Tim explained the project details in advance and how this should alleviate basement flooding. Tim and crew, excavated to below slab on 2 sides of house per plan; repaired cracks and holes in foundation, applied waterproofing and perimeter drainage with pump. Backfilled and leveled work site and seeded grass. Crew was professional and hard working. First rainfall few days later showed everything working perfectly.

I was pleasantly surprised at how professional and knowledgeable everyone was. They are by far the best contractor I have ever hired. Even though they were working while I was away, they finished on time, left everything the way they found it if not better, and did a great job. To summarize quickly, I cannot speak highly enough of Diggs Building Technologies. I am absolutely blown away by what they accomplished and would hire them again without hesitation. Worth every penny. For the past 5 years, I have been restoring/rennovating a 1890 Balloon Frame Colonial in Tillson, NY. While the original house foundation was extremely well built and well-mainted, I canâ t say that much about the 2 story enclosed porch put on in the 1920â sâ ¦ The foundation was crumbling; the first floor walls were bowing out and the floor had settled 3+ inches. To further complicate the matter, all the mechnicals of the house (water, sewage, and gas) ran through that back porch foundation making the project extremely complex in scope. Despite these massive issues on the first floor, the 2nd floor of the porch was in great shape and it was important for us to find a builder who could rebuild the entire bottom half of the structure while also preserving the top. This was no small feat. Much to my surprise, Tim and his crew (alongside their engineer) were able to do just that. With precision, they navigated the mechanicals, removed the old foundation and floor and then went on to replace both of those elements. While doing this, the room above stayed untouched. Not one crack on the walls, not one bow in the floor, and shockingly - all 4 of the original casement windows still opened and close. Overall, they did an excellent job and I would hire them without hesitation again. If you are dealing with any foundation issues, I encourage you to hire Tim, Jake, and Jesse. They are the only team I would trust doing this type of work.

Tim, Jake and Jesse were phenomenal to work with! They performed structural repair to the box beam and main beam. They showed up early everyday and worked diligently to finish the job to a high quality standard. Their customer service and reliability can't be beat. Guys came in and worked. No lollygagging or long breaks or any of that just plowed through on a dirty two-day job and their work made me feel a heck of a lot better about the structure of our home. Did great work. The only complaint is that they did not repair a small basement window casing that they pried open to get materials to the basement. I am sure had I contacted them they would have come back and fixed it, but it was not anything nice to begin with and I was able to repair myself pretty easily so I never even brought it to their attention.

Tim had initially come over for the installation of a French drain on the side of the house, but instead uncovered that our foundation had receded away from the house due to past water damage. He immediately stepped into gear explaining every detail to me and gave me a quote for the amount of work that needed to be done. When it rained my basement would get 2-3 inches of water. Tim and his team redirected all of the drain pipes (5 in all), reshaped the slope of the land surrounding my house, planted grass seed, and left the yard spotless. Now my basement is drier than Arizona in mid-July. These guys are pros, they finished in a day. It was a pleasure to see these men work! Their price was more than fair. You can't go wrong with DIGGS! Tim Hillman and his team were great to work with. I have a 105 year old house, which had an addition built over 40+ years ago, over a crawl space. The foundation of the addition had become unstable & the main support beam under the original part of the house had some bowing. Tim contacted me in less than 24 hours & came over to assess the situation. He determined that it was a two part problem. He could do phase 1 now & the other part in the Spring. He gave me a written estimate for phase 1, which I accepted. Within two weeks, the phase 1 project, which included a new steel support beam under the crawl space & stabilization of the main support beam of the original house, was completed. This type of work is not cheap; but, Tim gave me a very fair price. He did everything that he said that he was going to do; and, he did it well. He worked quickly and he stayed in constant communication with me. I really appreciated his service; and, I look forward to working with him in the Spring on Phase 2 of this project.

On time to the point did not miss a single detail in repairs and explained everything so that you understand the work that he did and the guarantee of his work.

+Tim was the only pro who contacted me and made an appointment to inspection the house foundation and driveway adjacent to the foundation where the leaking was occurring. He looked at the pitch of the yard behind the house and from the driveway to the house. After a thorough inspection outside the house, he and his son Jake went into the basement to see where the water leaking was most prevalent. Following these two inspections he made verbal recommendations to correct the problems . He followed this up with written proposal for the work, along with a cost estimate. After receiving this, I sent him a detailed email with questions about the proposal, which he promptly answered, to my satisfaction and I agreed to have him do the work. On the agreed start date, he was on time with his excavator and crew of 2 to start the project. Weather was a factor and I was amazed how quickly they did the foundation repair, built a temporary wooden step with small deck into the back door of the house and laid the underground conduit for the electric power to the garage. There have been several heavy rain falls since this project was completed and the water leak is gone. The driveway project is scheduled for Spring 2020 when the weather will be more conducive to replacing the driveway. Tim was a true professional from beginning to end on this job. We had an 1870s rear foundation wall with a water problem that everyone else kept telling us to spray foam and forget about. Tim was the only one who we felt really had an understanding of how to permanently fix our water issue. Out of all the contractors we have worked with on our Victorian house restoration, we found Tim from Diggs Building Technologies to be the most knowledgeable in his field. He is an old school iron worker with an intense understanding of structure. In addition, he is not scared of hard work and to do things the right way. From the start, he was not scared off from the difficulties our foundation project presented -- poor excavating access over a 9 foot retaining wall, no driveway for brining in or removing fill. Nor did he back down when we discovered an old cistern trapping water near the foundation, an unexpected and unwelcome surprise. With Tim's expertise, the project kept rolling. All of Tim's team members are extremely professional, kind, polite and hardworking. If structural knowledge and attention to finer details (he even cleaned our my gutters after he found them to be running slowly after a rain storm) are what you are after, then hire Tim immediately.
