John was very prompt in responding to my call and letting me know how much the service would cost. He did not try to push any additional services, even ones where I suggested he may want to have a look and let me know if I needed something extra done. All in all, he performed the job that needed to be done promptly and at a good price. I would recommend his services to others.

John showed up about 45 minutes after I called him! We were so happy as it was peak season and other companies could not book us for 8-10 weeks.

Finally hit the jackpot!

Royal Chimney and Gutter Service/ John Lindsay never showed up. After scheduling the date days in advance, I ended up waiting at home all day for John to show up. He was supposed to show up first thing Monday morning. I spoke with him that morning and he told he had a hold up and was planning on coming between 11-2. I cancelled all my plans and stayed home to wait for John. It was not until 4pm and after repeated phone calls and texts, John let me know via text "not today". When I told him that I was disappointed and to cancel the service, he smugly replied via text, "oh well." Buyer beware... if you are looking for prompt, professional service - look elsewhere!

My husband and I moved into a fairly old house and wanted to have our chimney and fireplace checked out before we use them later in the winter. John called me back shortly after I left him a voicemail, and he came over the next day to check things out. He didn't charge us for the evaluation (most other providers do). He definitely knows this stuff inside and out, and he also told us that everything was in good shape and that we didn't even need it cleaned, saying that he only cleans dirty chimneys. I really appreciated his honesty and knowledge on the subject, and we'll definitely be calling him in the future once it's time to have our chimney cleaned.

He answered the phone on first try, made appointment for later that morning. Texted me when he was 15 minutes away. He was very honest and told me that the fireplace didn't need cleaning. I wanted to be reassured. I would highly recommend. Very nice and honest.

I called, he answered, after conversation he asked me to text him the address. He texted me when he was 20 minutes out. Very pleasant- professional-I would definitely use him in a couple of years as he suggested.

John was very thorough and helpful. He came out on a Saturday to look at everything (on very short notice) and came back on Sunday to do the sweep and fix our cap. He is very honest and didn't make us do any unnecessary sweeps or replace our chimney cap that was damaged. He fixed the chimney cap instead, saving us money. He even replaced our broken light bulb in our flood light as he was up on the roof anyhow. He showed up when he said he would and notified us via text when he was on his way. Great communication. He cleaned up after he was done. I highly recommend Royal Chimney.

We called him once every year and this is the third year we had him. He is knowledgeable about wood stoves and chimney and does a good job.
