Description of Work: Complete removal of corroded "heatilator" fireplace lining, created new firebox with brick and masonry shaping;installed new flue cap which is operated from within FP. Neat and as clean as possible. Went well. Had a little bit of trouble with communication pathways, but work was beautifully done.

Description of Work: Removed a badly deteriorated "heatilator" style liner, recreated the smoke box/smoke shelf, lined FP with firebrick and reengineered the chimney for better draft, placed a flue cap on the flue tile and fitted matching stone into FP to repair the 4 10 X 10 vent holes from the heatilator. Inspection for safety of the repair was thorough as was attention to the rest of the smoke path. Showed up on time, left place as clean as possible (there was some dust inevitably) and were very careful. |A bit weak in the back and forth communications after when I had a couple of very minor questions but all else at or above my expectations (reputation as "the best" from national masonry web sites well deserved).Unconditional recommendation from my point of view.

He is a superb mason, knew exactly what he was doing. Other people have come out and tried fixing my fireplace and have screwed it up. He took care of all of the issues that he screwed up. He knew exactly what he was doing.
