Description of Work: We started out with new gutters and front porch, steps and handrail. Went on to a new roof and kitchen. The work was top notch, professional, reasonably priced, courteous workers, great attention to detail. Any issues were resolved in a timely manner. Our satisfaction was clearly a priority. Would recommend, and will be a repeat customer. Our contractors Paul and Bill really looked out for us.

Description of Work: Gutted and replaced existing driveway and front stoop. Driveway is 77 feet x 12 feet. The front stoop is only 3 steps. Crew worked hard. Job took 3 days. One day to rip out, one day to prep and frame out the forms and one day to lay the concrete. I found the principals impossible to contact once the job started to answer any question or concerns but the workers were responsive to my concerns. Note: you can haggle with them over pricing.

Description of Work: Waterproofed entire house. Rebuilt window wells and changed basement windows. Redid front porch, built drywell, relandscaped, etc. They had their own "team" of workers but acquired other workers for certain specialized jobs - like making window well covers. Overall it went well and I was glad to get everything over with at once. It was a little expensive but I have no regrets.

Description of Work: Removed old shingles and replaced them on peak of my house. Very thorough and neat job, although they did not furnish the cap on my chimney flu as requested, claiming that the other cap was too closely positioned to fit an additional one. They assured me that they would look for a different kind of cap that would fit and let me know the result of their search. I'm interested to know if they ever will, or if they were just blowing smoke up my chimney, as it were.

Description of Work: A tree fell on my roof from Hurricane Sandy. I used this listing service to find this company. The owner's divide themselves into two parts. The estimator half came over and gave me my price which was just about four thousand dollars. They told me it was a good price for the roof repair. They told me that I would need that part of the roof taken down and also the underboard and that a new plywood would be used and a new roof replacement installed. This did happen just as I have described. They came on the right day and did what they said they were going to do. HOWEVER, one big thing happened that probably I wll never forget. The second owner came over, sat down at the table, and insisted my beams were crooked, and that I needed to rip out my beams for another $6000. I told him I did not have that money. He insisted that the team could not go on without ripping out the beams. I kept telling him that I did not have any more money, and he did not stop badgering and insisting and bullying me. He threatened to walk out on the whole job. While the beams were naked. He kept saying I got too good a price and did I want to finish up the WRONG WAY. i STARTED CRYING. He seemed threatening and I would never want to go through this experience again. Why do this. I had one of the men take a picture of my beams when he had finally finally finally stopped and left, and had this picture of the beams assessed and they looked fine. I would never subject myself to this kind of humiliation in a two part assault planned out (notice he came when the roof was uncovered, and not before) Still shaking. but the roof seems good now and there are no more leaks. And they did come back also to do the gutters as they said. Still...why have to go through this.

Description of Work: The repair of my gutter was completed within days of the estimate - dependent on having good weather. The work was completed quickly and the end result looked great. Can't wait for the next torrential downpour!

Description of Work: I called this company as a third estimate after a nightmare situation of rain coming in at the top of some windows due to my cedar shingles being ancient and rotting. The water was going behind the shingles and gradually destroying everything underneath & surrounding the windows. Their estimate was the lowest and they also pointed out other areas around my house where the same problem was starting. I just instantly liked these guys as they were just plain nice and trying to accommodate my situation as a single parent and make different suggestions to save me money. They showed me a photo album of other houses in the area that they'd recently worked on. That was impressive but what stood out in their album was the pictures of their families. These are family guys that have their priorities in order. So I hired them to do the work.
