This is the second time I've used NH Ross and once again they lived up to their slogan 'Ross to the rescue!' We have been living with sub standard plumbing into our second bathroom since we moved into the property and finally we had to admit defeat and get it sorted out. Working in a grubby crawl space under the oldest part of our house, the guys came in smiling and left smiling (I would have been crying by the time somebody had made me work in a sewage filled crawl space for 4 hours straight). They figured out the issue, gutted the old system, replaced it with a new system, checked, double checked and then checked again (just in case) that it was all working correctly. So, today we officially said 'bubye' to the sixty year old, nasty, probably never worked right since the day it was installed plumbing and said 'hello' to a properly fitted sytem that means we can actually use our bathroom again. Praise be. Honest to god these guys are the best. You'd be mad not to use them for your plumbing. I mean, come on, how often do you find a plumber that does what they say they're going to do and more besides? Worth every penny and more on top. We made a decision that when we come to move we're going to get these guys in to check out the plumbing and electrics (they do all that too) before we sign on the dotted line. Look no further for truly expert professionals. These guys know their stuff. : ) I'm a very happy camper and I'm stoked about finally being able to have a bath in that bathroom without fear of something evil working its way back up the pipes and into the house. Hoorah for NH Ross.

They are expensive. They are very professional. I would not use them again.

The service tech came out on a Saturday (and at the schedule time) and confirmed then part needed to be replaced. As the water heater was only 3 years old, the thermostat was a new computerized one he had to order on Monday. He ordered the part on Monday, after I reminded him that the water heater was still under warranty, so I did not have to pay for the part just labor. He got the part on Tuesday morning and had it replaced by Tuesday afternoon. The service was great, the technician was professional, the only negative was price. For two trips to my house, two trips to the parts store to get the part and the 15 minutes it took him to install it, the total bill was ~$500. He did say that he have to and quot;floatand quot; the $350 for the warranted part because the water heater manufacturer would take 6-8 weeks to pay him for the part after he sent the old one back to them. It was a good experience, outside the cost and being without hot water for 4 days.

I met with Neal Ross about two years ago to do an oil to gas conversion but something came up and I could not do the conversion.Neal was very paitent and took the time to answer all of my questions and never seemed annoyed. I asked a lot of questions in the two year span. I got 2 other quotes and NH Ross was right in the middle, price wise. Neal's professionalism is what sold me.He seemed to know what he was doing and wanted to deliver a quality Job. He took pride in his work. His team of Tom McGintey and crew were polite, professional and knowledgeable. They said they would get the job done in two days and they did. There were a few small items that I did not like, I mentioned it and it was fixed. They did an audit a few weeks later to make sure everything was working properly and it was. Their office is very helpful and polite but I think has their hands tied when it comes to conversions and getting a new gas line installed from the street to the house. I love my new GAS bolier, it is so efficent and I am so happy I never have to call to order oil ever again and all the aggravation associated with an oil burner. I used the burner that Nat Grid provided and it seems like a quality burner, Burnham SC-5 Oh , I even got a box of cookies after the job was done to thank me for the business, I thought that was a class move! Don't change that Neal. Overall I am very happy with NH Ross and I recommend you invite Neal Ross into your home to get the Job done hassle free! All the best Satisfied Customer Long Island N.Y.

They removed an oil tank after emptying it (did not give me a dime for the oil) and left the floor covered with oil. I had to insist that they come back and clean it. The installation is so horrible that my regular plumbers have left stickers on both the burner and gas heater that they did not install either one. They moved the vent from the water heater so that it now leaves me vulnerble to carbon monoxide poisoning as they have the vent going down hill instead of up hill, also the crap they used to reattach it to wall is falling off and during a very heavy rain, water will leak through it. They didn't have the correct sized chimney liner so they had to return to do that, and now pieces of my chimney are falling off. Would stay clear of them. Dangerous service.

the first man that came tried to fix the problem and it did not get fixed probably. The next day someone came back and fixed it. Jan the ninth it broke again. They came back and put new things in to make it work with out having to pay for it.

Neil Ross personally walked us through the entire project from start to finish. They arrived on time and did exactly what was promised, even working until 10pm one night to make up for Nat Grid showing up 8 hours later than promised (they offered to come back the next day as well, but volunteered to stay since we would have to miss another day of work if they came back).

