The Grout Medic - Nassau County North

We had the grout re-done for our Bathrooms & Kitchen tiles. Within a Week the grout started falling out of the Kitchen, we called numerous times & never got a call back from the company. Looking at numerous reviews from other websites it seems they don't remove the old grout, just put new grout on-top of it & it all eventually falls out. Can't wait for the grout to start falling out of my Bathrooms too. Would never use them again, they only wanted cash & wouldn't give us a receipt either.

The grout when applied was very messy. I had chosen a lite color sand for the floor. When the grout dried there were two very dark lines on the floor. I was told that it dried that way because there must of been water under the grout and they would come back to redo it. They came back and removed the grout on the two lines and put new grout in. It dried the same way, very dark. After calling the owner Nomi Khan for a couple of weeks and leaving messages I finally got a call back. He said he would send back his worker and redo the lines. The 3rd time the worker took out the old grout from the two lines and told me that everything was dry under the grout and this time there should not be any problems with the color. Well it dried to the same exact dark color again. Also the grout was applied very messy. It looks terrible, which ruins the whole look of the shower. I now have to call a different company to fix this problem. After 3 tries I do not think they know what they are doing.

On my first call, I left the Grout Medic a message on his answering service, and he returned it promptly. He was articulate, clearly answered my questions, and was able to schedule a visit at a mutually convenient time. He arrived at the appointed time. I was not there when he came (my adult son was), but the feedback that I got was that he was professional. His work was very nicely done; better than the tradesman who renovated my bathroom 3 years ago. He left the bathroom as clean as he found it. His minimum fee is $150. This was a very small job, but I can understand the pricing as he does have to factor in travel and drying time. I would definitely recommend him to others.

I didn't not like Grout Medic. He told me that I didn't need somethings. I actually needed re-grouting. I didn't need him to clean the grout. I got a second opinion and even a third opinion and he gave me the wrong information and when I called him back to say we really were just going to go for a complete re-grout job he kept dropping his price. He called twice after that and kept dropping his price which led me to believe he didn't give me a fair price to begin with. He didn't charge me for the estimate. I honored the Angie's list discount. He was here on time. I read some of the other reviews and people had similar feeling as I did on the whole estimate process and then I read some of the reviews of his work and so I was going to have the same problem because he was not really fixing the problem. It was just kind of a cover up.

He was great and I am going to have him do my whole kitchen over; I was very happy with his service. I hated the floor before but now it looks different, just with the grout cleaning and polishing the tile itself. It looks wonderful. He was here from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., 12 hours, and made sure everything looked good. He was very polite and told me what he was going to do when he came in. He worked non-stop and would go over places that he did not like as much as three times. The pricing was pretty reasonable because he did a lot of work and spent a lot of time doing the job. He was on time, told me when he was coming and did everything I wanted.

They did a fine job on all the work; prompt and polite.
