Mr Dolan made an appt for 11a, Sunday to come to our house to give an estimate on masonry work we are looking to have done. Mr Dolan DID NOT have the courtesy to call to give an explanation, even today 6/9/14 no call. If he wasn't interested, we wish he would have said so, so we could find someone professional and reliable, instead of wasting our. shows you cant trust Angies List. too bad

Description of Work: J.D. Masonry gave us a contract in April 2010 for masonry work outside our home. The work that was done was to remove one patio section and put in a new one. This was done properly. The rest of the patio was to have a coating put on the top of the cement. They also put a cement coating on the back wall of our home. They fixed a few bricks by our walkway and recoated our front stoop. We made a very big mistake by not getting any other estimates. J.d. Masonry wanted a $200 deposit before we would sign the contract. Unfortunately, we gave him the $200 in advance. J.D. Masonry came and did the job in July 2010. We paid for everything in full. During the winter of 2011, the coating that was put on our back patio began to crack. We called J.D. Masonry in March of 2011. He first said he would come when the weather would get better. We did not hear from the owner, Jack Dolan. We kept calling. He said he was coming in June. He never came. We called him back. He said he needed to go to other jobs that paid him money first. We had our home for sale. He knew this and still never came back to fix anything. We were not able to sell our home. The patio is still in need of repair. We are selling our home with patio in as is condition. We had to lower our price with our new buyers.

Description of Work: I called Jack from JD Masonry to come and give me a price on my kitchen back splash. The back splash is approx. 30 sq ft. All glass tile. For all the supplies and his services it came to 1500.00. He was punctual. If he was running late he would call and notified me. I ran out of tiles so we had to finish the job the following weekend. He showed up and finished the job. I found him to be trust worthy. I hired him months ago to do my front walkway and I called him back to get a price on the tile work. The rest is history.

Description of Work: I needed my front walkway removed and redone. The debris was quite a lot. The walkway is long and on an incline going up to the house. The original walkway had seven somewhat long steps. Now it has only four longer steps which makes the step up less awkward. After speaking with JD Masonry, my husband and I decided to do the concrete stamping throughout the walkway and up on the patio by the front of the house. The patio is the full length of the house. It looks great. JD Masonry kept my property neat while working and repaired anything that was disturbed by his project.. We have received many compliments on the front of our home. We are truly happy with his work..
