It went well. The team was quick and efficient. One gentleman sat in the truck while the other worked. Cleanup was non-existent and I even brought this but when the salesman showed up. I encourage that anyone who uses their services request plastic be put down to minimize foam from getting on the floor.

All went really well. Prior to the appointment, I was sent reading material which was helpful and prepared me for the appointment. On the day of the appointment, Nick was professional and personable. His presentation was outstanding. I really liked the videos. I had several questions, and I felt like Nick took his time to ensure I understood and was satisfied with each answer. My neighbors had their attic sprayed by Foamco and they’re extremely satisfied. According to them, their house is much more comfortable during the winter and summer, and they’re saving money monthly on energy bills. The only reason I didn’t get it done was because of sticker shock.

It was nice. They did a good job. They were very professional. They were courteous. They were efficient. They were clean. They were very, very good. I liked them. The price was good. I would absolutely use them again. The owner, his son, and a worker came out. They arrived about ten minutes to 9:00. They left about 2:00 in the afternoon. This was my first time using them.

They basically put the siding back in backwards.

Very straight forward, they showed up on time explained everything and did a great quality job.

This was a great contractor experience. My initial phone call got a quick scheduling for an estimate. The estimate was fair, work was scheduled, the team arrived on-time and worked professionally - and I have now completed the final step of winterizing a small three season bungalow. Kudos Foamco, you all know how to provide great service.

Clean On time Professional

We got a couple of estimates to spray the cellar sills where the house meets the foundation. We chose Foamcoinc because of the knowledge of the person that came and gave us an estimate...I think his name was Dave. He had some good ideas on how to spray and seal under the bay windows, left samples of the foam with us, and some more information. I thought that was great so I could make a more informed decision. Not to mention the 'R' value of the foam he would use was much higher than the other company's and he price matched the other company's price in his estimate! They showed up about a half hour early, which was slightly inconvenient. Thank goodness my husband was home since I just got out of the shower when the doorbell rang. They came in and went right to work. They did everything they said they were going to do and a bit more than expected. The thickness of the spray insulation was thicker than they specified and they were neat and clean! A great experience! Try them out for yourself! I will be calling them for when I am ready to do the attic.

More often than not, contractors are nightmares. By contrast, Foamco is a dream. Although they're based over 40 miles away, they came up promptly to view my attic and provide a quote to insulate it with open cell foam. The price was perfect. Any less and I would have been suspicious. Any more and I couldn't have afforded the work. In addition to the price, calculated before the principal left my driveway, they answered a variety fo technical questions about alternative approaches, clarified what condition I had to have the space in for the quote to apply, and assured me it would be a complete job. Three weeks later, they arrived as scheduled to an attic stripped of obstructions and old ceiling components. The crew of two proceeded to insulate the entire roof, which has tall peaks, two dormers, deep eaves, high gables, and two large semi-obstructed openings into an adjacent cold attic. By 3PM every surface exposed to the exterior was fully foamed and cut back to the rafter surface, ready for sheetrocking. They sealed the irregular openings into the annex with foamed cardboard panels (one of which is removable for access). It was an amazing one day transformation. I now have a warm, cozy, usable attic instead of a giant heat radiator. I'm pretty sure the job will pay back in about three years, without even accounting for the added usable space. I cannot recommend Foamco highly enough as a contractor that does what they promise and then some. I would absolutely not want to do that work and I admire the employees, Jay and Pablo, for their dedication under very unpleasant conditions. This is the second vendor I've chosen from Angie's List, and both experiences have been very gratifying. One warning, the scope of building codes have has now been extended into anything that affects the building envelope, so with the Foamco rig parked rather obviously in front of the house for less than 3 hours, I got an authoritative knock on the door from the town building inspector, flashing his badge and telling me I needed a permit for insulation. Fortunately, I was totally believable when i told him i had no inkling that such work needed a permit, so he let me pay for it without penalty. Beware the authorities. In my case, foam with a fire spread rating of 25 or less does not require sheetrock or other flame retardant covering.

I highly recommend FoamCo (Dr Energy Saver). From start to finish they were outstanding. I contacted them based on their Angie's List reviews and ratings. I also contacted two other local foam insulation contractors that had been recommended by friends. Dave Vasseur from FoamCo came to do a walkthrough and estimate - he was punctual, professional and personable. He was also the most thorough compared to the other contractors who I called for estimates. His estimate $5,340 was the best price of the three. One contractor quoted an unbeleivable $14,000 for the same job! Scheduling was very easy, and they accommodated a last minute date change from us. Our spayer was Miguel, an absolute artist and craftsman. He didn't miss an inch and the team made sure to cover everything carefully with plastic & cleaned up completely after they had finished. The best part is the dramatic difference in heat retention. We have yet to run the oil furnace this fall-- last night we hit 37 degrees outside and this morning it was still 68 in the main living area, and 70 upstairs. Before the foam insulation we would've been down into the low 60s inside and running the furnace already. Thank you Dave and FoamCo!

Overall, very happy with the service. Foamco installed foam insulation on two exterior walls and around the exterior sill plates in my basement. The crew was on time and did a very good job.

The job was done extremely well. The men came on time and were polite and professional. They sealed off the rest of the house to keep it clean and went to work. When the job was finished were very pleased. I am now able to use my attic in the winter. It is warm and free of drafts. Without a heater it is toasty warm.

