Doctor Pavers is a company specialized: in Brick pavers, Blue stone walkway, Steps, Stoops, Stair case, Stucco, and all kind stone work, we also do concrete. We are a company that focus on a job a time, which will be done in a timely manner, and with extreme quality.
They kept in contact with me via email throughout the whole process. They were very nice, prompt and professional. Four hours after repairing the concrete walls we had a severe thunderstorm that washed away some of the new concrete because it hadn't finished setting. When I emailed him the next day to let him know what happened they immediately sent the crew back out to repair the wall and reset it without complaint. It was a pleasure doing business with them. I will definitely use them again!
Description of Work: They repaired 2 concrete walls, removed loose stucco, installed new wire mesh and reset the concrete on my blue stone patio.

The owner Roberto is a very nice gentleman, I enjoy speaking with him. Roberto came to our house three times for the estimate, and was very patient discussing color choice with us. Scheduling is a little tougher as they have a lot of customers/projects in queue, but after few email exchanges, we were able to get the time slot we want. On the starting day, Roberto and his crew showed up on time and got to work right away. The whole crew were very friendly and answered my questions all the time. The work took two days and was done professionally. One the first day, after removal of the side walkway (next to driveway), there was nothing underneath, I asked them for suggestion, and decided to add a small curb project to make connection between garden and driveway look nice. They were able to finish that along with the main project in time. We are very happy with the finish, and the front walkway looks great now. We will definitely use their service again for future stone projects.
Description of Work: After last winter, our front walkway was cracking, and we decided that it is time to replace it. Dr Pavers helped us to replace the front walkway with Cambridge pavers. They also helped us remove most of our side walkway and added curb after removal.

They did an excellent job. We changed our steps from bluestone to just concrete/masonry. The men were clearly professionals who took great pride in their work. They worked in a very organized, methodical, and neat way. The cleanup/removal of debris was great. These men did great initial demolition and then preparation of the steps using special adhesives and wire mesh supports. They were very hardworking and conscientious.

We were most satisfied with All contacts with Dr Pavers, Ben and Geraldo who did the work were proficient and pleasant and with hard work finished project in one day rather than 2 days as projected. Price was fair as compared to others. Call back for minor touch up was responded to immediately. Telephone contacts were returned expeditiously. I would certainly recommend Dr Pavers to as true professionals and use them again.

Everything went very well, from the estimate to completion. The crew was professional and pleasant to work with. They were careful of surrounding areas and even managed to keep our invisable fence intact. They were quick to respond to our emails and took time during the project to answer our questions and concerns. They also had a few excellent suggestions that enhanced the outcome but didn't add to the final bill. They showed up when they said they would, and kept us informed about scheduling changes as weather caused some minor delays. I was very impressed with the way they left the job. Everything was swept clean and every bit of debris was removed. They even swept out our garage where they had been storing some of their tools. We will see how well their work holds up after this coming winter...but for now we couldn't be happier with the results.
Description of Work: We had our large and badly damaged concrete driveway torn out and replaced, a patio redone with stone pavers, our front porch and walkway repaired, and a number of damaged sidewalk slabs replaced.

All went extremely well! They did a fantastic job! Roberto was extremely patient with my many questions and very responsive. I am a very diligent and fussy customer and all my concerns were always immediately addressed. The work was started and completed on schedule. The workers were very professional and courteous. And the excellent results are proof of their high level of skill. It really was a delight dealing with Doctor Pavers!

