Doctor Pavers

I purchased a Big Deal from Angie's List for masonry work from Dr. Pavers. They responded to me quickly regarding setting up a time to complete the work, which I appreciated. When they came out, the work needed was much more than the Big Deal would cover. We decided to go ahead and replace the front wall instead of simply trying to repair it. The cost was higher than expected but I believe it was fair. They guys worked hard and completed the job quickly. They did leave a small gap between the yard and the wall but came back quickly to fill it in with soil after we contacted them. Overall, the experience was very positive. The guys at Dr. Pavers are professional, responsive and a pleasure to deal with. I would use them again, if needed!

It went well. They completed the project to satisfaction and also repositioned a rock from my stone wall that had fallen over. I had to pay for an extra hour not covered under the terms of the Angies List offer, but I'm very satisfied with the results.

Dr. Pavers was very responsive and professional from the moment I contacted them. I spoke with Juliano to arrange the service date materials needed and scope of work. We communicated via email and with photos of the work to be done. I found this to be very convenient. Humberto and Harrison performed the work. It is truly a pleasure to find a company and professionals who Rake pride in their craftsmanship. Price does not always equal good work and these days I look for companies that take pride in what they do. It was a pleasure having them working here. When all was done, Harrison also sprayed off the car in the driveway to remove the drifting dust when they had finished.

Very professional handling of situation. Explained in detail what was to happen. Used all the original bricks; dug up around and under walkway to level it again. Put new cement in to anchor walk on each side. Placed sand between bricks to prevent the same damage from occurring and also washed the entire walkway, as well as the side walkway. Work performed in a timely manner; place left clean and neat. I would highly recommend Doctor Pavers for masonry work.

I purchased the Angie's List Deal of 8 manhours of masonry for $399. I emailed the provider about the job and asked about supplies, start times, hours, etc. Juliano responded on the same day so I knew what to expect. Roberto and his partner / assistant showed up around 8:20 am (for an 8:30 start) and we walked through the job. Both men prepared the walls by scraping away the deteriorated stone or cement for about an hour or so, they applied a bonding adhesive and then the cement. Afterwards, They swept up and left nothing behind for us to clean-up or dispose of afterwards. They were consummate professionals, polite and quiet (no unnecessary noise). They drove out once to a nearby Home Depot to pick up supplies but returned quickly and with everything they needed. They worked all day and finished the job around 3:30 pm. They asked me to inspect the job and I walked through pointing out any areas that they had missed. They responded quickly and courteously to the feedback. The complete job took 2 men about 7 hours and so I paid an additional $300 + $35 supplies. The total cost was $735. The job was done exactly as we agreed at the start. The additional work hours / cost was also explained / anticipated from the start. I am very pleased with Doctor Pavers and would hire them again. I will recommend them to my neighbors.

Night and day. Now it looks as I can sell the house (or at least the garage). Fast, good workmanship, nice cleaning at the end.

Doctor Pavers called to confirm our appointment and arrived promptly. I performed a walk thru with them, pointing out numerous issues we needed to have corrected. When I returned later in the day, ALL the issues were repaired and even a few smaller items were corrected, much to our delight. I would certainly recommend Doctor Pavers to anyone seeking masonry work.

The work itself was good but had a problem with the contract brought through the membership. They were on time. I was charged for 2 masons where only one was dropped off and work for 6 to seven hours. When I contacted the company, they reply that my contract was for 4 hours with 2 men & 8 hours with one. I disputed the charge and paid only for an extra 2 hours for their foreman and material. I feel that they were trying to charge me more because I brought the special online.

This is my second project with Doctor Pavers and this involved a different team of two masons. I am pleased to say that the work was as excellent as the first smaller project. I am very impressed with their level of preparation for each assignment. They come on site with all the materials needed and provide quotes for labor and materials that are quite accurate. These guys are real craftsmen and we couldn't be more pleased with the quality of the work performed. Paver resetting came out beautifully as did the replacement of 16-18 broken bluestone slabs and the resetting of 30-40 total bluestone slabs. They have a great attitude and really seem to enjoy their work. Each day they leave sufficient time for a thorough worksite cleanup. They have also been flexible in accommodating small additional projects while the existing work was underway.

The cost was below what I expected and I think they did not charge me any more than the "big deal price" because there was a delay between start and completion and they had to fix a few mistakes. They were very professional, extremely hard working , but a little messy (lots of concrete stains on the blue stones) but I think it was very hard to detect the stains until the job was dry. The stains came off with some scrubbing. One of the two owners actually came to finish the job and correct the placement of 2 stones that had slid out of place and were not in alignment with the others. This was a lot of work as the stones had to be cut out with a saw, in little pieces. When the job was done, my wife asked what we owed them and the owner said nothing more than you already paid. I paid $400.00 for $800.00 worth of masonry work and expected to pay for materials, but as I said, I think they felt bad that there was a 1 week delay between start and finish and because there were some "mistakes" made. That being said I think the extreme 95-96 degree heat caused the stones to move as they are on a slight pitch, so I am not sure they could have even anticipated that. Really nice, professional, responsive people who I would certainly hire again.

Took longer than expected but then most things – done well – do.

Had a large tree removed from the middle of brick patio so had to replace missing bricks. Juliano was very responsive to my emails and concerns. Roberto and helper worked very carefully and neatly. They were able to find a good match for missing bricks. They powerwashed the entire patio making it look brand new. Will use them again for my next project.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and it worked out very well. They did a good job, were on time and did everything they said they were going to do. Now we will see if the product holds up over time. If it is all broken up by next spring then they did a good job. They are very prompt and did a little extra work for me, including materials. They were not the cheapest shop in town, but they were not too bad.

On the day of the work, two men showed up and one discussed the work with me. He suggested relaying the entire stone patio rather than repairing and said his colleague would work on the repair of the adjacent step. The finished product looked good but some type of cement powder was poured all over parts of my lawn and landscaping, killing parts of my grass and pachysandra. Afterward I received an invoice for $500. I was confused and thought he needed a coy of the big deal voucher, but he was requesting another $500 based on the fact two men were at my house! No one ever told me ere would be an extra charge for this person I did not request and who showed up for the planned 8 hour work day before discussing my project. Furthermore, the paver decided to take the more time consuming step of relaying the patio. This was not needed. I felt like the "big deal" was a bait and switch and I was appalled.

He took measurements. He looked at the chimney and said the job would require a lot of scaffolding and seems dis-interested in doing the work. When he left, he said he would send me an estimate via email. I never heard back from them and never received an email. He could have told me he would not do the work instead of just not following up.

I was contacted by Juliano the day I purchased the Big Deal. I provided an overview of the project and received an appointment within a week. Two workers arrived at the designated date/time and began working right away. Raphael was the foreman and ensure the day's taks were well organzized to make most efficient use of their time. The work was performed efficiently and with great skill followed by a thorough clean up of the work area. The workers arrived with all the necessary materials and tools and clearly and proficiently addressed all questions I raised regarding the project. I would definitely use their services again and am awaiting a quote for resetting some pavers around a pool deck.
