I called their office on March 3, requesting an appointment for an estimate. Was told by receptionist that someone would be calling me within the next 48 hours to make an appointment. Never heard from them again.

They were good. They're not cheap but for around New York and Queens it's not too bad. They're about the only people I could recommend highly. It was a couple thousand dollars and the work was excellent, it was really good. They were very clean and they, I had a problem with the storm door wasn't closing or it was broken and the lock on the door, this was after the job and they actually sent somebody, I called them up and I think one of their mechanics to look at it. The mechanic says that it's not their fault, it's the manufacturers fault. So I thought we were out of luck but they have a representative in the area once a month or so and sure enough he came like they said a month later, well you know within a couple of weeks. The guy examined the door and he said I was right and the thing was a manufacture defect so essentially to make a long story short, they replace the whole glass storm door and screen all together. They were good with that job. They did a good, you know, the call back thing was cool, but they did, so I'm happy with that experience actually. I was actually more happy with it afterwards, you know, that they followed up and that's why I would recommend them in dealing with them. I would definitely use them again.

The provider was excellent. We were seen very quickly at Wendel's office and were able to conclude the purchase on our first visit. When the door was ready we were able to make an appointment that was convenient for us with no problem and the installer showed up precisely on time. Ours is an older home and the door jamb naturally has become out of alignment over time. The installer took the time (over an hour) to set and reset the door so that there was absolutely no gap (which existed on the previously installed door) and the door function smoothly and properly. Also, all debris was removed and the area was thoroughly cleaned. We would definitely use them again and certainly recommend them to others.

I had gone every where to look for a front entry door and storm door. When I finally decided on the particular doors I wanted, ProVia Sinet Entry door and Pro-Via Deluxe storm door, I again when searching for the perfect company to purchase and install my doors. When I got two estimates one double the price of the other, I decided to go directly to ProVia to ask for their dealer who installed most of their products and if they had a recommendation as to who I should use. Without hesitation, they recommend Home Center. I am so glad I listened to them. Anna the sales representative was wonderful. She was patient answering all my questions and concerns. She knew all about the ProVia doors and was able to answer questions that the other dealers could not. I purchased the doors July 18th and had them installed Aug 27th. I love them! And so does everyone who visits. The two gentlemen who came and installed the doors were prompt and professional. When I am ready to do the siding on my home, Wendal home Center will be my first phone call.

It went great! From start to finish. Met at the showroom where Doug explained everything to me. Their estimate was almost $600 less than another estimate I had received. He called to follow up which was really great. He came out to do measurements and was prompt and courteous. The installer was on time, polite and very efficient! He took away the old doors. They did warn me that sometimes new panels around the door have to be made and repainted, but that was not needed!! Would absolutely hire them again.

They were excellent. Their price was better than other people and it was fantastic.

We was very happy with them. They did a really nice job and the crew was really good. The price wise they are probably about the same as anybody else. They were not high or low they were right in the middle. There was a lot of work to be done. The way the houses were constructed they make a very long there was like a foam board that they attached instead of doing plywood I think so it became like a bigger job than it probably needed to be but the houses in the particular area on the antel where we live it is just the way they were dealt and so they had some extra work that they had to do so there lot of nails and garbage afterwards. I mean I can't blame them entirely as roofers I am sure contributed to that but with coming up to the summer and it is like I ask them to come back since we bought and they did, but they are not going to the job that I did to try to get all the jump ups. These guys they were pros. I think we had the A team. They finished right before the snowstorm. We were very very pleased with the job that they did. They also made good suggestions in terms of how where to the down spouts. We are going to use them again when we do our porch, but I have to wait a year to do it.

They did a nice job. It went very well.

Great arrived on time did a neat clean job. Took away old doors. Friendly , nice installers. Totally satisfied .

Well, the morning of my appointment, the employee arrived promptly at 8am. Actually, he called on the way to my home. He introduced himself, and completed the job. And, I am totally satisfied with no complains.

Prompt and efficient. They came when they said, and did what they said they would do. They walked me through the whole job to explain what and how it will be done. They were neat, and always cleaned up the area where they were working. I would (and will) use them for any work I might have in the future.

