Description of Work: Rob and his crew were top notch from the initial consultation to the very end of the project. My wife and I needed a gut renovation of our 1937 co-op apartment's original kitchen (9'x 10') and (c.1970's) bathroom (6'x 8'). Rob's inspection process was very thorough and his quote fair, so I felt very comfortable in choosing him. | |Rob worked with a small crew of 3 other guys, but they were fast and efficient. Demo only took 2 days, and before we knew it the rooms were taking shape. Along the way we requested a few design changes...replace a door here, add a light fixture there, etc...and Rob was very accommodating. Rob helped us pick out the right fixtures and appliances, and even helped install some HEAVY DUTY floating shelves in the kitchen that were not a part of the contract. I acquired some 12x3" reclaimed southern yellow pine for the shelves, and it was no easy task to install these bad boys - but with Rob's help it was a cinch. | |Rob's commitment to his clients was evident when, after the co-op tried to make me foot the bill for something I was not responsible for, he offered to split the expense - even though he had zero obligation to do so. I should note that the co-op ultimately covered the total expense themselves, as they should have in the first place. Also, after my wife and I decided we did not like our backsplash after it had been installed, Rob came back and changed it to our liking the very next day - free of charge. | |My wife and I are so happy with how our renovation turned out, and we can't wait to start a family in our new home. We have Rob and his crew to thank for it; can't recommend these guys enough! | |Ken |

 + -1 moreI got several estimates and decided to go with ROBART CONSTRUCTION INC. One of the reasons their estimate was so reasonable, was that I shopped and ordered all the items myself, (tub, toilet, cabinet, tiles - floor and wall) based on the specs they provided to me and had everything delivered. They suggested places I could shop, but I could shop anywhere I chose. They were very helpful in making suggestions about the layout of the bathroom based on their experience. I love the lighting - I have a dim light over the bath which is very relaxing. There is another light with the cabinet and high hats in the ceiling. The floor has large tiles and the shower wall is tiled half way. I have an apartment in a co-op so work plans had to be submitted to the board and approved. The board was very pleased with how they worked, followed the building rules and cleaned up the area every day. I found them to be very trustworthy. I felt comfortable having them work in my apartment, while I went to work. If there was something I didn't like, they addressed the issue. They said the job would take about 5 days - and they were true to their word. I would definitely recommend them. In fact - when I eventually get around to doing my kitchen I will be calling them again.
Description of Work: I had my bathroom done - I am really not sure of the exact date , but it was approximately 9 years ago. The apartment building was built in the 60's.I had it gutted and built from scratch. It is a small bathroom.The floor, walls, ceiling, toilet, sink, tub, shower, tiles, cabinets, lighting and door were all replaced.

 + -1 moreTHEY DID EVERYTHING THEY PROMISED THEY WOULD DO. THEY FINISHED ALL OF THE WORK IN THE AMOUNT OF TIME THAT THEY TOLD US IT WOULD TAKE BEFORE THEY STARTED THE JOB. THE COST WAS REASONABLE AND THEIR WORK IS OF VERY HIGH QUALITY.
Description of Work: THEY REMODELED THE KITCHEN AND BATHROOM.
