+ -1 moreThey were pricey. They have different groups of people that work for them and your experience depends on which group you get. The group that did my lawn was okay, but they are pricey. Their standards are fine. It is a huge operation and if there is a problem they will come back and fix it. I switched to another provider because of their pricing, as I do not think their price is worth it. The quality of their service is good. Regarding responsiveness, they came out immediately and they were very good. I considered going back to them this year, but they are double of what I am paying right now.
Description of Work: Steve's Lawn, Inc., just did maintenance of my lawn.

+ -1 moreGreat company for customer service. I had to leave them this year due to the increase in their prices. Wish they had a different approach to home owners vs business owners. The economy is really bad for all of us .
Description of Work: Had been with them for several years for lawn cutting of grass weekly and leaf removal yearly with spring clean up as well . Over the years the prices were just sky rocketing high and this past year 2012 they were very late with my leaf pickup. I had to call the day before thanksgiving for all the leaves were at my property still. They were very respectful and removed the leaves as promised promptly that day . Great customer service and attention. I just had to find someone else to do my grass cutting this year for the prices were just too too high for a small home that I have. Felt like I was being billed like business customers were. I was able to find someone to do my grass cutting for a more reasonable rate this season 2013 . Over all I was happy when I was with them and would recommend them to anyone . Steve the owner I met many years ago when I first started with them and he is very personable . A pleasure to do business with .

+ -1 moreHe hasn't done any work yet but he was very attentive. He was able to give me some conceptual drawings without any charge. He came himself and walked me through the process. The only reason I haven't used him is because I am putting off the project until next year but he is definitely one of the companies that I want to consider.
Description of Work: I consulted with Steve's Lawn to redesign my back lawn and he gave me an estimate.

+ 0 moreI spend about $200 a month. I like Steve because of the fact that I had the same crew for the past five years, so they know my property and they are respectful of what they do, and they clean up after themselves after work. He just hires right people to work.
Description of Work: I have been using Steve's Lawn Inc. for almost eight years for landscaping, weekly grass cutting, and for full clean up. He does snow ploughing also. He comes every week.

+ -1 moreI like this company because they charge by the month instead of paying $39 for each grass cutting like other companies in the area, so I make out in the end when they cut the lawn 6 times in a month sometimes. On the other hand, this company is very lacking in service for special requests like scrub trimming and similar.
Description of Work: Grass cutting and lawn and landscaping maintenance. Approximate cost is per month.

+ -1 moreThe experience was unacceptable. They cleaned the yard once on 11/9 and were supposed to remove debris, to which I had to pay $100 for debrie removal. They charged me a prorated mowing of 32.50 in NOVEMBER. I would not recommend them.
Description of Work: Fall cleanup of yard which included removal of leaves and debris in the yard.

+ -1 moreI WAS UNHAPPY WITH A COUPLE OF THINGS THEY DID, BUT THEY CAME BACK AND REPLACED IT. THEY WERE GOOD. STEVE CAME AND SUPERVISED HIMSELF. HE WAS RESPONSIVE OF WHAT I WANTED. HE SPENT A LOT OF TIME ON IT AND MADE SURE IT WAS CORRECT THE SECOND TIME AROUND.
Description of Work: THEY REDID THE BACK LAWN AND DID SOME PLANTING. THEY RE-SODED THE BACK YARD.