They were on time courteous. Did not charge me for work I didn't need
The crew did an outstanding job. They went above and beyond the call of duty. For example, when they leveled the soil around the house to create the patio, it revealed that there was a pre-exsting gap in the exterior stucco wall of the house of a few inches from the ground. They offered to fill it in at no additional charge, which I greatly appreciated. They also removed a bunch of little ugly rocks the previous owners had put all along the side of the house. Doctor Pavers will certainly be my first call the next time I need any masonry or paving work done!

driveway pavers

On March 7th, 2014 I received a written estimate from Fernando, owner of Doctor Pavers 2 Mack Place, Bethpage NY 11714, telephone #(631) 901-9450. The estimate included extending my exisiting driveway up to 22 feet wide, building a belgium block apron at street end of driveway, relocating existing belgium block to be consistent with the width of driveway, break up and repave exisitng black top driveway. In addition to above driveway work, he was to rebuild chimney top above roof line because of a few broken bricks, and some mason work; and lastly to repair/replace a few broken bricks on my front stoop. He stated how busy he was and wouldn't be able to get to me until beginning of July which was fine because I was having a bathroom remodeled and wanted the dumpster used for that project off the driveway before it was ripped up. A few days later I called Fernando and informed him I wanted to go through with the work agreed to on the written estimate which was tentatively scheduled for the first or second week of July 2014. The work started a few days late which was fine. When the front stoop was completed I brought to his attention a few areas that to me appeared the mortar was flaking, coming out and sloppy, uneven edngework (which was never corrected). When Fernando first came back to look at the stoop he downplayed it and said it was fine. I also informed and showed him the mess that was left on the brick walkway leading to the steps and he said that will wash away with time. At the same time some of his crew was repairing the chimney while the others were breaking up/taking away the old blacktop andwidening the driveway. His crew then leveled the driveway by eye after using crushed rock, a one ton bag of small rocks, as a foundation for the new blacktop. They looked to me like small edged rocks. The driveway was then left to settle for a few weeks and on or about August 16th, 2014 the blacktop was then put down by a firm HE subcontracted with. I was told not to park vehicles for ten days and I gave it over two weeks before I removed the yellow caution tape placed at end of driveway. About a week or so later after a heavy rain, I took notice of the driveway and saw indented tire tread marks throughout driveway. I calle dFernando a few times and whn he finally called back he said he would take a look, and minimized my conersn stating "how bad could it be if you first noticed it when driveway was wet?" I also brought to his attention the pitch was off leaving puddles to sit in the same place without getting down to curb. He stated just because the water ppols in one spot doesn't mean anything is wrong with the pitch or levelness of the driveway. Again excuses and saying it was normal. At one point I even parked my SUV in an area in the newly blacktopped driveway a bit further from my house and place chalk marks where my tires made contact with the blacktop. When I moved my car the next morning it was raining and saw and felt new track indentations on the driveway within the chalk marks where my tires sat. At the same time I was hving these issues, my boss was having the same problem of faulty asphalt with a different company. Finally Fernando agreed to come back with the owner of the company HE subcontracted it out to and re-insect the blacktop that was put down. While I could not understand their conversation that was in Spanish, Fernando translated for me that the owner of the subcontracting company finally came out and admitted to Fernando that the asphalt was faulty and that the driveway was to be ripped up again and this time they were going to use airport grade blacktop that he said uses more rock and would look a bit lighter and look more like the street, pointing to the street at the same time. On September 27th, 2014 I spoke with Fernando about a new date to rip up and re-blacktop the first job. When I questioned what would be used for the base, Fernando said I might not need crushed rocks or concrete under the new asphalt-the crew would make the layer of asphalt deeper. Since this didn't sound right I did research and was told by a Town of Babylon road crew that the subsurcace of crushed rock/concrete is necessayr in order for asphalt to adhere to the surface. If subsurface isn't properly set, the driveway will not last. When the faulty asphaltwas removed I saw a significant amount of crushed roc pulle dup and removed with the asphalt. I questioned Fernando about that over the phone and he said it didn't mater and that you really don't