I called them in May to get an estimate for a new awning, since my old one came down during one of the Snow Storms last February. I dealt with Don Hoffman who was very nice and explained everything to me. We agreed on they type I wanted and the price and later another gentleman came and measured. On August 2, 2014, two workers came and installed the awning. They were very professional and cleaned everything up when they left. The awning I chose has an insulated roof and can be converted to a closed in porch in the future.

We had a sunroom installed by Wendel on 7/12/06. Installation went fine BUT now years later the whole roof leaks. Several years ago a repair man came out and caulked the area where the sunroom meets the house since at the time there was only a small leak which we were able pinpoint to this area. For the most part the issue was fixed but if we had a severe rain storm we still had leaks. This year the problem is back..not only is the original leak back but the seams of the insulated roof panels are leaking. It appears that the panels have separated a little bit. While both my husband and I understand that this could be a normal issue due to the age of the roof we reached out to Wendel to have repairs made to correct the leaking issues. My husband originally called and was advised that someone would call back. He never received a call back! He then called again last week and explained again what the issues are and was told that someone would be at our house this morning, They showed up but could not fix the problems since they did not have the appropriate materials with them. I cannot believe that they showed up without any materials when my husband specifically called twice and explained what the issues are. The serviceman spoke to my husband about two possible options for repairs but did not give him any quotes for the repair options. The serviceman also mentioned that we should have maintained the roof better. I explained to him that we never had a sunroom before and no one mentioned that the roof need regular maintence at the time of installation or during the consulation when we signed the contract on 4/3/06. He looked at me and said you check your windows on your house for leaks therefore you should check the sunroom. I have windows in my house for 15 years and never had to do any maintenance on them. If we were advised from the beginning that there this room required certain maintenance we certainly would have taken care of this on a regular basis. So now my husband once again has to call their office. In the meantime we are afraid that there maybe more rain before this issue is resolved and our furniture and flooring is going to get soaked again. Because of this we have put a tarp on our roof to protect our furniture and floor from any further water damage. We originally reached out to Wendel to ensure that the issues were corrected properly and we have gotten nowhere. We are very disappointed and I would not recommend Wendel to anyone based on the way they have handled this situation. At this time we still do not have a remedy for our situation and we do not no where to go for help At this time a representative from Wendel has spoken with my husband and we have a date of October 4th for repair work to be done. Will update again after the repairs are completed Repairs were done on October 21st and we have had several bad rain storms and no water!!

They are great to deal with. They sell quality material and stand by what they install. We are very pleased with our storm door. It is the best one that we have ever had. Dealing with them is so much better than large stores who subcontract. They take pride in their work.

The project went smoothly from start to finish. I stopped by Wendel Home Center after reading reviews on Angie's List. Don Hoffman showed me awnings on display right in the store as well as sample fabrics. He explained all the features and warranty details, along with giving me a general estimate of what it would cost, then set up an appointment for the following week to measure. He arrived promptly for our meeting, measuring and giving me an total cost which ended up to be slightly less than what we had spoken about in the store, as I needed a slightly smaller awning. We looked over sample fabrics. Don was extremely knowledgeable. He told me the final order would be processed in 3 days, and then my awning would be constructed by a company in Pennsylvania and ready for install in three weeks. Just under three weeks later I got a call from Anna to arrange for installation. She also called the night before the project to confirm. I was told to expect the installers to arrive between 9 and 11 am, and that the install would take about 3 hours. Arthur and Gabriel arrived at approx. 9:30 and were done by 11. They were polite, professional and knowledgeable about the project. They worked quickly and efficiently, cleaning up after themselves as they worked. Arthur made sure I understood the proper way to open and close my awning. It is easy to do! I chose a manual model as my awning is not overly large, but a motor could have been added for less than $700.00... A feature one might want for a larger awning. The finished product looks beautiful!! I think my neighbors will all be wanting one too :) I would recommend Wendel Home Center to anyone with a remodeling or home improvement project. They were friendly and easy to work with !

