My experience with Anthony scozzafava DBA A. Scozzi Back in 2008 my family purchased TWO outdoor wood burners one for My brothers home and the other For our parents The total purchase was over $22,000. Since the installation Mr scozzafava has been back a couple times for maintenance on the unit . All in, the unit has worked fine, and it’s important to note that My brother does not use the unit any longer. Now , recently we had a situation where the fan stopped working. This presented a sensitive situation that based on where we live , temperatures have been below freezing. When I reached out to Mr. scozzafava to mention our problem he text back that he was “too busy to address the problem at hand”. I advised him that my parents are elderly and this presents a serious situation he basically said “you are on your own , I’m sorry you can’t find someone to help you “. It’s important to know that he had been out to do maintenance on the unit in the past but yet at this time says that he does not do maintenance on the boiler that he installed When I called him to ask for his help he said “ I’ve done a few service calls for your father at little to no cost”. For the record this is inaccurate he’s been paid for each and every time he came to the property - we have the cancelled checks . Clearly A scozzi does not stand by their product that the sell. Mr. scozzafava maybe should re evaluate products he installs and represents after all who is a product rep these days who washes their hands after installation. It’s also important to note that we asked him politely if he can make a suggestion to someone else that can help us and he did not reply To reiterate my parents are elderly this is a very sensitive time during the year and I think that he should’ve at least provided a solution or placed a call to help us mitigate the problem. His choice words were to say no and leave it at that. In my mind this is not a good representation of good customer service We really regret that this had to happen and hope for the general consumer that they don’t have the same experience
