommend Muffetta's to anyone looking for a housekeeper.

Buyer so impressed they cancelled their move in cleaning service

I "moved" late and contacted a few provider to see who was available and I was able to schedule with Muffetta's. On the day of work 3 woman came with some cleaning stuff (they asked me in detail what else to provide) and started working. The house was very dirty (especially bathrooms) and the ladies worked very hard. The house is also quite large so some areas were done a bit too fast but overall service was very good.

it was billed as DEEP cleaning but was surface at best.

Wee have used Muffetta's for quite a while now, and we have been very pleased with the quality of the work, the responsiveness, punctuality, and problems solving. We highly recommend them.

From the moment I called, Angie was great. She understood what I needed and worked to help me address my cleaning needs. Angie sent Joan to my house and she arrived on time both times I've called and went right to work. It is a big house and seemed like a daunting task to begin a much needed deep-cleaning of the house from top to bottom. Joan rolled up her sleeves and jumped right in--working non-stop with excellent results. She was extremely detail oriented. I will definitely use Muffetta's again in the future and hope to use them on a more regular basis. Definitely reliable and great service. Only drawback is that it is a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for. And here I wasn't disappointed with the results in the least. I highly recommend Muffetta's. Thanks so much!!

Phone contact was very professional and pleasant. Morning of the work 3 women showed up, pleasant and had some cleaning materials that was needed. The house was pretty empty since the previous owner just moved out so I figured it would be easy and with three people one day would be enough. However, that was not the case, since they were getting paid by the our there was no incentive to move at a reasonable speed. They didn't finish the main living area even after 8hrs of work. My recommendation is to always agree on a fixed price for the job. I paid over $800 for 8hrs and still had to find someone else to finish the work.

The lady who came out to clean wound up taking an old cell phone and her son hacked in to some of my accounts. A blender was also broken and they sent a check for the value of the blender. I contacted the company right away and the woman I dealt with was very apologetic. We received a check for the blender, but there was not a note or an apology with it. I did get the phone back and it was a working phone before it was taken, but I still had different accounts on the phone and they were compromised. The phone was no longer working when I got it back, and I didn't receive a repsonse from the company when I updated them on the phone situation. Additionally, I feel like we gave them an opportunity to make the situation right, but they ignored it.

The service is great. Our assigned person, Sara, couldn't be better. She cleans everything beautifully and clearly takes pride in what she does. She actually cleans inside the refrigerator! She cleans the silverware drawer. She cleans windows. The stainless steel in the kitchen positively glows. Honestly, by the time Sara is done the place is so immaculate I almost feel unworthy to occupy it. Muffetta's did a great job of assigning the right person for us. My mother is particular about how her home is cleaned and Sara meets her very high standards. They work with your own preferred cleaning supplies but will also make suggestions if they know of something that works better. I have recommended Muffetta's to two neighbors in my building. Both signed up for the service and are very happy with it.

I was extremely satisfied with the quality of the work as well as with the professional who performed the services. The wood floors shone, the bathrooms looked sparkling and the products used - provided by Muffetta's Domestic Assistants - were eco-friendly and pleasant smelling. The end result was a sparkling clean home. The professional was just that - professional! She did her job very efficiently, was careful with the objects in my home, and was extremely pleasant. All in all, a very happy experience.

I have to give Muffetta's Domestic Assistants a huge A+ for their quality work, wonderful customer service and willingness to work at a moment's notice. I was having a house inspection in conjuction with refinancing our home and wanted the house to look as nice as possible. My usual housekeeper cancelled on me the night before, so I consulted Angie's List and found Muffetta's Domestic Assistants had many outstanding ratings. Despite the late hour (after 8pm), I called and reached Troy at this late hour asking if he could provide someone to do housecleaning at 7:30am the next morning to prepare for an inspection at 11:00am.He graciously offered to see if he could find someone and called back within 30 minutes to let me know I would have help at 7:30am the next morning. The worker showed up on time and did a wonderful job cleaning the house. Troy called to ensure his worker arrived on time and that I was pleased with her work, which I was. I would strongly recommend them to others and use them again myself.

Had an overall pleasant experience from start to finish. Troy was nice and professional. He sent Patricia, who was amazing and left my place cleaner than it has been in a long time. The only downfall was how expensive it is. She did such a nice job, however, that I suppose I paid for what I got.

From the first moment I spoke with Troy I had a good feeling about these guys and they didn't let me down. I called to arrange a pre move house cleaning and my moving day was pretty shaky but Troy worked with me and was ready when we were. I also changed my request at the very last minute ( cleaning windows in addition to the rest of house ) and they complied without a blink. Finished the job well and made a nice follow call to check on our satisfaction as well as a discount on further work. Nicely done.

Initial experience with obtaining service by telephone contact was very professional and proper. We got an excellent person to come to the house for weekly cleanings - the same one every time, which is a big plus and much better than prior experiences with other companies. The young woman who performs the cleaning service is herself professional, reliable, pleasant, and very competent.

Everything about Muffetta's Service was excellent. Nurika was the woman that came to clean my house several weeks in a row. She was punctual, careful, and thoughtful. I would highly recommend them and Troy was so responsive to my needs.

We wanted to have our house deep cleaned before moving in and are so glad we did so!!! Troy was wonderful to work with and the two ladies who came worked very hard, were very professional, and cleaned the house beautifully!! I will definitely use them again in the future.

Muffeta's Domestic Assistants was an absolute pleasure. While it was definitely pricey I can honestly say, you get what you pay for. Janice was always punctual and beyond thorough. She caught every detail that needed tending in our home and then went above and beyond to make it beautiful. She would do the laundry, fold clothes, arrange the pillows and clutter into a result that was calming and lovely. Troy, the manager is also a pleasure to work with. Both professional and kind he was always ready and able to address any issue all the while keeping me informed and sending reminders of upcoming cleaning dates or scheduling changes. Highly recommend!

The overall experiences I have had with Muffetta's insure that I will use them again whenever I need thorough house cleaning.

I get my apartment cleaned by this company once per month. The individuals who have been here have been friendly, hard-working individuals I would not hesitate to hire again in the future. I am comfortable providing them with access to my apartment when I am not there. The person who schedules the work, Troy, is a gem to work with throughout the process.

I managed to schedule a move with Jimmy only a few weeks in advance but still got exactly the day I wanted. It was a very quick arrangement - did the list online, Jimmy emailed a quick quote, I accepted, he sent the contract and we had a booking. There's not a lot of hand-holding but there's also no fuss. On the day, they were on time, the crew was great: friendly, respectful of our possessions and eager to get things right - very professional. They moved everything by mid-afternoon, were happy to move things that didn't look like they were in the right place and careful not to break anything. They added in a rubbish dump at the end of the day to clear out the old location without a problem and brought over extra boxes when we ran out. All in all a very good experience, everything was easy and well-organized and - dare I say - an almost stressfree move! Would have preferred to have the wardrobe boxes in advance so that the clothes could have been packed before they arrived, it worked out fine but I suggest you request that you get them before the move day. I'll use them again and I don't hesitate to recommend them. Thanks guys!