even need the crushed rock under the asphalt to adhere properly. Funny, but this was the opposite of what he first said when he gave me the job estimate; and if true, why was 1 ton of crused rock used as a foundation under the first blacktop? October 20th, 2014, the driveway was redone and almost immediately I noticed that the pitch was off and after two weeks started parking my vehicles in driveway. Almost immediately I noticed the same thing happening as in the first time blacktop was ocmpleted. Tire tracks indents forming each time the cars were parked on the newly installed blacktop. Got Fernando to come back and look at both the new blacktop and the mortar work again on the front stoop and this time he agreed to have his guys re-apply mortar to a few areas, but continued dismissing my concerns about the sinking of the asphalt as cars were parked in driveway leaving track marks each time vehicles were parked. Again, he ket saying I was overreacting and that this is normal and won't be seen a year from now when driveway should be seal coated. When I brought up the fact that this asphalt was just as bad as the first one and not the higher quality airport grade descrived and promised, Fernando had no response. Fast forward to Spring of 2015, 6 months after faulty asphalt was replaced with faulty asphalt, not airport quality asphalt, new tire tread marks appear and can be felt whenever a vehnicle sits for a period of time. In addition, I changed the housing that my garden hose is rolled onto about a month ago, which is over 6months after blacktop asphalt was laid down and I have an indent over 1/2 inch deep from where the garden hose housing that weighs less than 30 pounds when hose has water in it. Again, 6 months after blackto was placed in driveway I am still having these sining problems. I'm afraid to see what will happen when the hot summer days arrive and heat the driveway even more. I even have a weed growing in the center of the asphalt. During the entire experience, Fernando who at first came over with high resect and professionalism did a total 180 after the problems arrived. He no longer retruned calls promptly like he previously had. He would never take any responsibility for his crew's work and constantly state I was overreacting. He finally amitted the asphalt that was first placed down was faulty when HIS subcontractor admitted it. Before that he kept saying the job was completed properly. Lie after lie how good the job was done and that I was overreacting an that the pitch was fine, blah, blah, blah. He even made a statement that a little water getting in between the bricks on my front stoop through the gaps in the mortar would not affect the safety r lifespan of the steps. I felt safer before he worked on the front stoop that I do now. The primary reason I had the stoop repaired was for cosmetics. I invite anyone to email me and I will gladly show them the work that was done. I am limited to the amount of pictures (10) I can place on this review but can provide over a hundred before, during and after pictures upon request. The pictures posted are pictures of the driveway and front stoop as they look now. (I tried myself to put some mortar on my steps in a couple of spots because of gaps and did not match color up well so that it is easily noticed in a couple of spots where I, not Fernando's crew tried filling gaps in the mortar, but Doctor Pavers poor workmanship easily shows in these pictures. LOOK AT THESE PICTURES, YOU JUDGE. DOCTOR PAVERS paperwork gives his Suffolk License as 50439-H and his NAssau County license as H2217160000 and an address of 2 MACk Place, Bethpage, NY 11724. Roberto and his crew arrived at my house promptly at 7:30am as promised. They went to work immediately and worked nonstop until 4:45pm completing the job in one day rather than the two days he had estimated. The price remained the same but I am satisfied since it was completed in a very professional manner and it looks great. It certainly wasn't the least expensive estimate I had received but the price is reflected in the quality of the work. Job Well Done......I will use them again and would definitely recommend them to friends.

The work was very well done. The end result looks beautiful and we are very happy with the work that was done. Roberto and crew were professional, responsive, communicated effectively, and cleaned up after themselves. They are clearly very skilled masons that do excellent work. We are having them return later this month to do a second job. I would highly recommend them without reservation.
Description of Work: repointed stone wall and steps- new mortar in all joints. Repaired crumbled steps. re-laid bluestone and filled all joints with fresh mortar. Replaced broken bluestone.
It went great. Roberto had the best price of the 4 masons I interviewed, but he also did a great job. His crew showed up in force right when they were supposed to, worked for 4 straight days (even through the rain), and cleaned up after themselves. The final product looks great; I was very impressed with the quality and artistry of the new walkway and landing. I would definitely recommend them.