The NY job went very well. It was a budget job so the the foam wasn't trimmed back to be smooth and remains just as it set up. Bumpy and lumpy, but, again, this was a budget job and it was done quickly.

THE WORST EXPERIENCE YOU CAN IMAGINE! DO NOT USE FOAMCO!!! The best we can figure is that they mixed the foam improperly because the resulting off-gassing through the walls and from the smudges of foam throughout the apartments was so noxious that the two homes were left uninhabitable for three months. It created a burning sensation on the throats of anyone who breathed it for more than a few minutes, and gave one of us a headache who was in there without a mask for 30 minutes. They also spilled the mixture in the parking lot, which also had to be remediated because of the same overpowering smell, even outdoors. Sounds bad, right? That?s just the tip of the iceberg. We let Foamco know about the problem as soon as we realized what was happening, seeking their support and guidance. They said they?d send someone to check it out. Nobody came. We called again. They said they?d have the appropriate person call us. Nobody did. Then they just stopped returning our calls and e-mails. We kept Foamco updated and practically pleaded with them to call us or visit. They never did. So we had to figure out the whole remediation process by ourselves. The cost to us of remediating the problem was over $3,000, plus three months of lost rent, plus over 45 documented hours of our time doing the remediation work, not to mention all the time trying to deal with FoamCo. Plus we still don?t even know if the foam in there is safe or if it?s even doing the insulation job it was supposed to. But the only other option would be to open the walls and completely remove all of it, a nightmare we cannot afford to face so we?re just leaving it. One of the two families refused to move back in and moved somewhere else instead because of health concerns about the off-gassing. The following is an excerpt from one of many e-mails we sent them, which is documented as part of our complaint to the Better Business Bureau (which appears as ?resolved,? a pretty but deceptive word that simply means we do not have the time or money to fight FoamCo further). 11/8/2012: ?We've been appalled at the total lack of support or even communication from you all. I don't know what the thinking was over there, but the silence has spoken volumes. We were blown away at first by you all doing nothing to help us with this situation, not even offering suggestions from a distance, and then were blown away that there was zero interest from you in learning how we dealt with it so you would be better prepared if/when this kind of situation arises again. ?I hate to think of the consequences of this kind of situation for someone who doesn't have the in-house competence and confidence we have to deal with such a noxious and unhealthy environment, and can only pray that you wouldn't have completely neglected them the way you have us. We hope you will seriously consider creating a plan for how you can respond with integrity to this kind of situation if/when it happens again in the future. ?As it is, we continue to hope that you will inform us if you have any insight into the potential health impact of our continuing to live here with whatever is behind our walls." They seemed great all through the estimate process and setting up dates. From there it was a disaster. If you want to have foam installed, DO NOT USE FOAMCO, and make sure you talk with the installers about what their commitment is to working with you if something goes wrong.

Foam Co were great. One of the owners made an appointment to give me an estimate the day after my first inquiry. I booked an appointment the following day. But I had to change the appointment twice because my other contractors were not completed. No problem. I called up and they rescheduled, twice, not complaints, no attitude. The crew that did the install took one day. The job was well done, looks great. They left the house clean as a whistle. I had a great experience with this vendor. Thank you.

initial interview was the best part, Jay was very informative & personable. answered questions ahead of appointment. arrived on time, quickly set up plastic to protect windows & floor etc. foam installation time was shorter than expected. 7 hours total we did not stay in the house that night so the fumes could dissipate. clean up up was good, some scrapings left over that were manageable with our shop-vac.

Workers showed up promptly and were very professional in establishing a clean work space by putting down plastic all throughout my upstairs. The workers were great in getting the job done correctly. I had removed all of my interior walls for them to spray into the walls and they made sure if i was placing new sheetrock to scrape the insulation down to the joists. However, I did not like that the owner did not show up as he was the one that gave me the estimate and then I had to relay everything we spoke about to the workers. Also, I placed a great deal of plastic on my floors in the basement and after the workers left I had to clean up areas where foam was sprayed onto my rug. Most of it would not come off. I would have hoped better cleanup would have been done. In the end, the two workers did work very efficiently together and completed the job to my utmost satisfaction.

What a GREAT service from David Vasseur of Foamco. Price is half the cost from their competitor, 4 - Seasons, and service is impeccable ! Professionally I've been in practice for building design and construction for over 20yrs and renvoating my home for the past 12yrs, and Mr. Vasseur is one of few contractor who listens then address customer's complains. If you are seeking to save every penny and expect great service, I reommend HIGHLY, Foamco.

It was a wonderful experience especially after I experienced a crooked contractor after putting on addition onto my house a few years ago.

Jay came for the estimates, on time as always. The scheduling was done. We had to cancel the first day due to inclement weather but the crew was at work the next day. Most of the time was spent protecting walls and floors with plastic. The drilling was done using a 1/2 inch bit. The foam was injected between the beams. The work was controlled using an infrared camera which did confirm the effectiveness of the procedure. The crew left after a good cleaning. Two days later my house is back in order, after spackling the holes and painting the ceilings myself.

Well, the project manager came by to assess, recommend and provided me with a verbal pricing. In a matter of days I received the written estimate. We agreed on a date and the professional were on time. In 2 short hours, the work was completed. In fact, during this winter I noticed a huge difference in warmth very low humidity. Absolute kudos to Team Foamco for the fantastic work! Only at Angies list can you find dependable and reliable contractors to meet your needs.
