I have had them for years. I haven’t had any issues with them, they do good work, it’s a small company and they are local. They are reliable. They will call me a half house before they come so I can meet them at the house. I have an annual contract for oil and maintenance. They are very professional. All Work was performed as Expected. VERY Clean Job. The Men Cleaned up Nicely. The Men were Very Polite. Everyone From Donald all the Way Down, were very Helpful.

They are very reliable. They are very practical in advising you if you call them with a question. They seem to know their field.

Our household income dropped from well over $100,000 to $40,000 annually when the main source of income was lost, for the second time in 6 n years - and stayed that way for two very long and difficult years. Like millions of other Americans, we managed by deciding what bills we should pay, and which ones we couldn't. This resulted in a miserable credit score. Fortunately, we are back on our feet with our income restored. Since I have been dealing with Windsor's sister company, Mineola Fuel on a C.O.D. basis for a couple of years now, but they don't offer service contracts and they referred me to Windsor.A gentleman came to my home, and explained the details of their plan. The price including oil and the including service contract was locked in at $3.69/9, The representative checked the system, I signed the contract,A couple of days later, I get a letter in the mail stating that due to my credit report I was considered a risk they were unable to take. I called and spoke with the credit manager, Jim, very nice man, and he told me that he understood the circumstances but he still had to have his manager review the situation. He promised he would call back the following day. That call didn't come, so I called him and was advised that the manager hadn't gotten back to him yet, but he would definitely call me today. I called back an hour and a half later and Jim told me there was nothing he could do for me. Here is my point, if I would have been told that this depended on a credit check, I would not have wasted their time. I understand and respect their policy, I asked for an exception based on my loyalty as a COD customer with their sister company (the oil was normally delivered in a Windsor truck) and they wouldn't budge. I have already taken my business elsewhere, with a family owned company who were more considerate of the plight of unemployed Long Island teachers and the economic situation that the Island faces should it become totally unaffordable to the average homeowner.

Do not use this company. I call Windsor and requested to cancel my automatic delivery account. I spoke to a young lady named Lucy on 6/24/10. She stated that I need to send an email for the cancelation and I did. I specificaly stated in my email to cancel my account and to discontinue all oil deliveries. Later that week (on 6/24/10), I spoke to Jim Martino, and stated the same to him. I thought I was done with Windsor Oil. Guess what? I wasn't done with them. In late November of 2010, I get an oil delivery from Windsor Oil. Thank goodness it was only for approximately 20 gallons. Three to four days prior to Windsor's delivery, I received a delivery from a reputable oil company and my oil tank was almost full. I called Lucy and then Jim Martino. To make a long story short, Jim Martino threatened to sue me and to send me to colections if I didn't pay for the delivery. I settled the invoice with Windsor and moved on. And yes, the price I settled per gallon was way above the market price and the price I locked in with another oil company but I didn't want to deal with Windosr or Jim Martino anymore. Jim Martinio is a very rude and arrogent person and nobody should do business with Jim Martino and Windsor. In addition, Mineola Fuel Oil Corp is owned and operated by the same rude and arrogent people at Windsor. So, do not do business with Windsor Oil and Mineola Fuel Oil and both located on Windsor Ave in Mineola NY.

On July 30, 2011, I had the same problem again. i called them on August 1st and they said because it it been 2 months I would have to pay for a service call of approximately $115 and any parts again. The lady in the office asked how I would pay and I said credit card and she said OK. Several hours later, a service man showed up with a oil burner truck with the name and quot;Nuzziand quot; on it. Before even looking at my burner, the serviceman said that you know that you have to pay cash. I said that the lady had said that I could pay by credit card. He said the he had to go to the truck to call the office although I offered my house phone. He then returned and said that it had to be cash. When I asked how much; he said that he didn't know but that it was $115 per hour plus parts. I stated that the lady had said credit card and that I would have to go to the bank. The repairman said that he would have to charge me for that time too! In the end, he walked out without any additional work being done.

Someone was sent within hours, which was great. The technician identified the problem (at least I think he did) but ultimately didn't fix it - he said the unit had frozen and needed to dry out to become operational again. I had the distinct impression that the tech could have done more, but, because it was late in the season for a/c (something he pointed out more than once) and the unit is difficult to access, he really didn't want to be bothered! I agreed to simply let the unit dry out on its own and paid for the service call, but was less than happy with the experience.

I had an overall excellent experience with the company and four technicians sent. They arrived at 9:00 AM , as scheduled, and worked throughout the day. The installation of the units required the construction of a myriad of copper tubing, pressure valves, shut off valves, couplings, supply line, smoke pipe, etc. The workers were very knowledgeable and courteous. They cleaned up and removed all of the debris at the end of the day and left the area in a much better condition than it had been in when they arrived. (The old water heater had begun to leak) They waited and tested the new system to make certain that everything was working properly before leaving. The job was completed shortly before 5:00. I should also add that this company has been supplying my oil for many years with the same prompt, efficient and courteous service.

Windsor Oil is an excellent company. I don't have to remind them to come. I'm impressed with their professionalism and promptness. I think this is the best fuel oil company around. The people I've dealt with who work there are always polite and courteous.
