B&B CONSOLIDATED

We have an unresolved complaint registered against them with the Better Business Bureau of Buffalo, NY (complaint ID #0D7BF-0886C-09467-68737-41F32-AC175-5B) They caused damage to a newly installed baseboard heating system & woodwork original to the house. Chunks of plaster and debris was discovered in the new replacement window tracks, in and behind the new baseboard heaters and all over the woodwork. Extremely poor quality drywall finishing & painting. Obvious brush marks, trowel marks, holes, dry wall tape visible, paint drips on the walls and floors, dimensional streaks on a ceiling and un-primed areas. Drywall compound on the wood floors and door and window trim. They left an opening in the ceiling for a light fixture 8" off center. Drywall screws popped in the ceiling & walls when the electrician installed a ceiling fan and had to cut an opening for a wall outlet that was drywalled over. Invoices with the same invoice number kept changing what was listed on them and the amount due. Kirk Brickwood never paid the electrician he subcontracted his last $500 (which we paid Kirk. We've had the electrician back to do more work as he was very professional and his work excellent and to date Kirk still owes him $500 from our debacle) We tried to get Kirk & Guy Brickwood, DBA B & B Consolidated to address the issues but Kirk Brickwood's response was a lien against our home. Rather than risk our credit rating we paid it and reported them to the Better Business Bureau. We could have taken them to small claims court but decided to just move on. We are in the midst of a whole house renovation and don't want to waste more energy on B & B Consolidated. We've worked with a variety of contractors through this whole house renovation including roofers, plumbers, gutter and siding installers, kitchen cabinet installers, kitchen bath and lighting designers, electricians, heating and cooling contractors, and general contractors. No one else has let us down. If there was an issue it was addressed immediately and resolved to our satisfaction. To us this is more evidence of Mr. Brickwood's unethical and unprofessional behavior.
