Doctor Pavers

The previous reviews were right on:  Completely delightful contractor experience from soup to nuts.  We got an initial estimate from the favorite high end mason in our area who has done exemplary work in the past.  But the pricing was just too high for the project, and we were aware that every little extra would be added to the amount.  No give at all.  Dr Pavers set their sites on the total job. They found ways to execute ideas in a cost effective way, they came up with new solutions for handling a project within our cost parameters, and completed the job without breaks until it was done.  Every day we saw them doing extra stuff that wasn't in the original scope.  Only when they found one area that really needed an overhaul did they suggest we add some work and increase the number, and not by all that much.
Juliano is the front man and we were hugging each other when the project was completed. He has endless ideas, is frank about his opinion even if it means we don't do a part of the job that we originally intended. He's looking at the whole picture and his goal is a satisfied customer and good work.
Roberto and his team worked tirelessly. When a significant portion of the job was not completely to our satisfaction, they agreed with us and   redid it. I am telling you the honest truth: no bickering, no hedging, no grumbling.
These guys are pros, they listen well, they honor your desires and do it all with creativity and grace. What more can I say?  Hire them!

Doctor Pavers came on time and did the work. They certainly know what they were doing with the stone work. They treated it like a crossword puzzle, it was fascinating to watch them. They laid it out like a puzzle and built it up. The quality of the work was very good and they cleaned up afterwards. They were fair with the price. As far as getting a hold of them, the worker came right over and gave a price.

It took a while to get an appointment, they were quite busy  and my order got lost in the shuffle.
One more email brought fast results, Tony came punctually and did a good job on the repair work,
I have ordered some more work to be done.

Although they were very busy (probably because of the Angie's List promotion) and it took a while to schedule the work they did show up promptly on the appointed day. There was some confusion about the scope of work covered by the deal but ultimately I feel we received a good job at a good price. The work was performed efficiently and the completed job looks very good. I would use Dr. Pavers again.

I thought they were fantastic, they did a good job. The best part was the price. They did terrific work at reasonable price.

I’ve examined each stone and I can’t find any misalignments.
The steps form a fan shape. Each step retains the proper curvature. The mortar is smooth and level with each stone. 
Juliano of Doctor Pavers also reinstalled the stones constituting  the curb along the driveway, at no extra charge.
I would add that Juliano and his crew were cheerful and pleasant to work with.

I got a quote for mason work from a family member recommendation.  I knew this mason did wonderful work, but is quote was high.  I checked on Angies list, Doctor Pavers, answered by call. They set a convenient appointment for a quote.  They were on time and professional.  They e-mailed me a professional proposal and a very good price.  $1,300. less then the quote I received from another mason.  They were on time to start the job, they finished exactly when they said they would, did excellent work.  I couldn't ask for anything better.  Of course I highly recommend Doctor Pavers, do not hesitate to hire them, you'll be very glad you did.

The job was done with excellent workmanship and attention to detail.  Roberto and his assistant showed up when promised and were courteous to me and my wife.  He also cleaned up after the work, which doesn't always happened.

The whole experience went well. I had scheduling difficulties and they were very patient with me calling back a few times to reschedule. Arrived at the promised time, did the work and cleaned up. The wall looks great. I'm very happy. Will use them again.

The one caveat I would suggest is that when quoting an initial price, in this case of the "big deal,' ($149 for 3 hours work plus cement)
it might be more useful to apprise the customer up front of the possible extra cost for supplies and additional time.

I saw the $149 Angie's List coupon for 3 hours of masonry work, and within the hour of signing up received an email from Doctor Pavers. The email was to thank me and ask for my patience. Due to a busy week, he wouldn't be able to do the job until the following week. Not only was I surprised by his prompt response but I didn't expect to have the work begin within days of the request. To further my surprise and delight, Roberto emailed me just 3 days later to ask if he could come by and complete the job the following day (Saturday). He also asked for a picture of the work needed so that he could begin right away. And that he did. He arrived 2 minutes early, we had a brief conversation outside and I showed him the loose stone. He noticed the others and said he would also fix those in the three hours. Roberto didn't simply patch but removed each slab to drill away and clean out the old cement and lay it down like a brand new job. Fast forward two additional hours and we have a completely restored walkway. He did a beautiful and expert job and only charged us for the materials used. It was an easy decision to give him a generous tip that he accepted with humility and enthusiasm. A skilled professional who's primary focus is on doing a quality job with great customer service will always have our complete respect. We will ABSOLUTELY use Roberto and Doctor Pavers again! We received our monies worth and then some!

I bought the 3 hrs. of masonry repair special on the morning of 3/29 and received a call back and an offer to come and do the repair the following day! Never got such a quick response from any contractor. Roberto cleaned and removed all the bad mortar joints and repaired with fresh concrete. I only purchased three hours of repair time but over the two days it took to finish the job he and a helper put in about 7-8 man hours. All he asked for additional was to pay $35 for materials. I didn't think that was fair so I gave him an additional $100.  I have never had to argue with a contractor to pay MORE money.







The job was completed neatly and quickly. I would highly recommend Dr. Pavers.







I have asked for a quote to re-build a stone retaining wall and will happily employ this firm again.

Roberto and Luis were both very professional & personable.  Their price was very competitive and fair. 
Roberto was punctual every day and worked tirelessly for the whole day.  
The work area was always clean and the final product was excellent.  
I was extremely happy with their service and would hire them again.  
I will certainly have Roberto back to do some paver work, as well as some repointing in back yard retainer walls.

Roberto (Doctor Pavers) responded promptly to my inquiry; came in to give me an estimate and did so in a reasonable time.
His estimate appeared reasonable and I accepted it.
He began work on the date we agreed upon and worked continuously until completion. At the agreed upon time he came back for
the final cleanup of the site (the back patio) which still bore marks from the extensive cement work and mixing. He did a great job in restoring the patio to its condition prior to the start of the work.
He has easily been one of the best pros I hired in the last four or five years.

I cannot say enough about my experience with Doctor Pavers. From the first meeting on, everyone was great. Best of all, I have a walkway and steps that have been beautifully repaired, within a reasonable time frame and at a reasonable cost. My next door neighbor, after seeing the work Roberto and his crew did, hired them to do the same job for him! I can't imagine why anyone would use any other company.
