+ -1 moreThe guy who came told me that my garage door had been installed incorrectly and that he wouldn't be able to fix the problem because it needed a whole new garage door and door opener at a cost of $1,700. I took his card and told him I would think about it. After he left, I decided to give it a shot by reprogramming my automatic door opener, and literally 10 minutes after he left, I fixed the problem by following simple directions on a web page. The garage door and the automated opener have been working perfectly ever since. I am so glad I did not follow his advice and fork over $1,700. I am going to assume it was just an honest mistake, because my contacts with the office made me feel that this is a trustworthy company. But the guy who came should have at least taken a shot at trying to help me solve the problem before advising such an expensive solution.
Description of Work: I called them to do a tune-up on my garage door because the automatic door opener had stopped working.

Five minutes after he left I had it working again by climbing a ladder and resetting my opener while following a YouTube video. It’s been working perfectly for more than a year since. He could have at least tried to get it working for me before claiming my system needs a total replacement. The woman who handled my phone calls in the office, however, was very courteous, friendly, and professional.

Description of Work: He charged more than what they told me it would cost. What they advertised was a little misleading and I needed more "parts" that ended up costing considerably more (which rubbed me wrong). The work was fine. Within an hour their was a problem with the repair but I called the company and they came right back and fixed it.

+ -1 moreThe salesman was great. He helped me put the door back on the track and close the garage up; which was a huge help. The workmen who did all of the paid work was terrific too! He made sure that everything was programmed properly and that I understood everything about the new system. The whole experience convinced me to use them again in the future when we replace the old door.
