Description of Work: Was trying to get an estimate to do electrical work on the house. They quoted me a starting price of $1400. But would not come to the house to give a proper estimate because they weren't billable hours. I was able to get estimates from 2 other companies who came to the house and looked at the work needed. Without billing me for the hours.

Description of Work: I called Newgrange to get a quote on installing an outlet and a new breaker in my basement. Mr. Sparky wanted $500 to install this and Newgrange gave my a quote of $140 over the phone. I set up an appointment and they showed up exactly at the time they said they would, they performed the work perfectly and charged me exactly what they said they would. I was very impressed and would definitely use them again! outstanding job Newgrange!

+ 0 moreThe electrician arrived promptly and immediately began work on replacing the ballast. Due to the fact that the high hat ballast was recessed into the ceiling the job was not easy. The electrician removed and replaced the old ballast with a new one. He also relamped a path light in my front yard. The entire job was completed in an hour. Extraordinary. He was very knowledgeable, quick, and clean.This was an outstanding experience. I would not hesitate to use NewGrange Electric again.
Description of Work: I needed a ballast to be changed for a high hat in my kitchen. I emailed NewGrange Electric last night, and they called me first thing this morning. After a brief discussion of my problem, they set an appointment for this afternoon.

+ 0 moreWhatever he did the lights came back right on. He also made some suggestions to my daughter for other services and said he would come back if she wanted him to provide those services. He got the job done because now the lights come on. I would use them again if I needed them. I would call him back if we decided to do what he suggested. I am not sure what the price would be but I was willing to pay him what he charged.

+ -1 moreWhen I discovered the emergency (hot wall!) I called my super and with his help we shut down all the power to that area to avoid a fire. I called three electricians and could not find anyone available to respond. I had to go into to my office but had no firm appointment with anyone. Finally, Eddie (to the rescue!) offered to come that evening when I got home from work. He was very polite and professional, thorough and neat. I never asked about price because I thought the problem was going to result in a big job. Eddie gave me great news - it turned out to be minor. He gave me a very reasonable and honest price. When I need work in the future and will not hesitate to call him again.
Description of Work: I had an emergency where the wall near my light switch became very hot. I had to shut down all power to avoid fire. Eddie came to my home in the evening and was very professional. He thoroughly explained the problem with the wiring and installed a new switch.