AWESOME! Freaking AWESOME JOB! My house is GORGEOUS! Complete siding, windows, pillars. Beautiful job! Ahhhh breath! OK, go wherever you have to go first. Get it out of your system, because when you get to Wendel Home Center it will be your last stop. Then again, why waste your time just go to Wendel Home Center first and save yourself the time and trouble. They are so nice with no pressure and always go the extra mile. Just easy and smooth. They are a family owned and operated business and make you feel like you are part of the family and when it’s all over you'll actually miss them. The whole staff is wonderful from the receptionists out front to the owners. (Beautiful showroom). The customer service is unbelievable and Bill Jr. (my contact) is a doll. He worked with me so patiently from start to finish, and believe me I can be very indecisive. You can always call with a question without feeling like you are annoying or that they're trying to avoid you. Remember, no renovation comes without its share of anxiety, but they were always able to assure me that it would all workout the way I wanted it to, and the best way, and it did. A problem is no problem for Wendel Home Center. I was very comfortable all the way through my renovation. If I sound like I’m tooting their horn, I am. Give credit where credit is due. Remember no matter what kind or quaity (price) of siding you choose or job you'er doing, the job is only as good as its installers. Wendel’s installers are experienced and knowledgeable and they all worked well together. I was introduced to the foreman before my job was started (that's a plus) and he was always on the premises and Bill Jr. often stopped by to make sure everything was going OK or if I called him. All in all, so far... perfect job! My neighbors keep asking who did my house. I still have doors to choose??? Anyway I'm done. Just go to Wendel Home Center and see for yourself. You've got nothing to lose and a great contractor to gain. I'm a happy camper.

I have had two jobs done by them. They were very good, thorough, listened to all my concerns and left samples. Before I had the service done they came to my house and talked about what I wanted done. I have recommended them many times.

They installed a retractable awning over my back patio. The job went great. The two man crew they sent did a beautiful job. Was neat and clean and left the house in the same condition as when they arrived. Cleaned up after themselves and removed all the rubbish. Did a great job at demonstrating the unit and looking forward to Spring and summer to take advantage of the awning. I used another Company Allure Home Improvements for a siding job and I should of went with Wendel Home Center.

We chose Wendel Home Center from local ads and Better Business Bureau ratings. We were unaware that they were on Angie's List until after we had made our choice. From the time we stepped into the showroom, until the job completion, we found the owner and employees to be very helpful, informative and concerned about listening to what we wanted and where a problem arose, explaining other options. Great effort and time was taken to make sure any questions we had were answered and explained, to our satisfaction. There were walk-throughs in the house, and photos taken so making choices during store visits were easier. There were explanations of exactly how the work would go. Measurements were taken on three different occasions. The job foreman was brought to our home and introduced and he did a final measurement. AWNING The order was placed on May 29, 2013. We had explained the need for the awning to be delivered since we were removing two large trees in our yard and needed some shade on the deck for the summer. On July 13, 2013 the awning was installed. The workers were polite, clean, and efficient. An explanation on using the awning; removal of the valance for the winter; care and cleaning were offered, as well as manual use in an emergency. We were able to start using and enjoying the awning immediately. The next sub-contractor we met was the electrician. He arrived earlier than anticipated and was pleasant, competent, very hard-working, and did a clean job. He installed a power jack and completed an attic installation so the deck outlet could be used for other things. WINDOWS Windows were installed September 5,6,7,9,and 10 of 2013. Household furnishings and window treatments were handled carefully. Any concern that was expressed was immediately remedied. The windows have grids and I was uneasy about appearance of some of them. The foreman immediately paid attention and called person at store to express my concerns. I was assured that if not satisfied upon completion, there would be replacements. One screen arrived damaged on day one and a new one was ordered and installed by the final day of work. During the time the dining room window was being installed I noticed a small ceiling crack, above the window, and what appeared to be water stains. The foreman went up on the roof and found that the flashing was damaged. He immediately fixed it. I HAVE TO SAY I WAS EXTREMELY IMPRESSED AND GRATEFUL!! The bow window required several helpers to get into the house and install. It's really beautiful and everything I had asked for. This is the second time we have installed replacement windows but his time when I questioned anything during the final walk-through it was taken care of. There are areas around the windows requiring some and quot;touch-upand quot; painting and of course, the bow window area needs a primer and two coats of paint. FIBERGLASS DOOR and STORM DOOR The fiberglass door was installed on September 5,2013. I immediately noticed a small imperfection between the glass. The foreman took a photo of it and notified the store that a replacement was needed. I was shown how to use the keypad and emergency key. A new bell was put on the door. I ordered a two tone door with a darker outside and lighter inside. I'm very pleased with the appearance. On October 7, 2013, the storm door, replacement glass on the front door, and the pilasters were installed. This was a big job and took about four months for completion. People in a hurry would obviously have difficulty with this. For me I think back to the last time I replaced windows. It was quick, messy, and of course, needed to be replaced again.

