I was referred to Big Apple for annual boiler inspection. A few months later I had a big gas issue and after researching every route I can take, I chose big apple to replace all gas lines in a very old brownstone building. This was a huge project and Ken did a beautiful job, being sure to minimize damage to each kitchen and the basement. It is not easy to find licensed plumbers with experience and knowledge, Big Apple is IT. I called many companies and no pne made me feel confident in their potential like Big Apple did. There are a few Big Apple plumbing companies in NY, very hard to find accurate reviews when I was doing my research, be sure to cross check location and names to know you are looking at the right one. Carpl, Ken and Kenny are a wonderful team. You don't get people like Carol on the phone at companies anymore. . Carol is so kind, professional and patient. Very relieved to have found Big Apple for all plumbing needs as a new property manager for 2 buildings.

Ken and his team were polite, friendly and professional all the way. They showed up on time, got right to work, and efficiently completed the various repairs and improvements I needed done at a competitive, reasonable cost. Ken was also very forthcoming in answering my many questions, before, during, and after the job was completed. I'm very satisfied with Big Apple Plumbing, and will be hiring them again for some additional plumbing projects later in the year.

Two plumbing disasters have recently occurred simultaneously in our ninety year old house. First, the sewer pipe underneath the concrete floor in the basement collapsed, which caused continuous flooding. Another serious plumbing problem was revealed as a result of the sewer pipe issue; there was a leak in the run-off pipe from my boiler. Both of these problems needed immediate attention. Because of the quirky configuration of the basement, in order to fix these problems a very creative and out of the box solution had to be part of the plan. Ken Cavaliere Jr. works efficiently with very capable assistants in order to efficiently expedite the work. The work was completed beautifully and they even did a great job cleaning up. Ken Cavaliere Jr. is an excellent and creative plumber.

Arrived with parts and tools, work completed; afforfable, no hassle. Negative Payment options, would have been a plus if there were wallet or Credit Card options. No mess left to clean up after repairs.

It may be unusual today to be using the same services for years, but we have known and used the services of Big Apple Plumbing for over 30 years. We were hooked when the founder of this business spotted the source of a problem we had in exactly less than a minute , and we haven’t had that issue since. We’ve had a multitude of work done and can say that not only is the work excellent, but the family is professionals, honest and super friendly. Why go anywhere else? It’s a little crazy to think that the original owners son is now doing all our work, but hey we all get older. It’s also a great thing to see happen, and if you’re looking for a reliable, knowledgeable company for any of your plumbing needs - big or small - you couldn’t do any better than Big Apple.

I called Big Apple Plumbing soon after moving into a fixer-upper home. They replaced an ancient gas valve that was stuck closed, and also diagnosed and fixed an issue with my oil heating. This was all done with a same-day appointment. Overall, we found them very friendly both in person and on the phone. And the price was extremely reasonable. I will definitely be calling Big Apple Plumbing in the future, and I highly recommend them for anyone in the area.

I can't imagine working with another plumber — the entire experience exceeded my expectations. Carol got back to me with a very fair quote same day and we set a date within the week to get the units replaced. Ken and his team were prompt, professional. I've used big apple plumbing for many years from having annual boiler cleaning to larger plumbing work. They're a small family business who does great work, all around. This past winter my 40+ year old boil cracked. I needed a new gas boiler and gas line. Big Apple went above and beyond on this job. They provided competitive pricing and made what could have been a pain into a very smooth process for me. They were incredibly professional, tidy, and answered all of my questions with patience and grace. If you are ever need plumbing/heating work done go to Big Apple.

They were excellent plumbers. They were very good. We had a great time. They were professional. 3 Plumbers came to look the boiler and they could not fix it. I spent thousands of dollars but still they did not fixed it. I went to angi and found Big apple because of their good reviews. I made an appointment and they came to my house to look at the boiler. My wife and I agreed that it would probably be a waste of time and money if they would come because 3 plumbers took a look at it and they did not fix it. Ken and his assistant Justine, from Big apple came to my house on time. They were the one who diagnosed the problem and fixed it. My boiler was now fixed after 2 years. If you have plumbing problems, I highly recommended Big Apple Plumbing.

Big Apple was great--they came when they said they would and managed to replace a broken boiler drain line without having to replace the low-water cutoff unit it was attached to, which would have been a much more expensive repair. I'd call them again.

Amazing! I left a message on Angie in the morning and within 2 hours I got a phone call from Big Apple. They are able to send someone out there in the afternoon and got it taken care of in less than an hour. They are very professional and on time. Highly recommended.

Ken and his crew arrived in the time window that had been promised, diagnosed the problem right away, and worked diligently for two and a half hours to fix it. They even had a toilet on hand in their truck that fit our specifications, saving us a trip to Home Depot. They even put in tiles provided by us so that the wall behind the toilet doesn't look bare, although that was not in their job description. Another plumber had quoted a price of $1700 for the same job, which Big Apple Plumbing did for $650. They charged an extra $100 for the tile work and that was fair enough, because it added to the time needed to complete the job of putting in the new toilet and fixing the lead; in addition, Big Apple had gone above their job description in putting in the tiles for us. In terms of customer service and quality of work, Big Apple Plumbing is top notch. I can also add that they cleaned up the debris from the work and left the work area clean.

I can't praise this family business enough. They tick all the boxes for courtesy, professionalism, responsiveness and value. Each time they've come to our shop to fix something they came when they said they would, fixed the issue quickly, cleaned up beautifully and charged us a fair price. Highly, highly recommended.

It feels great to have somebody I can call to come out and fix things, and I don't feel taken advantage of or talked down to. Great guys. With the radiator system, I'd had people out twice to fix it, but it didn't stay fixed for more than a week. Big Apple came out, found the real problem, replaced a part, and bingo: wonderful heat for the last month! Today I showed them the strange and shoddy previous fix on a faucet (we are renters, and there are LOTS of "fixes" like this in this apartment unfortunately)- Ken said we should replace it with a thing that actually works, and we did. glorious. thanks Big Apple!

My heat kept going out. I had several 3 companies come to fix the problem. The heat always went out again in a few days. Big Apple Plumbing and Heating re-lit the pilot light, and then searched to find the cause that kept making the pilot-light turn off. I have Instant Hot Water. The hot water is heated by a direct connection with the boiler. They found leaks in the connection of the boiler and the hot water unit, and some in the attachment of the boiler also. I'm so relieved that its fixed, and they searched for the cause of the problem!
