CALICO CORNERS

Awful job on the curtains. My husband and I are very disappointed with the way they handled the curtains on our french doors. These french doors are located in a room with a low ceiling. The clearance is 2.125" between ceiling and the top of the door. We discussed this tight clearance with the calico rep; we needed curtains that would be flush mounted with the ceiling. The calico corners rep assured us that Calico had the hardware mount we needed to clear the door. After two visits to measure the curtains were installed. The installer was saying goodbye when my husband inspected the job and noted that it was obvious that the door couldn't open because the curtain rod was blocking the door. My husband called the installer back in. The guy then bent the rod so it bowed in the middle in order to allow the door to open....hmmm. The Calico installer had an idea how to fix it but didn't have the tools with him at the time. When he returned he installed hardware that he had jerry rigged with a hand drill – he had to cut a larger (jagged) hole in the cuff of the ceiling mount. The cuff with the newly enlarged hole was installed lopsided and revealed the underlying hardware through a large gap on the side. The calico installer screwed this cuff into the ceiling using hex screws (see photo). And to top it off the door still rubbed. Also, as an aside, the installer used an industrial hex head screw as a side anchor for the curtains (see photo) and the screw sticks out about 3/8". We called our rep and wrote emails complaining. I looked online and found flush mount hardware with a 1" profile but I was informed that Calico doesn't carry it and wouldn't install it for us even if I bought it. We requested our installation money back. Calico sent over a new installer to review the work and recommend next steps to correct any mistakes. This guy insisted that the project was well executed AND he he stated that door did not rub against the curtain rod (see photos). You be the judge.

The couch and chairs were perfect. They did have to do a remake on the ottoman. They had mistaken the side of the cushion for the front, and that was the fabric pattern they matched with the cushion top. I pointed out the error, and they were quick to offer an expedited remake at no cost to me.

They are a chain. They were very reasonable and they were fast. They cleaned up after themselves.

IT WAS JUST FINE. THEY DID WHAT THEY SAID THEY WERE GOING TO DO. THEY TOOK A LITTLE BIT LONGER THAN I THOUGHT THEY WOULD TAKE. THE PRICE WAS A LITTLE HIGH AS WELL.

IT WAS VERY GOOD. THEY DO GOOD QUALITY WORK THERE. THEY HAVE A SELECTION OF ALL THEIR MATERIALS. THEY DO EXCELLENT WORKMANSHIP, AND THEY ARE VERY PROFESSIONAL. THEY ALSO HAVE A VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE STAFF.

IT WAS EXCELLENT. THEY ARE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND DO GOOD QUALITY WORK. THEY ARE VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE, POLITE AND FRIENDLY. THEY HAVE BEEN A BUSINESS IN OUR AREA FOR YEARS. THEY ARE ONE OF THE BEST IN THE COUNTY. WE HAVE HEARD GOOD THINGS FROM OTHER PEOPLE AS WELL.

THEY ARE VERY GOOD. WE HAVE USED THEM FOR A NUMBER OF YEARS. WHAT YOU DO IS, YOU PICK OUT WHAT MATERIAL YOU WANT TO USE, AND THEY SEND SOMEONE OUT, THEY PICK OUT THE FURNITURE AND SHIP OUT THE WORK. IT COMES BACK LATER. WITHIN THE WHOLE PROCESS AT THE STORE, YOU DEAL WITH SOME VERY PROFESSIONAL GUYS, AND THE PEOPLE THAT PICK UP THE FURNITURE ARE VERY PROFESSIONAL, TOO.

AT FIRST THE DRAPES IN LIVING ROOM WITH 17 FOOT CEILINGS DID NOT FIT, AND IT TOOK THEM 3 WEEKS TO REMAKE THE NEW ONE. WHEN THEY BROUGHT IT BACK THEY DID NOT OFFER ANY DISCOUNT FOR THE INCONVENIENCE.