Workers came early and built a fixed awning with skylights over our rear deck. We were going to go with a rolling awning but glad we changed our minds and went with the fixed awning. Skylights are a great add on. Don't care when it rains now. We were going to use the same company to build us a portico with covered porch. Got an estimate but then the salesman referred someone in his family and beat the price. So we hired him. BAD IDEA!!!! It turned out the nephew was not lincensed or insured when he tore apart our home. His business card and website were lies. Now I feel embarrassed too ask Wendel Home Center to come and fix/repair my home from the damage that was done. Live and learn. I should have just searched thru Angie's list.

I stopped into the showroom to get an idea of their prices on siding( I'm starting to shop around and have an idea of how much it should cost) I don't want to waste my time or their with a long sales pitch at my home. I just wanted basic idea of what the price started at for the exact brand that I wanted The sales rep stated they don't go by the square for siding. He was polite but a little rude because I new too much about what I was looking for

.Contacted provider on 2/26/13. Someone came out on 3/19 and told me someone else would could out to see job to determine final cost within two weeks. After 2 weeks I called and was told I'm in the and quot;rotationand quot; for someone to come out to look at job. I had to call again which I did sometime in June. They came out middle of June. Job was begun sometime in July. I was told I needed to pay an extra $150 to paint a replacement beam which was 2and quot; x 6and quot; by 14'. And that I needed to supply the paint. I went out and bought a quart of paint for about $5.00 and it took another week for them to pick the paint up. When they finally started to do the job, I was told I needed to replace another 2 beams. That was Ok by me. Additional charge for two beams $300 plus $150.00 to paint ??????? OK. Job was done and everything looked nice. Two weeks later we got a heavy rain. I noticed a leak in the panel and several places where the nails had not gone into the beam but on the side of it. I called the provider. 2 weeks later workers came out to look at it. I asked if the panel with the hole would be replaced, but no. They put silicone over the hole which is ok, I guess. Job. was supposed to be $3,539 and wound up being $3,989. Except for and quot;dirtand quot; accumulating between the fiberglas the job looks nice. Just hoping it will withstand rain and wind. I guess if I didn't have to wait almost 5 months for them to complete the job, if they hadn't made me buy the paint and then charged an exorbitant amount to paint the beams, I guess I would have come away with a better taste in my mouth for these people. I would like to say that I did not believe their story their story that because of Storm Sandy I had to wait so long. I believe they simply did not put me on the list of jobs. I also want to emphasize that except for the dirt accumulating between the panels, the job looks very nice.

installer arrived about 1 hour late, but went to work with no hesitation. he did an excellent job in removing old door and installing new door and also installed new molding that matched new door. everything was cut perfectly to size and fit exactly with no gaps at all. he even added extra caulking on older part of door. I was very pleased with the installation. In all, the saleslady and staff are very nice people, they have a good product, price was good, and the installation was excellent. I have no qualms in recommending them to anyone.

I had Wendel Home Center do a screen porch for me. Thought they took a long time getting back with me I had to call them several times. I liked the service from Wendel Home Center but I did not like the installer they had sent. The work was done beautifully.
