Description of Work: We had contracted with Serrano to put vinyl siding our our house. The salesperson we met with was knowledgeable. We had contacted 3 or 4 different companies and Serrano was by far the most reasonable. The job was completed in a timely fashion and done according to the contract. The workers were courteous, and skilled. Once the project was completed the owner himself came to inspect the results and found several minor things that he was not happy with (even though we hadn't noticed) and had his workers return to correct the deficiencies. I would definitely recommend them and we are planning to have them replace our roof sometime in the near future.

Description of Work: I contacted the company via their website 1/2/13 to see if I could get someone out for a repair on an existing ceiling leak from a second story window. I was called back immediately, explained the problem and was told the job would probably be $650 or less. I told them I just needed to check with the landlord but would get back to them ASAP. I did the next day and at that point things went down hill. I received a call from Erika later that day asking to send pictures so they could do a bid without having someone drive out. They are approximately 1 hour from my home. I texted the pictures immediately but didn't hear back. I followed up the next day via email and she said they were not received so I emailed them. On 1/10/13 I emailed again as I had not heard anything about the pictures or getting anyone to my home to do the job. I stated if they were not interested in performing the services since I am too far then let me know so I can find someone else. She assured me I was important and that she wold schedule the owner to come out and do a proper bid since the pictures were not good enough. I never heard from them again. It is now 2/4/13 and I have already had another contractor out TWICE to fix the issue. I do not consider an hour to be too far away for work especially in the Hudson Valley. If they were too busy then they should have the courtesy to reach out to waiting customers. I find the whole situation very unprofessional and will not recommend them to anyone.

Description of Work: I called Serrano II because we were were seeing water stains along one side of our home, from the living room through two bedrooms. The owner (I'm sorry I can't remember his name) contacted me to discuss the issue. He spent a lengthy amount of time going over our situation, asking questions and getting details. Eventually he recommended that we get dehumidifiers as it sounded to him as though the problem was excess humidity in the house rising from the basement causing excess moisture. he explained that with the recent changes in climate, a lot of people were experiencing the same issue. We had a dehumidifier already but added another one for our second floor. This resolved the problem. Serrano II could have come and sold me on roof improvements or installation of a ceiling fan but instead dealt with me on an individual basis and offered a simple remedy with no benefit to them. The owner was extremely knowledgeable about roofing and home construction and took the time to share that knowledge. Based on my experience . I would definitely trust Serrano II and would call them for future roofing needs.

Description of Work: Snow had to be shoveled off the roof so the shingles could be removed which was done quickly. Two layers of shingles had to be removed,three sheets of plywood had to be replaced and a skylight had to be removed and replaced.The new shingles look great and the entire crew did a great job from beginning to the end. Cleanup was well done and everything was completed in one day.