I've had both good and bad experiences with them. He was the most expensive of all the quotes for air conditioning. He quoted me almost $600 to repair the bathroom. So, I ended up doing the work myself. In fairness, we used them for probably 35 years with my mother's place who was in a retirement community. They serviced the entire community. We had very good experiences with them there. When I used them at my own private home though is when I've had bad experiences with them.

Having recently renovated an upstairs bathroom, we were horrified to see a stain appear on our dining room ceiling, which is immediately below the new bathroom. The original contactor had been a bit of a nightmare in terms of responsiveness and having already had to pay to repair some of his other work we decided to try a company on Angie's list. A bulging ceiling is a problem any time of the week, but with my entire family due to arrive from England just 2 days after spotting the stain, I was in a panic. I call Ross (to the rescue!) and Michael Dexter showed up within hours of the call. He clearly explained what he needed to do to check it out, carefully broke down the costs - giving me plenty of time to say 'no thanks' - before he proceeded to stick his knife into the ceiling to see what came out. Well, after the flood of water came rushing out it was pretty obvious that this was no simple leak. He cut away the ceiling and revealed the problem. The original contractor had raised the floor of the bathroom by 1.5" and rather than replace the 80 year old plumbing (which we had paid an extra $1,000 for him to do) he decided to 'perch' the toilet on top of 4 wax rings so that it was on the same level as the new floor. Not surprisingly the toilet had been leaking the whole time. Add to that a mish mash of horrible plumbing which even I thought looked totally dodgy (that's English slang for crappy), I was faced with a bit of nightmare. They couldn't just repair the toilet, we had to have the old plumbing ripped out and the new stuff replaced. My heart sank. But, Ross (to the rescue ... they aren't kidding about that) found a way to do the job without destroying the new bathroom floors. The ceiling already had to be replaced as it was now mouldy from a year of toilet leaks, so they went about it like a bunch of surgeons and did the whole repair from underneath!!! I kid you not. I had two questions for Michael how much and how soon could they do it. Here's the skinny on what they did. It cost approximaly half what I thought it would and they came back just one day later to do it. They showed up on time, were tidy, professional and efficient. With just 1.5 hours to spare before my sister and her clan arrived, they were done. Not a leak in site. They were AWESOME. They really did come to the rescue and I will be going back to them any time I need plumbing services. Cue super hero music ... Ross to the Rescue ... DE DA DA DAAAAHHHHH!

I had already used them and paid quite a bit of money for some service that they did for me here. It took them two weeks to get back to me with the estimate. It was very expensive. I have used him many years in the past and this time he was very expensive. Their price was quite high and they were not going down on anything. They were just very expensive. I used Ross in another house to fix an air conditioner and at that time I thought they were reasonable but now their prices were very expensive. When I asked them for an estimate they took very long to get back to me. They came out when they were supposed to get out but with the estimate they took a very long time. They told me that they would get back to me in a certain amount of time and they didn't do that. He came when he said he was going to come. I would not use them again as they are too expensive.

A technician came to my house early in the morning right before going to work, which was a big plus. The Tech. was courteous and very informative. He explained what was wrong, what repairs were needed and the cost up front. I'm very pleased and satisfied with the services I received.

Keith was the technician who came to work for us. He was excellent. He was very young, but he was very knowledgeable and very careful. He wore his bootees when he came in my house, so that he doesn't get anything like dirt, oil, or anything on my floor. He was punctual. He came and checked the air conditioner for any leaks and if it was working properly. He checked all the wiring. The lady I called up to make the appointment was excellent. I told her that I had a coupon that had a $25 off on my next service and she said that she had one that was better than that and it was a 40% off coupon and gave it to me. They are out to save the customer's money if they can. I would use their service in the future.

Great. They performed the work quickly and cleanly. I have had no problems with my house drains since.

NH Ross has an excellent staff and I would recommend them to anyone. Having their Gold Protection Plan gives me piece of mind. NH Ross really rescued me!

I FIND THIS TO BE A DISHONEST COMPANY, BECAUSE THEY TRIED TO TELL MY WIFE THERE WAS MORE WORK NEEDED THAN WAS NECESSARY. I ALSO DO NOT THINK THEY DID A GOOD JOB, BECAUSE THE DRYER IS NOT RUNNING ANYMORE EFFICIENTLY.
